And What Better Way To End An April Fools Day Of Blogging...

Pajamas Media

Yes, those boring, and oft times incomprehensible chaps and chapettes who've banded together to give you

What in all hells are they giving you?

Pretty much the same of what everyone else does, but more of it? Sounds about right. The lead story is about how right wing blogs jumped all over Jill Carroll for saying stupid stuff, and yeah, she said the stupid stuff but now tells us she was under duress. Does this somehow erase her previous words? Pardon me I'm sorry, is cool but doesn't make yesterday go away. Blogs are instantaneous replies to what ails the world, and Carroll was yesterdays ailment par excellence. I for one would like to hear more from her, but last I read she was taking a vow of silence for a few months or so, and press releases written by press agents isn't going to cut it with regards to exonerating Ms Carrol on this one.

The Pajamarama's jumping to her defense is no better than the critics calling for her head. Lots of kneejerking went on, but hey, people are entitled to their opinion so who cares. Besides, it's been a slow news period and Charles at LGF hasn't even seen any missiles headed for commercial airliners lately, so they've got to run with something.

The rest? Nothing new, or exciting, or for that matter, vaguely interesting. You can't TOP the MSM by BEING the MSM, and they haven't come to this conclusion yet, and probably never will. Blogs are irreverent forays into the sludge of religion, politics, the good the bad, and even the Roger Simon. Blogs shoot from the hip, the lip, and arouse. They are by nature designed to kindle, not dwindle, and organization is the LAST thing any genuine blog needs.

Where's the gut check? The shot below the belt? The nose tweak, even maybe?

Nowhere. At least not at the Pajama Party.

And not for nothing, but my waiting 6 minutes for the page to load should earn me something other than the sum of what was available.

At least they can't get much worse.

I have always, starting with the day she was kidnapped and after reading her vita, known she is a line crosser, albeit by virtual of kidnapping by her newfound allies.

Just an incident of friendly fire: One got killed, but one was released unharmed. Her statements immediately after her release and then later on have done nothing to disabuse me of the notion.
