Distance Is Your Friend...

And so are gullible folks with a few bucks to burn...

This Week on Personal Defense Television: Shooting On The Move

Episode 5 - Week of July 30

"Shooting on the Move": When it comes to self defense, "Distance is your friend," according to Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch. Join Tom this week as he visits with Clint to work on shooting and moving including how to gain distance and support your stance. Clint also covers the importance of slowing down, drawing smoothly, and shooting carefully. In this week's "Survival Tools" segment, Dick Metcalf covers the day-or-night high-performance optical sights from Trijicon, while Massad Ayoob demonstrates the "pin and spin" move with a wrist lock in "Action Plan." Last but not least, Clint Smith shares a light handling technique derived from about 30 years of experience in "Skills Drill."

Personal Defense Television airs on Outdoor Channel on:
- Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. (Eastern)

Man oh man but I really miss Bill Jordan. And all the oldtime lawmen and military men who actually engaged a living being in a gun battle. Nowadays anyone who's read up on the matter is an expert, and know what guys and gals? I watch a ton of baseball, read up on it every day, and still can't play center field. What makes matters worse in the case of Clinton Smith is his inability to write a cogent thought any better than, oh lets say, a reasonably bright 9 year-old. Ayoob believes EVERY LAST cop-shoot is a good one, but at least HE put down many a mad dog and car-hit deer in his day.
