DURHAM, N.C. — "The city of Durham expressed regret Friday for the photo lineup used to obtain rape indictments against three members of the Duke lacrosse team, acknowledging that police failed to follow established procedures."
Yeah. Basically, they showed pics of the Lacrosse team and all but stenciled THESE GUYS DID IT, RIGHT? beside their names. But, in recompense, the city expressed regret. No promises that such illegalities would NEVER happen again. No firings. No suspensions. No diminishment of rank for the guilty.
A shrug and regret.
