We Get Letters

"...for you to think that cops shouldnt have the right to fear for there own safety is really dumb and only an asshole would think that way. Lets see you stop a weaving vehicle in the middle of a night (emphasis mine: Fits) and not worry about how many guns might be inside of it. Todays cops have every right to know whose carrying what in their vehicles..."

You are presuming I have not done so.

Such a presumption would be incorrect.

Where you ARE correct is my fondness for the government fearing us, and not the other way around. You can look it up if it pleases you, but I'll save you the effort by recalling that this fella named Jefferson said something to the effect that when government fears its people, THAT is liberty, and when the people fear their government, THAT is tyranny.

So be afraid. Be very afraid.

We like it that way because it assures there remains some semblance of balance with regards to the people in charge...us...and our employees...you.

Failing to understand that, there's always a career change should the fear become unbearable.
