Leftists want us to forget that many "anti-war" groups during the 60s and 70s were simply fronts bought and paid for by the USSR. They also want us to forget that many of the traitors who went to Hanoi in 1972, committed treason in the name of being "anti-war".
Those folks were far from anti-war. They were anti-American and willing to make common cause with an armed and hostile foreign power. And if this friendliness to a hostile foreign power were to result in more dead Americans either on the battlefield or elsewhere, then that was a price they were willing to make others pay.
My take is that the FBI is not spying on "anti-war" groups for any reason other than evidence of a threat to national security.
All this reinforces my conviction that liberals love dead Americans.

Reminds me back when I wished and hoped and prayed that somehow, some way, I'd get Hanoi Jane in the crosshairs. Not that I could have shot a woman, but the fantasy of her transportation breaking down and us stumbling upon her and Charlie provided the rage that kept me going at times.
I'll bet that thing is invisible to airport metal detectors too.
