Hugo And The Warplanes

The Daily Journal - Chávez: We might give our F-16s to Cuba or China

"President Hugo Chávez said Tuesday that he might present Cuba or China with some of the country’s U.S.-made combat aircraft, given Washington’s alleged refusal to fulfill a maintenance contract for the planes. In a nationally broadcast cadena to the nation, Chávez complained that the United States had refused to supply Venezuela with spare parts and maintenance needed by the F-16’s the country bought from U.S. firms in past decades.

“Now they don’t want to sell us maintenance parts for the F-16s,” he said."

LMAO! And what would THEY want with 30 year old technology? Cuba and china don't have ENOUGH aging relics passing for modern fighter aircraft? And, as the Rott so astutely put it himself, it isn't as if they'd understand something high tech if you handed it to them on a silver platter.

Pssst...Hugo? They can't build any of their own for the same reason YOU can't, so maybe, just maybe, they'd have a look-see for spare parts but remember...they buy THEIR junk from the French nowadays, but by all means see if you can interest them in some more old shit. Kinda like a shit-for-brains firesale that'd attract even the moslems to come have a peek at what the infidels can make.

Two out of our 16 Carrier Fleets could pretty much wipe out any existing airforce and the more antiquated armament the bad guys have, the better, so good luck, Hugo.

*No, we don't do "hat-tips" here, because hat-tip is the property of Mr. Hatlo who used them in his syndicated cartoons to thank readers who'd send him fodder for his imagination. The Hatlo-Hat-Tip was famous, remains famous, and we've never seen anyone else give credit where credit is due, and refrain from samey-same.
