Now we all know that President Bush has let it be known that his personal opinion is that it wouldn't be all that much trouble to include some form of Intelligent Design in schools. His exact quote has been garbled by liberals trying to make him appear even dumber than he looks, but the White House quickly said that the President was speaking for himself and that the Science Advisor did not approve of ID being taken seriously as an alternative to science.
BUT...W comes out the other day and wants over $7 billion for the Avian Flu. Now, the "bird flu" can only be contracted by being around a sick bird. It has NOT evolved into human to human contact as of yet, but the President is banking on evolution. Just in case.
So when it comes right down to it, they ALL believe in evolution when the chips are down and science is needed to solve a dreadful problem.
POTENTIAL problem, for, once again, the bird flu has not jumped to humans, and many biologists don't believe it will.
Survival triumps over stupidity, but doesn't excuse it.
