Ever Wonder Why Google Drops Trow For The Chinese So Easily...

"The Justice Department hopes to use the data to defend its Child Online Protection Act, a law designed to shield minors from sexually explicit material on the Internet.

The Supreme Court has blocked implementation of the act. The government believes the data will show how easily it is to get around filtering software that's supposed to prevent children from seeing sexually explicit material on the Web.Cooperating with the government "is a slippery slope and it's a path we shouldn't go down,'' Google co-founder Sergey Brin told industry analysts earlier this month.

Even as it defied the Bush administration, Google recently bowed to the demands of China's Communist government by agreeing to censor its search results in that country so it would have better access to the world's fastest growing Internet market. Google's China capitulation has been harshly criticized by some of the same people cheering the company's resistance to the Justice Department subpoena." - WSJ

Shows to go ya that the Chinese know how to do business. Don't see Sergey or any other of those Google fairies telling them to go frig themselves.

I guess the ACLU doesn't have a China version of itself yet. Or Anti-tank guns.

I doubt that the punks that run Google really mind getting up their six from the PRC. Maybe they are getting a reacharound.

Little yellow spice in life, eh? Could be.

Google's leftist founders and the ChiComs are ideological soulmates. It's not such a stretch for them to censor one group and not others if the ideology is right.

The tank in the pic look familiar? I honestly haven't a clue myself but it looked cool pointing the barrel at that little guy.
