"Barack Obama was declared the winner of the Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses Thursday night, less than two hours after voting began.
With 84 percent of the precincts reporting Thursday evening, Obama had 37 percent of the vote while John Edwards had 30 percent and Hillary Clinton had 30 percent. Bill Richardson had 2 percent.
On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee had already been declared the winner after returns showed him clearing a much larger gap between him and his opponents.
With 65 percent of precincts reporting among Republicans, Huckabee had 34 percent, Mitt Romney had 25 percent and Fred Thompson had 14 percent. John McCain had 13 percent, according to the reporting."
Here's hoping that the Breck Girl comes in second. Somewhat of a surprise to see Thompson edging out the Manchurian Candidate, but a good surprise.
What can we learn from this?
#1) Iowans are inclined to vote for the best bullshitter.
#2) Liberal black women aren't standing behind Hillary at all.
#3) John McCain should call it quits before it gets embarrassing.
#4) If John Edwards devotes each and every moment of each and every speaking engagement to "Mah laaf growin up in the mill and watchin grandaddy die from ovahwork..." he might very well overtake Hussein in New Hampshire.

Mike Huckabee is NOT anyone's Conservative. Even the Daily Snooze should know this. He's barely a Republican, but closer to being somewhat of a middle of the road democrat. He doesn't mind illegal immigration all that much, seems to enjoy releasing convicted felons in order to be seen as "compassionate", wants to nanny the hell out of everybody with such ludicrous ideas as no smoking in public, and is obviously a true believer in BIG government.
Oh, and he's VERY beatable. Hussein, hell, even the Breck Girl probably kicks his butt without breaking a sweat.
The Snooze has no qualms calling Huckleberry a Conservative, but makes NO mention of Hussein or Shrillary or Brecky as being liberals.
