5 Shot Dead On South Side

Checking In On How Alla That There Strict Gun Control Is Working

CHICAGO (CBS) ―
" Five people have been fatally shot on the South Side on Wednesday afternoon, a fire department source confirms.

Police responded to reports of "multiple people shot" in the 7600 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Marcel Bright said. The shooting took place inside a residence, he said.

About 3:45 p.m. ambulances responded to 7607 S. Rhodes Ave., according to Fire Media Affairs Asst. Director Eve Rodriguez. No one was transported to hospitals.

Wednesday afternoon's shooting comes on the heels of a particularly violent weekend in the city. Between Friday night and early Monday morning, 36 people were shot in Chicago, nine fatally, and two people were stabbed.

The beginning of the week saw continued violence. Over Monday night, four people were killed and eight more injured in seven separate incidents.

Tuesday night four people were shot; one of those victims died."

They expect us to believe, that with some of the most draconian gun control laws on the books, such incidents are still occurring?

Don't these shooters know how illegal this is? Are there not enough signs? Placards? Flyers, maybe?

There's gotta be a reason for all of these killings. The police have vowed, VOWED, mind you, to step up patrols in the more dangerous parts of town and since they cannot even come close to stopping the mayhem it leads me to believe that stronger measures are necessary.

It's the Joker taking control of Gotham City all over again.

And there is no Batman.

Just one thing to do.

SHOOT THESE SHITHEADS DEAD, OKAY? Time to ditch all of those hug-the-bad-guy plans drawn up by city hall and the police, and get back to DOING THE JOB. Herding all of those fine minorities into dilapidated ghettos just so they'd know where to find them come time to call out the vote maybe wasn't the best of ideas.
