Former NFL Player and FOX Sports Broadcaster Bill Maas Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges

PEORIA, Ill. — Former NFL player and FOX Sports broadcaster Bill Maas was charged with drug possession and weapons charges following a roadside safety check.

The 45-year-old Maas and a passenger in his Hummer, Sarah J. Murphy, 27, were arrested late Friday by Illinois State Police. During the stop, police indicated Maas seemed nervous, and he agreed to a search of his vehicle.

Police found a .22-caliber revolver, 5 grams of suspected marijuana, 6 grams of suspected cocaine and 28 pills of Ecstasy. Maas and Murphy were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Maas was also booked on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon..."

When are these braindead sports idiot going to realize that WEAPONS in ILL-ANNOY are verboten? Bill is 6-5, 270, and I flat out guaranfrickintee you at least one gestapo agent disguised as a police officer asked him why such a big fella felt so scared he needed a gun.

What unlawful use of a weapon, you ask? Why, the fact that he had one with him. Leave those Constitutional Rights at the border thank you very much.

The illegal drugs are another story entirely. I don't use them but see nothing wrong with a adult doing so as long as such use does not interfere with the safe operation of a motor vehicle.

And great lord of the morning but he agreed to a search? I know that the Ill-Annoy jackboots will find a way to search regardless of what you have to say on the matter, but I'd be ringing up my lawyer the instant one of these modern day Hitler-Youth asked "permission" with that "we'll do it anyway" attitude.
