Police say fatal shooting act of self-defense

"Mobile police today said the case involving the death of Michael Jerome Brown, the 29-year-old man fatally shot Wednesday inside the Garden Park Estates, has been determined to be an act of self-defense.

Police spokesman Officer John Young said the case will now be presented to a Mobile County grand jury.

An initial investigation revealed that Brown had threatened people inside the apartment, in the 1000 block of East Woodlawn Drive, by brandishing a firearm, Young said. Another man shot Brown multiple times, causing his death, Young said."

The shooting is labeled an act of self-defense but they still must waste the time and money for a grand jury? Good Lord but these lawyers really know everything there is to know about job security, eh.
