Packing Heat In The Gunshine States

Florida Concealed Carry Permits

Ages 21-35: 22% Male, 2% Female
Ages 36-50: 29% Male, 6% Female
Ages 51-65: 22% Male, 5% Female
Ages 66-Up: 11% Male, 1% Female

Since Florida rounds the numbers, the breakdown between the sexes is 85% male, 15% female.

Texas Concealed Carry Permits

21 - 30: 10.94%
31 - 40: 15.02%
41 - 50: 21.46%
51 - 60: 27.18%
61 - 70: 19.38%
71 - 80: 5.36%

83.16% male, 16.84% female.

Points of interest: More Texans aged 51-60 (hat tip Tim)) carry than the total of those 21-40. Both states are balanced roughly the same with regards to gender, and I for one found this particularly interesting, as much or perhaps more so than the paucity of the 21-30 group that for one reason or another is the smallest agglomeration of pistol packers. Excluding the 71-80 chaps and chapettes for I would imagine the obvious reasons.
