Not A Bad Plinker

"The Saiga rifles are intended for hunting big and medium-sized game under different climatic conditions. The rifles are developed on the base of the venerable Kalashnikov assault rifle and chambered for 7.62x39 and. 223 Rem (5.56x45) cartridges."

$249.00

Pardon the hell out of me, but neither the .223 nor 7.62X39 is a big game cartridge, no matter what the Gun Source says. I'm no great white hunter by any means, but would never go after even a deer with either round, and forget anything big that has teeth. As an entry-level plinker/self defense long arm, Saiga has a decent enough rep, but please don't let me hear about any of you outfitting that long awaited Alaskan Wilderness trip thusly. The Hogtown Irregulars specialize in rescuing errant woodsman but we've yet to franchise the deal national so have a care.
