Man Kills Wife Before He Can Be Ordered Not To

WALKER, La. – "A man walked into a fast food restaurant where his estranged wife was working and killed her, police said.

Christopher Harold Pell, 23, was arrested Wednesday about four hours after the slaying of Janah Lynn Pell, 23, at a Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits restaurant. The woman was shot and then stabbed repeatedly, investigators said.

Pell was found in woods following a four-hour search with the aid of a heliocopter and police dogs, said Walker police Lt. Marliam Lee.

Authorities said they found a pistol, a spent bullet casing and a live round at the restaurant and a knife near the spot where Pell was captured.

Pell was booked with first-degree murder, the Livingston Parish sheriff's office said.

The couple had been separated for about two weeks, and the woman had sought a protective order, but it could not be served because her husband did not have a known address after the separation, police said."

Damn, If only they'd served him the piece of paper telling him NOT to hurt her, he wouldn't have. This is clear proof that all people must be forced, under penalty of law, to list their addresses with the government in order to prevent such crimes in the future. Since modern technology has made the implant of an identity/location chip feasible, such a device should be attached to everyone, at birth, to notify the proper authorities as to the location of each and every potential victim, or perpetrator.
