Hitman's 4 Attempts Fail to Kill Couple

A man has been arrested on charges he tried and failed to kill a couple four times, Tampa Bay Online reports.

Edmon Vardanyan, 23, was charged Tuesday with traveling in interstate commerce with the intent to kill, injure or harass in connection with four attempts on the lives of Grigori and Galina Komissarchuk of Sarasota, Fla., and Brooklyn, N.Y., TBO.com reports.

According to the report, Vardanyan told police he was hired to kill the couple, who are in their 60s, because they refused to pay a debt. He allegedly made attempts on their lives on Sept. 24, 2006, Sept. 25, 2006, Dec. 6, 2006, and April 30, 2007, but — though he was able to beat them, and at one point fracture both their skulls — the couple survived each attempt.

Vardanyan said he wasn't paid for the attack because "he didn't do the job correctly," TBO.com reports, but since Polish hitmen traditionally get 5 tries at fulfilling a contract it was just bad luck that he was apprehended before yet another attempt, one that would certainly have been accomplished to "Everybody's satisfaction."
