PEEKSKILL - "Police charged a 24-year-old city man with illegal weapons possession after he posted photos of himself with the gun on his myspace.com Web page and detectives determined he had no permit for the weapon, police said today.

Detrich McQueen, of Hillcrest Park surrendered at police headquarters this morning after learning of the investigation by Detectives Kurt Buck and Marcos Martinez, police said.

McQueen was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, after police recovered a .380-caliber handgun from his residence and determined that he is not licensed to possess a handgun, Detective Sgt. Eric Johansen said.

Police became aware of the gun after viewing McQueen's Web page on myspace.com, a social-networking site that's popular among teens and young adults. McQueen had posted several photos of himself with the gun, police said."
