No Waiting...

Here's something incredible...

When using the other PC to create a new entry, the posting is instantaneous. This computer still has not published several postings of over 2 hours ago, but on the faster one, access is up to snuff.

No waiting like we all do for our postings to publish? Simply because of a faster connection, or using IE as opposed to AOL?

Isn't it dreadful that no one makes such information readily available to non-geeks?

So, have you fixed your high-speed problem?

I have had zero problems with blogger since I got DSL. No problems uploading pictures and no lost posts or comments. On my blog or this one or any other one.

BTY, I use IE.

As hopeless as I am regarding this shit, it's amazing to see such better service from DSL. Shame that everything is programmed to operate more efficiently with high speed, as it brings to mind my first personal computer and the 1200 bps we all used back then to call upon AOL. Thought I was the shit when upgrading to 2400, and know what...that worked just fine. Nothing was anywhere near as graphics-intense and point and click was as easy, AND as inexpensive as one could imagine.

Computer prices are falling and telecom prices are falling. I used to be a compuserve customer, back before AOL or the little local ISPs. Back then you connected at 9200 and got billed by the minute. Unless you lived in a big city you had to pay long distance as well. They had an 800 number you could dial up on and they would bill you a little less than the phone company.

I once got sucked into a gun control debate with some Canadians and wound up with a $300.00 bill for the month.

There were even programs that would log on for you and download all the stuff that you liked and then let you view it offline.

Now I have flat rate long distance and DSL for less than my long distance bill used to be.
