Deputy Dog Makes You Work For That CCW...Just As Rudi Did

The Sheriff is also the Coroner. Sort of a one-stop-shop. And he was NRA-Approved, at that. In cases such as this, I guess the NRA backs someone who promises to enforce the law while not making it any tougher.

The NRA was wrong on this guy. He's a disgrace to any constabulary.

Thanks to War On Guns

And sequing over to the Republican candidate the media wants us to vote for in '08, just remember that the NYC gun laws are AS bad if not worse. In the late 80's, my grandfather applied for a permit to carry and was denied. As a known WWII hero from the hood, he'd made plenty of political connections in his day and had the opportunity, in passing, to bring this to Mayor Giuliani's attention. Rudi expressed his regrets but said that the law was the law, and no private citizen in the city should have a firearm unless he met strict guidelines, such as a business owner who carried lots of cash, etc. Rudi could never in a million years say what was really on his mind, that there are multitudes of "citizens" he wouldn't give a gun to regardless of how spotless their records were, and how if the law was bent for one person the minorities would scream bloody murder. A politicians dishonesty isn't something to lose sleep over, but time and time again Giuliani offered the same refrain.

Only the cops should have guns. Even if he believed otherwise, angering the police unions...the NYPD is deadset AGAINST firearm ownership by mere civilians...wasn't something he'd ever do. There was a time when I believed that he did what he had to do and said what he had to say in order to clean up NYC. Ends justifying the means.

But not anymore. He still wants registration, among other things, and has the bronze balls to say that he believes in the 2nd Amendment. I find this far worse than him having an opinion that the 2nd was, in reality all about a national guard type of militia. Either he doesn't have a clue as to what the Founding Fathers were trying to do, or is once again lying to get elected.

I wouldn't vote for Sheriff Brown.

For the same reason I wouldn't vote for Giuliani. Besides, if he does get the nomination, a conservative splinter group will run against him and take away enough votes to assure another Clinton gets elected.

Look up Ross Perot. If the liberal media has ANY brains at all, they'll handle Rudi with kid gloves. Then some Right-To-Life party will team up with 2nd Amendment devotees to take 25% of the conservative vote away and open the door for Hillary to move into the Oval Office with a mere 40% of the total electorate.

Been there, done that.

Guiliani either has an epiphany, or hands the country over to RodHam.
