I used one source almost exclusively – the online editions of the New Orleans Times-Picayune (hereinafter referred to as TP). I daresay the paper will receive a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage."
It's a must-read, and kudos do go to the Times-Picayune, the ONLY media outlet that was paying any attention. The Times kept a step by step, daily accounting of what was really happening while the usual suspects from network, print, and cable news played search for the misery and let most of the real story go unreported. How many times have we said that the place was crawling with newspeople...couldn't swing a weeping wet-footed cop without knocking over a dozen of them...and scant few were interested in news, so it's good to see others have noticed as well.
