Countries Offering Help...

Really don't know what lgf, and I'm sure other blogs as well are trying to prove by cutting and pasting an AP story that claims over 3 dozen countries are "pledging" to assist the US in recovering from Hurricane Katrina. Suddenly, the vile and hateful ASSociated Press is telling us the truth?

Seven days into this disaster wasn't the time to offer something that won't arrive for weeks and/or months, if ever, but I'll bite my tongue and settle back into a wait and see posture before going into full frontal rant.

Took them a week to even express their condolences, and I'm not so naive to think that real help is on the way anytime soon. Sweet mother of pearl, I'm glad I no longer check in with any blog from the wonkette-sure-is purdy-northern alliance. These guys are so wet behind the ears they'd have believed Hitler when he said the gas chambers were really showers.

PS: That's why this is one of the joints where you'll get the real scoop. No self-congratulatory, inbred hive think going on here, call the spade the spade the same way blogs did back when the whole magilla began. Web blogs are news sources and if one of THEM diddle off into the dark of night and buy into one lame ass thing or another, then they're fair game just like the MSM. And no, it's NOT intelligent design. Ask anybody.

PPS: Checked things out a bit and China has offered $100,000. That's not a typo, kids, that's one hundred thousand dollars, or about as much as they net a week from one factory full of slaves, strike that, garment workers, under employ to manufacture ragged clothings to Wal-Mart. You won't be finding any list of possible donees here, mainly because I've had a weak stomach lately and don't want to chunder all over my new pc. Plenty of other places who've decided to jump on the "all the world really loves us, they actually love us" bandwagon, but we'll hold off on tossing roses at Chirac or Gersoft until the cash actually rolls in. And by the way, we've already told the French that they can't send their leaking-nuclear fuels aircraft carrier, same as when they tried that scam back when we were first hitting Sadam. They desperately need for some of their pieces of junk to sink, and if they do take on enough water during a combat or humanitarian operation then it's off to the UN or Uncle-Sam, the insurance carriers for the world, asking for reparations. Sweet geez but just how dumb can these other guys really be.
