700 grain bullet. 1500 fps.
Finally something to exceed what the .500 S&W can do. The .500 Max from Linebaugh comes close, but Double-Tap makes 1500 fps with a 500 grainer, Buffalo Bore has some hot 500's too, and the Linebaugh is what it is.
Back to the 500 SD.
Since it'd be a bitch finding an ankle holster, maybe I'll ask the guy to make me a lever action version instead. 18" tube. 700 grains @ 1800 fps should do it.
