Please Cancel My Subscription...

I subscribe to the Wall Street Journal, and the only reason, this bears repeating, the only reason to do so is for one to get conservative viewpoints on important matters of the day, for quite frankly, where ELSE can one go? Fox? Please now, the low-brow talking heads are as bad as if not worse than the CNN crew of pathetic nobody's striving desperately to be somebody...and at least CNN's production values are heads and shoulders above the Fair And Clueless.

So if blogs don't point me in the right direction I know the Journal will, or I KNEW that the Journal would. But I simply cannot cast the following report aside as being in error, NOBODY is that far offbase, so I'm forced to conclude that it was done with full malice aforethought, and it, coupled with various other rantings from the far left, have bade me to rethink my habit of paying them money to piss me off.

By MARK GONGLOFFTHE WALL STREET JOURNAL ONLINE

"In a deeply embarrassing blow to President Bush, already politically hamstrung by a series of scandals and stumbles, Harriet Miers withdrew her name from consideration for the Supreme Court. Ms. Miers's withdrawal, less than a month after her nomination, could be a turning point in what has been a fairly disastrous second term for Mr. Bush, either offering him a springboard for a comeback or hurrying him along to lame-duck status."

Entirely incorrect. Her NOMINATION was deeply embarassing, her stepping down was deeply REFRESHING. The White House listened to it's base and all but admitted their mistake before matters got even worse. This is something to be proud of, not something to feel profound embarassment over. And the only people trying to hamstring Bush over his "stumbles" are the lefty-loons, so what's up with this guy anyway?

Clue one to the clueless: It's pissing Schumer off, and ANYTHING that pisses off Chuckie the Shoe is a GOOD THING.

The essay goes on to prattle about all things that are well known, and ends with a rather long paragraph beginning with:

"For Mr. Bush, the timing could hardly seem to be worse. A grand jury may indict top White House officials tomorrow in the CIA leak case."

Huh? To deflect the sobs into hoorays
couldn't be worse? Yes, there have been distractions, but to send the message to staunch conservatives that you got their drift is a wonderful thing that has everyone...on the right at least, and with the exception of Huey Hewitt... applauding.

Making Republicans happy made matters worse? For whom? Oh, I forgot, for the Democrats.

And for the subscriptions people after I cancel mine.
