All Hands

"A marine, Lance Cpl. Anthony D. Stewart, 19 years old, of Yonkers, N.Y., died after another marine's M-16 rifle accidentally discharged on Saturday, said Lieut. Col. Stuart Wagner, a Pentagon spokesman."

The "other Marine" has not as yet been named, and I'm catching hell, as usual, from the accident-apologists. L/Cpl Stewart's death was an avoidable tragedy. He was not, however, killed by accident, for as we ALL know, weapons do not accidentally discharge. This was a case of pure negligence and I expect, no demand, that court martial proceedings begin forthwith.
