Bush Stung As Miers Withdraws Nomination
WASHINGTON - "In a striking defeat for President Bush, White House counsel Harriet Miers on Thursday abandoned her bid to become a Supreme Court justice after three weeks of brutal criticism from fellow conservatives. The Senate's top Republican predicted a replacement candidate within days."
Okay, one more time then I stop inviting these idjits in for coffee:
If the Judiciary Comittee turns her down it's a defeat. If the full Senate turns her down it's a ringing defeat. If he runs something up the flag pole and it doesn't get saluted, he changes course, and THAT'S the guy I thought he was. I respect a man who corrects a wrong then moves on.
And now watch. Watch for the REAL DEAL, because let me tell you oh brothers and sisters of the faith, the one he wanted to nominate all along will be one helluva judge, but getting back to the ASS Press, it's frickin' hilarious to see them plastering STINGING DEFEAT over something as silly as Mz Harriet not being able to stay the course.
His support base let their feelings be known and he relented. STINGING VICTORY is more like it, eh what? A defeat is when Schumer and Kennedy and Biden and Feinstein are grinning like kids on Christmas morn'...and NOT when their whining, "It Wasn't Us! Bring back Harriet!"
