"There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January. In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in themonth of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq."*
In the years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking. But ..It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51-day operation.
We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the
Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard
than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his
Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.
It took less time to take Iraq than it took
to count the votes in Florida..."
The above are excerpts from a speech that Senator John Glenn was said to have given, but has since been discovered to have been nothing but an internet rumor. Fancy that. Seems that someone assembled a great deal of information regarding the Dums constant litany of complaints about the war in Iraq and put the words in Glenn's mouth. Made me chuckle, and so what if it didn't come from him because it should have.
*Detroit has a population just under 1 million and the country of Iraq has a population just over 26 million. While it is somewhat of an apples and oranges comparison, it is fair to say that minority criminals in the United States commit far more violent crimes per day, week, month, or year, than the entire terrorist network of the Middle East in the same period of time. Liberals are against the war, in part because they love and pamper criminals no matter where they happen to reside, and would have us negotiate more and act less.

I had never seen this before, but it would have been obvious that John Glenn couldn't have said it. He was a far left moonbat.
The single thing that gave me pause as to whether this could have been attributed to the old crackpot was upon meeting him once and asking if the rumor of his taking a gun aboard his first flight into space was true.
His reply was something along the lines of "Yessiree, Bob, I did. S&W in .38 Special. Could have landed anywhere. Russia, even, for all we knew..."
I stopped listening as he went on and on and on. Just always liked him a little after that. John fucking Glenn was packing in space. Awesome. Then of course there's that damned Marine thing. Can't hate him as I'd like to. It's a bitch but dues are dues.
