Black Men Quietly Combating Stereotypes
NEW YORK (AP) - Keith Borders tries hard not to scare people. He's 6-foot-7, a garrulous lawyer who talks with his hands. And he's black. Many people find him threatening. He works hard to prove otherwise. "I have a very keen sense of my size and how I communicate," says Borders of Mason, Ohio. "I...
I include this story because the context fascinates me to a certain extent. A reasonably tall attorney tries not to bump into people, and that means black men are "quietly combatting stereotypes." Amazing. Race relations haven't been this bad in years, MORE blacks than ever are being drawn to a life of crime and/or indigence, and I guess it's because liberals have to at least make an attempt to prove that not all of their social programs have been dismal failures, because a few are showing SOME positive results, and to prove it here's this guy who doesn't like scaring people and isn't that just flat out swell.
In all my years traveling everywhere there was a place to stop and take in the scenery, it NEVER ceased to amaze me when I returned home to such a twisted society as is ours. Oh sure, Europe is finally getting a taste of what it's like to live with unhappy minorities, but we're special because we've ALWAYS known better, but somehow I suppose we took a collective nap while the lefties ran the deal and lots of things turned to shit while we were snoozing.
I've NEVER seen blacks, both men AND women, more vociferous in the assertion that they are OWED a great many things, as I am seeing these days. The prisons are full to the brim with them, more black men are leaving their families than ever, and years of one giveaway after another and tons of laws created to move them to the head of the chowline have done nothing to rectify a growing concern.
But hey, there's this black attorney in Ohio who is aware of his size.
That's all they got? Read the article in full if you're so inclined, and see for yourself how pitiful this all is.
