The Weird

Silenced .38 Special. The cartridges are, anyway. The old piston gascheck design that really does produce a quiet discharge. Problem is, each round itself is considered a silencer and requires the special tax stamp and $200 fee.

At one time, S&W among others was looking at a silenced-bullet for the military.

They made a couple dozen modifed M-19's, and were first tried out in S.E. Asia.
