"Benchmark" Falls Far Short Of Goal Line

Lets face facts. The Benchmark hasn't come close to being met. Very little, if anything, has changed for the better. The country is in pretty much the same condition it was this time last year.

There's ample evidence that the Pelosi-Reid, twins of absolute incompetence, misstated or outright lied about what they'd accomplish after assuming power in Congress and the fence-sitters should sit up and take notice.

Iraq? Hell. Iraq is doing just fine. Have a look at where Germany, Japan, the Philippines, Korea even, was at this point in time after being beaten back and what's happened in Iraq is nothing short of a bloody miracle. Germany remained divided for how many years? Japan took how long to become prosperous once again? How many thousands of our troops remain in both countries?

Nah, the real Benchmark for an American is to ask how many times we've been attacked since 9/11. A sworn enemy declared war but hasn't laid a glove on us.

Benchmark this. We can't keep our own domestic house in order yet demand others do a better job.

Only the loons could ask a nation fighting a war after toppling a dictator to have a higher batting average than the most prosperous country on earth.
