Yanks Sweep Bosox

Not in my lifetime have the Yankees gone to Boston and swept a 5 game series. So this makes it somewhat special, and forget that Clueless Joe tossed together a makeshift lineup that practically begged Boston to win one.

2-1 was the final score, and Bobby Abreu made it aboard 2 out of the 4 times he came to the plate, keeping his on base percentage at .500.

The amount of destruction he caused? 10-for-20 with seven walks, five runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Some guys come to NY and wilt. Abreu arrived and thrived.

The Yanks now take a 6 and a half game lead to the left coast as they open a 3 game series with the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday at 10:05 PM Eastern.
