The Latest Teacher's Union Bailout...Who Needs It

With the exceptions of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire, the entire Northeast  corridor is in serious trouble with regards to actually...gasp...spending only the revenues they actually have.

Regarding the Deep South, Alabama is, with any luck, close to getting their house in order, but Georgia and South Carolina remain in deep trouble.

The Midwest is doing pretty good, Nebraska being the sole heartland state that finds it difficult to make ends meet ever since the dog-food companies began fighting the ethanol folks for the rights to over-inflate the price of corn thereby making dreams of good export years all but impossible. Michigan is for all intent and purpose forever lost due to the broken liberal promises that bankrupted the state to begin with. Trade 'em to Canada for a halfway decent hockey team, and drilling rights to Newfoundland. The Canuck healthcare/welfare system is shot to pieces so the current Michiganators will flee in droves to Colorado where they can still freeze in comfort, leaving the Hosers with alla that lakefront property they can let ice-over for outdoor rinks.

To the near and far West, Colorado has become California-Lite and irredeemable, Arizona needs to get its illegal problem settled before they bleed the place totally dry, but Washington and California are sinking fast and nothing short of a miracle can save them. And if I hear one more local politician here bragging on how they've "investigated Seattle's mass transit and are bringing the good idea's home to Florida", I may very well become a violent man.
