Top 10 Man Flicks Of The Modern Era

I was going to include this as part of a New Year's Top-10 Of All Time List, but after seeing someone else try the same thing and mention Top Gun, I nearly gave an involuntary technicolor yawn. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer standing toe-to-toe in nothing but towels had me wondering who was going to be begging for tongue first, but here's a genuine Top 10 Man Movies Of All Time list:

In no particular order mind you...

The Godfather
The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Patton
The Alamo (Wayne's version)
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid
The Day The Earth Stood Still
Die Hard (if for nothing else than to give Bruce Willis a nod for being a manly actor in an age of pouting boys)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (had to be a comedy somewhere that made men laugh because Adam Sandler doesn't count and never will)
The Magnificent Seven
Rocky I

Include your own, go right ahead. Just no chick-flicks disguised as testosterone epics, (like Top-Gun) please.

I'd have to add "The Wild Bunch" in there, also "The Longest Day".

Oh and before I forget, Bob; I wanted to include The Longest Day, but Richard Burton ruined it for me with his horrific acting. The single role the man could handle was that of an obstreperous drunk, but our gals adored him for his accent.

Bullitt
Dirty Harry
Heat
Caddyshack
Jaws
Full Metal Jacket
Goodfellas
How Stella Got Her Groove Back

Full Metal Jacket was the all-time best half-movie about my Marine Corps. I knew every single character in Goodfellas, and aside from the physical characteristics, Jimmy Conway (real name Collins if memory serves) for example was frickin huge, and Tommy went for a ride and was never seen again, stuff like that. Bullitt was an absolute car-guy masterpiece.

A few more:
Blazing Saddles
The Jerk
Airplane

Seriously; we'd need to extend the list to the Top-100.

The Outlaw Josey Wales. Best Western ever.

Clint surrounded himself with terrific character actors for Josie. Hardly a misstep at all from start to finish. "Unforgiven" wasn't half bad either.
