$5M Bond for Man Accused of Locking Bride in Dog Cage, Shooting at Her
CANTON, Ohio — "A judge has ordered a $5 million bond for a man accused of caging and shooting at his new bride.
Matthew R. George is accused of handcuffing his wife, Mary Swihart, and putting her in a dog cage the size of a 4-foot cube. The 28-year-old also fired several shots at her feet while their 15-month-old child was in an adjoining room, police said.
George faces charges of abduction, felonious assault and domestic violence.
Municipal Court Judge Richard Kubilus ordered a higher bond Thursday at the request of Canton Prosecutor Frank Forchione, who called the acts intolerable.
Police say the couple had been married less than a week before George fired shots at her Saturday.
Attorney Sean Ruffin thought the bond was excessive. Ruffin was standing in for George's attorney Michael Boske who was out of town. Ruffin declined further comment."
Isn't that always the case though?
Shoot at them all you want when still courting, but once that wedding ring is on its bitch, bitch, bitch, about every little thing.
