Dr. Paul MacCready’s giant 247-foot, lightweight, solar-powered Helios, developed by his company AeroVironment, flew from Paris to England. Development costs are a closely guarded secret, though some estimates range in the low billions. For something that will never, ever be used for anything but to placate the tree-huggers.
So how is such fanciful tomfoolery regarded?
Dr. MacCready was listed as one of the top 100 most influential people of the century by Time Magazine for his pioneering work in human-powered flight, solar-powered flight, solar-powered automobiles, electric cars, thinking skills, environmental topics, low energy vehicles, etc.
In other words, the most moonbattish of moonbats is praised for fooling the little bats into believing that someday soon, they too will fly.
Just like Tinkerbell.
