"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrives in the Middle East tomorrow, and there is no mistaking the magnitude of the task at hand: effecting an end to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah - without leaving things right where they were before it began."
And it's a good move. The enemy despises women and this will cause an immediate distraction as they foam at the mouth planning inept attempts to get to her. I'm not believing the Israeli line that they're sending in one small brigade, and the Hezzies can't believe it either but this marshals their limited resources away from discovering how many tanks and men will come storming across the border. Madam Albright proved that sending a woman to certain parts of the world was the worst thing one could do to broker a deal, and the President's advisors aren't lamebrained enough to believe she'll be anything more than a tactical diversion, and it also quiets the Loons who are calling for the US to put together a ceasefire. Condi is the perfect foil to sit down and ask the boys to play nice while the Jews get their logistics in order, and it's imperative that there be no more surprises so they must use this time well.
The only thing that will root out the Hezzies is overwhelming force on force and a brigade isn't cutting it, but we'll soon see what the Israel's really had in mind.
