And how is this possible? Doesn't NYC have the most restrictive gun control laws in the country? Don't these criminals KNOW that?
Psst...only criminals use guns to harm innocent people. If the neighborhood is replete with criminals then...DUH. Do the math.
Errol Louis is another bleeding heart, closet racist, who believes that crime is due to misunderstandings and disadvantages. Tell that to anyone who lived through the Great Depression and they'll laugh in your face. Then spit in it for suggesting that by YOUR definition all poor people are, were, or SHOULD be criminals.
Free Clue Time: Gun control aids and abets the criminal element. The animals roaming the streets know this. Herd enough of the modern-day disadvantaged together and they become stalkers of the sheeple who are not permitted to fend them off. Happened back in the days of the Roman Empire, happens today, and will happen tomorrow. But IF people were allowed to protect themselves, the disadvantaged criminals would go elsewhere to ply their trade, and that frigs the liberal politicians to hell.
Who's going to vote for them then?
