"I'll pass along your message and thank you for calling..."

Being incommunicado has its advantages. Of course, I wouldn't recommend getting caught in a forest fire as a means to get away from it all, but sometimes we can get too close to a topic and need to take a step or two back. The immigration hullabaloo has been foremost on my mind of late, and while I can't know for certain, I kind of get the feeling that my elected representatives in Congress were staring at the phone all day yesterday wondering when a secretary would pass along the news that I'd left another message. I actually spoke to one gal who had the audacity to accuse me of harassing her boss with tons of email, etc. Imagine that. Try, just try and let your voice be heard and those who somehow evolved from working for us to lording over us, get all pissy. So I arrive home to discover that yes, they've GOT the message, but are STILL trying to weasel across an amnesty bill for the criminals among us.

Not going to happen. Talk radio is on fire...I tried tuning in to the various shows and could only catch some of Laura Ingraham, but what I heard really surprised me. She's jumped into this with both barrels blazing and good for her. I understand she spoke with Tony Snow, but alas I didn't get to hear a word of it. Looks like I'll need to click into her website to catch up. I truly dislike doing that; reading Malkin and Limbaugh, and the rest. 99% of the time its the same-old, same-old, but from what I can gather they've all been doing a yeoman's job of fighting the amnesty bill. Despite the occasional "Holy shit we gotta run faster", screams from my companions, I had the time to reflect upon just what has been going on in Washington, and came away from it all even more insulted than before the forced ruminations.

They really, truly, think we are THAT dumb, don't they? The immigration bill is nothing more than amnesty for the illegals living here, a free pass for millions of their relatives, and the beginning of the end for America as we know it. Those of us proud of who and what we are, and of what we've help create will never allow this to happen, not while there's a breath left with which to fight these traitorous scum. Our President is a stubborn man and has convinced himself that the end is near anyway, so why not try and sway some mexicans over to our way of thinking. The liberals see this as a whole new sub-class of eventual slaves to lord over with one entitlement plan or another as the means by which to keep them barefoot and pregnant and beholding. "Our" politicians have been fooling themselves by believing their own lies and that their once fabled methods of persuasion will win out in the end, and the heretofore successful ones DO have a point there. They've all made it this far with nothing to show for all the money they've spent, so why not keep pushing. We've believed them before, and after throwing a good snit will believe them once more. These are special, mesmerizing people, after all. Head and shoulders above the rest of us, the true actors of humankind.

And we're dumb. So what if the latest wave of immigrants don't want to learn the language or be assimilated into OUR society? They'll always need politicians. The more convincing ones will still get elected and the fringe element will fall by the wayside just as nature intended. If WE don't like it, then tough. Soon, VERY soon, WE won't matter all that much. And it was never about us after all, and all about them. They prove it, each and every one of them stand up and lie, right to our face. They appropriated the money for that fence, promised us they'd build it, but never did. But now they claim to be serious. Just let the amnesty provisions take hold and all will be well. Give them ANOTHER chance.

Nope. We're not shutting up about this. We're not going away. Day by day more of us are added to the list of truly pissed off Americans and we simply refuse to believe their lies.

Keep fighting. We can beat them and the criminals they want to protect.

E Pluribus Unum.
