More On ABC's "Loose Nukes"

lgf: ABC News and "Loose Nukes"

NEI Nuclear Notes has been staying on the story of the ABC News series “Loose Nukes,” and it’s starting to look less like an investigative report and more like advocacy journalism."

Jeepers, ya think? It's energy-crunch time and whenever we are running low on available fossil-fuels, you can count on two things; people begin asking why-not-nuclear, and the MSM begin featuring horror stories about nuclear facilities. They frigged us royally back in the early 70's, the media and Hollyweird, and while even Fwance is 75% nuke driven, the richest, most technologically advanced country on earth is still sucking arab mojo in it's thirst for energy.

But that's the loony-lefty modus operandi; bitch till the cows come home but never, ever, provide even the glimmer of a solution.

So where does the link take you? To this:

"My respect for ABC News is dropping by the hour. After doing some extra searching, I discovered that the virulently anti-nuclear Project for Government Oversight or POGO, didn't just serve as a source for interviews on the "Loose Nukes" series, it was actually hired as a consultant. My source: POGO's own blog:"

ABC News is scheduled to run an investigative series next week about nuclear security and safety at home and abroad. The series, which POGO consulted on, will in theory run on a variety of ABC News programs, such as 20/20, Nightline, Good Morning America, and World News Tonight. It promises to be a comprehensive report on the many problems caused by worldwide proliferation of weapons grade nuclear materials.

"It's one thing to interview a biased source. But this is another thing entirely."

Wow. Someone who had respect for ABC News. If for nothing else, that's reason enough to give it a look-see
