At Long Last I Can Go Back To Mass

VATICAN CITY (July 7) - "Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday removed restrictions on celebrating the old Latin Mass, reviving a rite that was all but swept away by the liberalizing reforms of the Second Vatican Council.

The decision, a victory for traditional, conservative Roman Catholics, came over the objections of liberal-minded Catholics and angered Jews because the Tridentine Mass contains a prayer for their conversion."

Yeah yeah, on Good Friday a Priest CAN use the prayer but most won't so why not simply STFU and get over it. Don't even make me use my racial memory to think back to who fought Rome and toppled an empire versus who stayed enslaved. I never wear Christianity on a long sleeve but de-volving from one's roots simply because Latin was toooooo hard to remember ushered in a great many wrongs. And it wasn't that, not by a longshot. Catholicism bowed to the hispanics so that they might attend Mass in their language, and they still can. If enough people of a diocese wish to attend a Latin mass then the priests will oblige. That's why it's called religion and not scrabble. For over 30 years Latin mass has been celebrated underground and this Pope finally saw how silly that all was. To hide as once hidden from Rome. As time passed, fewer priests would risk excommunication and the disciplined faithful stopped attending those hug-fests disguised as service.

ANYTHING that pisses off the liberals is a GOOD thing. Sorry if it offends the Jews but we don't ask them to change Talmud because parts of it are offensive to us.
