US SWAT Championships Go to: Canada

Discourteous Of The Shooting Wire To Pass THIS Along

or the past two weeks, tactical teams from across the United States and other countries have been competing in a series of competitions that will help establish training regimens and overall competency. Last week, the United States National SWAT Championships were held in Littleton, Colorado.

After preliminary events yesterday, the 2008 Security Protection Officer Training Competition (SPOTC) is underway at the Department of Energy National Training Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It wraps up on June 5.

Yesterday, SPOTC competitors spent the day zeroing weapons, checking gear and getting to know each other. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. today, they'll start competing. Today and tomorrow feature individual competitions. Team competitions start tomorrow afternoon. By Thursday evening, there will be a new champion in the SPOTC."

How nice. Our paramilitary gestapo have their very own "championships". After seeing this I unsubscribed. A gem every now and again doesn't warrant wading through so much crap.
