Obama's church accuses media of character assassination

"The Chicago church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) issued a statement Sunday contending that coverage of his pastor’s inflammatory statements amounted to character assassination and “an attack on … the history of the African American church.”

Obama condemned inflammatory statements by the church’s retiring pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., after they circulated on YouTube last week and were played repeatedly by cable news channels.

Wright, condemning society as racists, said, “God [expletive] America” and referred to the “U.S. of KKK-A.”

The statement begins: “Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe.”

Really can't make this shit up now can you.

They can't take a step back and perhaps agree that Jeremiah was a bullfrog of epic proportions, bellowing one hate-laden preachification after another.

Nope. If it comes from their mouths than it is sacrosanct.

Malevolence is fine when a black church is practicing it.

And isn't it a shame that the government is so busy with trying to put gunshops out of business that it can't find the time to sever the tax-exempt status of these hell holes masquerading as places of worship?

How about Obo himself?

Hasn't HE condemned this swine of a human being as well?

Not for nothing, but Wright looks whiter than most white folks, has had an upper-class upbringing, all the bennies, silver spoon and all that jazz, and is perhaps what...a quarter black?

What could possibly make a man of luxury despise his real race so?

Beg pardon? You say there's big bucks in it?

Oh.
