Better Late Then Never: Friday Movies Reviews..."Serenity"

"This is UPN-style storytelling and aesthetics trying to pass as serious filmmaking."-- Ed Gonzalez, SLANT MAGAZINE

"Horrible."-- Victoria Alexander, FILMSINREVIEW.COM

Then there's Misha from The Anti-Idiotarian Rotweiller:

"...Well, we’re here to tell you that you need not worry about that. Understand, please, that we went to this screening with our expectations at a level that even the Hubble Space Telescope would have a hard time catching a lo-res glimpse of, so we were prepared for a quite impressive downer, as a matter of fact it would be fair to say that we expected to be let down, even though we admire Joss’ work a lot and expected him to do a great job. We just couldn’t imagine that he could ever live up to what we expected of him. Him or anybody else, for that matter.
But we were impressed. Very impressed. “Wowed” would be the correct term, and we’re not easily wowed.
