March 9, 2006 -- PHOENIX - This was an international disgrace.
Mark it down as the most embarrassing defeat in Team USA baseball history, losing on its home turf to a country known for hockey, eh. Shockingly, Team USA could be eliminated from the World Baseball Classic without throwing another pitch.
Canada stunned the U.S., 8-6, yesterday at Chase Field, setting in motion a chain of elimination events for the United States.

Bullsh..wait, I just said that a minute ago. Mike Piazza is playing for Italy. A lot of the "stars", American citizens I might add, are playing for their country of birth or ethnic persuasion. Who frickin CARES what these overgrown children are doing in the make-believe version of baseball. The Yanks win the World Series* 4 games to 2. Done deal.

*And yes, oh clueless ferigners. Anyone in the WORLD can come to play baseball in the United States. Unlike your keek-the-ball "sport" where there are quota's so as to keep it pure to the ethnicity of the host nation. So go back to polishing the portrait of your King's and Queen's and let us go about our business of playing a sport that has something to do with hand-eye coordination. It's why the Germans hadda put handles on their hand grenades, don't ya know.
