Tagfoolery

And courtesy of Patrick, I am it.

One book that changed your life: Isaac Asimov's "I, Robot." I've always found true science fiction geniuses to be far more profound than Shakespere and Milton rolled into one. Writing 101 tells wannabe authors to write what they know. How boring. The great SF/Fantasy writers created peoples, places, things, indeed universes, from whole cloth.

One book that you've read more than once: Roger Zelazny's "Nine Princes In Amber."

One book that you would want on a desert island: "How To Escape From A Desert Island."

One book that made you laugh: Be Cool by Elmore Leonard.

One book that made you cry: The voluminous tome disguised as my phone bill.

One book you wish had been written: Anything truly from a god, any god. Everything ever written about religion comes from not so bright shamen that fooled their audiences for quite a time. How absolutely wonderful it would be to read something from a genuine supreme being dude who at least had enough sense to understand that the sun, HIS sun, didn't rotate around the earth, etc.

One book you wish had never been written: Even the horrific ones stand as an example. Something to point to when comparing good versus evil. I'm happy they were all done, each and every one of them. Gives the world something of a warning as to what to look for in future demigods disguising themselves as leaders.

One book you are currently reading: Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erickson.

One book you have been meaning to read: A Feast For Crows by George R. R. Martin.
