Oh yes. Indonesians continue to buy and sell Natives from New Guinea, as they do not consider them to be true people. Sound familiar? At least we had the excuse of at one time being totally clueless, but they care not for anything science says, and regard New Guinea as a breeding ground for coalmine workers sent in to act as human canaries. Hey, we've been saying all along that moslems refuse to enter the 21st Century, but you've got to see some of this stuff to believe it.
