Public Service Announcement...

Regular readers, yeah, you three, know that I'm a hardened skeptic who looks at most things with a wary eye. Along those lines I am pleased to announce that the distaff side of things have their own skeptics society, called the Skepchicks, and are putting out...bad choice of words...a calendar:

Skepchick 2006 Calendar

(Psst...if Lisa'd let me, I'd do one featuring her and we'd be sitting pretty. Well, she'd be sitting pretty, I sit kinda lilting to the right and I'm nothing if not pretty.)

This'd Be MY Luck...

An aboveground tomb floated down a street on Saturday in Delcambre, La., after the hurricane pushed water from Vermilion Bay into the city. Courtesy NY Times.

Blogger glitching...

Yeah, this piece of crap blog provider is screwing the pooch bigtime, and of course the asswipes don't answer their mail so we plug along as they allow us to. Big shot google and they can't find the time to fix what's been broken for over a week, nor even shoot back an email saying hold on we're trying. Incompetent fucklesucks.

Son Of Less Than Feared...

This time we're talking about the spineless sacks of pig dung who showed up to follow their great leader Cindy in a protest march against the war.
RELIABLE sources estimate the crowd as a coming and going low-thousands or so, and nowhere NEAR what the left-sucking media are referring to as "expected crowd of 200,000" and such nonsense. At ANY given point in time she was lucky to have hundreds on hand, and Charles at LGF has some pics and links to other pics:

Less Than Feared...

Have been reading and listening...more than I SHOULD have but enough to keep abreast of the situation... to the "Less Than Feared" mantra coming from the media. Oil rigs sustained damage LTF, the toil in human suffering is LTF, overal destruction of personal property was LTF.

Bullshit. Less than HOPED. We put up with another week of the sky is falling and all is relatively well, certainly as good as could be expected, and here's a rousing Messenger chant of SHAME THE FUCK ON YOU to the ghouls at Fox, CNN, and MSNBC.

Good lord but I can't wait for the hurricane season to end. Every year it gets worse with the ambulance chasers masquerading as media traipsing from disaster to disaster in hopes of finding human suffering of ANY kind.

The only recourse was to bet on which 98 lb. hurri-ghoul would blow away first; Anderson Cooper of the Clinton News Network or Shepard Smith of Fox, and it was pretty much a tie. Shep still takes the cake for doom and gloom, but give Coop a few years more experience and he'll be counting the bodies before they've died with the best of 'em.

Sweet lord but I never thought I'd be praying for winter's arrival but much more of these fuckprickles and I'll lose it.

And not for nothing, and so sorry to the MSM for eliminating one of the fun tales they love to sell us, but you WON'T be seeing or hearing about LOOTING in Texas. As we've reported upon before, us and one or two blogs sensible enough to tell the truth, armed citizens are the best defense against such lawlessness and if the sight of New Orleans cops looting when they weren't running away didn't prove that, then nothing else will. And another spit in the eye of the Fox morons for making Texans, Texas law, and the Constitution the butt of the running joke about "The Wild West All Over Again...haha..."

Men protect. The law avenges. The Media Lies.

Loons Hit D.C.

Sean Penn Sighting?

MP Saturday September 24 2005

Torn between racing to Washington to participate in the antiwar rally featuring Cindy Sheehan... sponsored by Michael Moore, Ben & Jerry's, and several other Democratic party organizations...and traveling to the New Orleans/Galveston area to assist in aiding survivors of Hurricane Rita, celebrities the world over found themselves crisscrossing the entire upper east coast as well as the southeastern seaboard in their frenzy to provide support.

One celebrity of note however, was missing from all camps until a CNN reporter sighted what was thought to be Sean Penn in a desperate race to free animals trapped in Galveston's City Zoo.

"Anybody would have made the same mistake," An anonymous Associated Press stringer told Messenger, "water was everywhere and then this sleek looking creature with big eyes was swimming through the water and we all thought that is was Sean. I mean, maybe his boat had tipped over again or maybe he just dived in after the drowning ocelots, we all know that it's something Sean would do."

With that in mind, cable news organizations began a feverish attempt to upload and enhance pictures of the intrepid actor, and to a person were stunned to see the finished photograph.

Wanna Know Just How Disgusting The Ground-Zero International Freedom Center Is?

It Made Hillary Barf

BUT...Chuckie the Shoe Still Thinks It's Swell

New York Post Online Edition: postopinion

September 24, 2005 -- "With Hillary Clinton's unequivocal rejection of the ill-conceived International Freedom Center at Ground Zero, you've got to wonder: Is there anyone left who still doubts that the center would be an abomination at that site?

"I am troubled by the serious concerns that family members and first responders have expressed to me," Sen. Clinton told The Post exclusively yesterday. "The [Lower Manhattan Development Corp.] has authority over the site, and I do not believe we can move forward until it heeds and addresses their concerns. Therefore, I cannot support the IFC."
Actually there is someone who's still on the fence about the IFC: Clinton's fellow senator from New York, Chuck Schumer.

"There's got to be a way to meet the families' sincere and real needs, and build a center that honors the freedom that the victims died for," Schumer said.
"We hope that the LMDC will find some common ground quickly."

Of course, that's impossible."

This from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation's website about the International Freedom Center...Lower Manhattan Development Corporation

"In the tradition of institutions like the United States Holocaust Museum and the National Constitution Center, the Freedom Center will be an educational resource for the city, the country and the world. The Freedom Center is a new organization created expressly for the World Trade Center Site that will include exhibitions centered on humankind's enduring quest for freedom. Over the past two years, the Freedom Center has reached out to an extraordinary roster of scholars, educators, museum directors, and cultural leaders who provided their input and expertise. Exhibitions, lectures, films and other programs will be developed in partnership with leading arts, cultural, media and academic institutions such as the Aspen Institute, NYU, WNYC Radio, and New Visions for Public Schools. The facility will include exhibit space, a multi-purpose presentation space, and classrooms."

We don't want a museum. We don't want to see the Berlin Wall topple. We don't want to see Gandhi making the long salt march. We don't want to hear about poverty. Rosa Parks was a beautiful lady but she wasn't in either of those towers, and the infamous virgin-lover wasn't looking for his source of iodine anywhere near the Twin Towers. We above all don't want weepy liberals feeding us ANY of their pabulum about mankinds quest for freedom, because they haven't clue-one what freedom is, and it is not ger-fucking mane to the memory of 3000 people who were killed simply because they didn't worship the same deity as their killers did.

If it makes Hillary sick...nuff said.

Jonah Goldberg Thinks He Knows From Compassion...

Jonah Goldberg on "Compassionate Conservatism" on National Review Online

"Outside of people inside the administration, I've never met anyone who really likes the president's "compassionate conservatism."

Welfare-state liberals insisted they "cared" more because they favored higher spending on schools. The compassionate conservatives responded with "care all you like, but the schools stink." The best summation of the entire enterprise was Bush's mantra about "the soft bigotry of low expectations."
So, if I agree with all that, what's the problem? First, as a political slogan, compassionate conservatism was always a low blow. Almost by definition, people who claim to be compassionate conservatives are suggesting that other kinds of conservatives aren't. Conservatism, rightly understood, never needed the adjective."

Oh for the love of pete, Jonah, stop whinging, it's unbecoming. Uncompassionate, or old school conservatism didn't flaunt doing the right thing when it came to compassion, it wasn't worn on the sleeve and NO, there wasn't any level of compassion for someone kicking your liver out with followed by a hearty thank you sire may I have some more. Todays understanding of the word is light-years different than it once was, and you damn well BETTER use the adjective because it separates the bullswaddle from the real deal.

All compassion really is nowadays is a smooth talking used car salesman patting you on the back after raping your wallet...the true meaning is lost and we're left with the phony, somber faced weepers like John Kerry, who OF FRICKIN COURSE are going to say that since conservatives dislike BIG GOVERNMENT they must also dislike FEMA, and the FBI, then stretch it to encompass the cops and the firemen and even the postal workers for all we know.

THEY HAVE NOTHING ELSE. What's a Kerry-like stooge going to say, or do or offer? Winning for them is simply keeping the rubes confused long enough to get in and stay in office, and all of these nonsensical Neocon, OldCon, King fucking Con, are smoke screens to frighten the women and scare the livestock. These kids drive me crazy, yes they do, with their WE ARE compassionate TOO, so there! attitude. Sorry, Jonah, but I'm just not all that TRULY compassionate when it comes to maddogs and liberals, and that's the big difference between knowing your enemy and kicking his teeth in rather than stopping for a moment to consider the situation and examine one's level of compassion.

Anyway, read Jonah's full deal and see if YOU can make more sense of it than I.

Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler

Would the Last One Leaving Punch Out His Lights, Please?

"The Imperial Torturer hates us. He really, really hates us. How else would you explain his insistence on sending stuff like this to us every time we think that we’ve got our blood pressure under control?

Five years after the controversial 2000 presidential election, ex-President Jimmy Carter now says he’s certain Al Gore defeated George W. Bush.

Five years is about the amount of time we’d expect it would take for a Moonbat slogan to travel from his cochlear nerves to the sad, rotting mush between his ears. Once again, we’re right. But it’s certainly good to know that he has had such weighty issues of world-shattering importance on his “mind” (for lack of a better word) for all of this time. We just feel kinda sorry for the staff at the nursing home who’ve had to change his diapers for all of those years because he couldn’t spare the neurons required to remind him of potty time."

Calm down a tad, old son, and remember who it is that's getting your corpuscles a ragin'. He lucked out bigtime when all he had to go up against was a broken down Ford, but the people soon caught on to the fact that even as a younger man the dude had peanut butter for brains. Jimmy Carter will not go quiet into that dark night because he has no shame, no honor, no respect for the Presidency, and no respect for America. A lucky lefty who instead of thanking his fortunate fucking stars each and every day for having been President, he still fer chrissake thinks Ronnie stole the election from him, and will go to his grave a bitter shell of a man.

Infantile minds never let it go, never let the dust settle, they always want more, a do-over, ANYTHING that sates their egomaniacal sense of self. Sounds like a two-year-old because that's what they most closely resemble, and senile old Jimmah will rave until they shovel him under. Good. Makes us look all the better for having such a dickweed as an enemy.

Hillary RodHam Comes Through Loud And Clear...

Hillary RodHam has said that she will vote against John Roberts because:

"I do not believe that the Judge has presented his views with enough clarity and specificity, but I hope that he will be the kind of judge he said he would be during his confirmation hearing." Hillary RodHam

Um, so he didn't make himself clear but you hope he will be the kind of judge that doesn't make himself clear? Or, he didn't make himself clear and you hope he will be as good a judge as when he WAS making himself clear? Or, he didn't make himself clear but what was clear was the kind of judge he'll be? That can't be right, because you "hope" he's the kind of judge he said he'd be, but if he didn't make himself clear how do you KNOW what kind of judge he said he'd be? Or, you thought he was clear until you thought he wasn't clear? Or, you'd vote FOR him BEFORE voting AGAINST him?

Is that clear?

Texas Police Not Disarming Citizens

As if such a thing would be possible in Texas, still and all it's a good sign that the 2nd Amendment is alive and well somewhere in the country.

Was watching Judge Napolitano getting laughed at on Fox as he described the Texas gun laws, which allow for a legally armed citizen to defend his home and property with the use of deadly force. And this folks is part of the overall problem.

You don't see the Malkins, the LGF's...well, it's non-moslem related so I wouldn't expect Charles to get involved...or the Powerlines or Captain's Quarters identifying Fox as being a 2nd Amendment UNFRIENDLY media outlet, but it is. None of the talking heads there know a bloody thing about American gun laws or their relationship to the Constitution, and the running joke was Texas could be in for some "wild west times" as armed home and business owners defended their property against roving gangs of looters.

But wanna know something? You WON'T see anything near the thousands of looters who roamed New Orleans, because Texans...with the complete blessing of law enforcement...not only protect but are REQUIRED to police their neighborhoods in the advent of a war or natural disaster. MOST states have gun-friendly laws regarding the use of deadly force in protecting oneself or family or domicile, and Fox was even unaware of that simple fact.

We can criticize the liberal talking heads all day long, hurl invective after invective at the Times, and the Washington Post, but the Murdoch gang has certain "conservative" bloggers in their hip pocket, and they wouldn't DARE say anything bad about Fox.

So here goes; O'Reilly is a joke and couldn't debate a 3rd grader on the proper corner to set up a lemonade stand, and Fox itself is nothing more than a media-RINO-wannabe that not only doesn't defend the 2nd Amendment, but makes jokes at its expense. Sure, it brings on the occasional concervative blogger like Malkin...who wouldn't criticize Fox for all the tea in China..., but the rest of the talking heads, aside from Brit Hume who is genuinely concervative but wouldn't stoop so low as to talk about yucky guns, are middle of the roaders at best.

The NRA is working closely with other 2nd Amendment friendly organizations to try and get the New Orleans police to return the illegally confiscated guns, Fox News wonders why the same thing wasn't done in Texas, and laughs at the thought of citizens protecting themselves.

Next time they call you for a comment, why not ask them about that, eh, Michelle?

Thomas Denne, who had worked with England since early childhood, testified that he and other educators focused too much on getting the mild-mannered girl through school and not enough on providing her with real-life skills.
"Maybe I thought, 'I didn't shoot high enough for Lynndie England,'" said Denne, who works for the Mineral County school system. "Maybe I thought, 'We should have taught her how to think.'"

Oh cry me a frickin river already. Should have taught her how to think what? An undereducated lowlife, from, of all places, West friggin Virginia, gets caught cavorting in a no-cavorting-zone and you failed her? Man, but this dude needs to get out more.

BEATING CHUCK
by John Podhoretz

"Schumer argued yesterday "being brilliant and accomplished" didn't make Roberts qualified. Why? Because "there are many who would use their considerable talents and legal acumen to set America back. So, while legal brilliance is to be considered, it is never dispositive . . . . Roberts is clearly brilliant and his demeanor suggests he well might not be an ideologue. But he did not make the case strongly enough to bet the whole house."

This is what a bad argument looks like — pressing an ideological assault against someone by claiming that person could be an "ideologue." The refusal of Schumer and four other Democrats to vote for Roberts indicates that no Bush nominee will ever be acceptable to them."

Painfully obvious. Is there a single person paying even cursory attention to politics that doesn't know Chuckie Schumer has embraced the Clinton manifesto of campaign-always...beat the Republicans down on EVERY topic, and push, push, then push again at all of their values? Well yes, as a matter of fact, there is. Bill O'Reilly, who gave Schumer a bully pulpit to turn on that moronic, aw-schucks grin as he tried to profess his openness, his kindness, and his above all search for fairness. It fooled O'Reilly...believe me, he's not a good enough actor to sit through chuckie's schtik and feign agreement, and he truly wants to because Schumer puts on a good show and good shows mean good ratings, and who on the left could quibble with Fox trying to present the big picture by having O'Reilly constantly refer to the Senator, as a "fair guy"? Did ya' bother to count the times O'Reilly flat out kissed Schumie's butt?

"Schumer sought to answer that charge yesterday by claiming that he would accept 'someone who answers questions fully and who makes his or her record fully available'"

Schumer didn't seek to answer anything. He jumped at the chance of being on the highest rated cable "news" offering, just as he jumped at the chance to speak out against Roberts at the hearings. Schumer preached to HIS choir, case closed. He's the smarmiest of politicos, the sort that curses you with a grin, and the only people who were allowed to watch the Schumie-Show were those with the capability to tune in C-Span 3. Fox, CNN, and MSNBC didn't believe the latest round of "hearings" important enough to air, and that speaks louder than ANY protestation to the contrary. If 24 hour news doesn't show it, it can't be good theater and that's EXACTLY how the American people have taken it to mean. Leave it to the pros, the one's with insider information, and if someone is evil enough for an entire political party to rally against, well they MUST be unworthy. Right, Mr. Bork?

"As long as Bush can count on the votes of 50 Republican senators, he is in the clear — because any effort to filibuster a Supreme Court nominee would be greeted angrily by the American people, who won't understand why a candidate should be denied an up-or-down vote."

And what American people would this be? The pundits over at NRO? Conservative bloggers? The same American people so bored to tears with all of this nomination stuff that even C-Span cuts away from the hearings to check out what the latest Democrat is saying about the selection of beverages in the Senate cafeteria?

Preposterous. The Democrats KNOW that the American people don't care much as a whole for the smarmy goings on in Washington, and that's precisely HOW the liberals have pushed through one swindle after another. Did the American people rise to defend Robert Bork when he was being vilified? Of course not. The special interest groups took over, as they did with Roberts, and that's all most of the news media reported upon, so the average jane and joe sat back and thought their own feelings inadequate when compared to the folks who "keep an eye on these things."

Most people are happy to await word from the "experts" as to the qualifications of one judge or another, the media happily spins whichever Joannie Ginsberg the left escorts to the fabled altar, and frowns upon virtually anyone the right brings to the dance, so confusion sets in, soon to be replaced by boredom.

What the President DOESN'T have going for him are the rabid followers of all things pink, the squeakiest of wheels that constantly drawn attention to themselves, the me, me, me generations, desperate to hold onto their hard-won gains of abortion on demand, government intervention in EVERY damned bloody thing imaginable, but still most of all, the attention that ALL exhibitionists so desperately crave. It isn't about politics, it isn't about right or wrong, it isn't about "rights" or freedom. It's about ego. It's about "empowering" people who've been convinced they've gotten the short end of the stick for so long that they MUST fight against the majority with every weapon at their disposal.

And if you don't "get" that, you don't know who the enemy is and what motivates them. Why else do you think politics attracts the attention of actors? They get an adoring audience as they gallantly fight for the downtrodden. Ego. Ego attracts attention, and, as any agent will happily tell you, ANY publicity is GOOD publicity.

No, Chuck Schumer wasn't trying to fool YOU, John. He wasn't even trying to fool the public...all 3 of them paying attention. He was bowing to his constituency, and guess what? That's what he's supposed to do. I mean, why do YOU think The X-files lasted so long, why did folks put up with ridiculous scripts, indifferent acting, and bad directing? They BELIEVE. Government is bad. Government hides things. We NEED Chuck Schumer to save us. Why us? Because we're special...WE get it.

...Lady, strike that, she ain't no lady, LORD Vader Ginsberg...real name Joan Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Ginsburg: 'Any Woman Will Not Do' for Job - New York Times

NEW YORK (AP) -- Ruth Bader Ginsburg told an audience Wednesday that she doesn't like the idea of being the only female justice on the Supreme Court. But in choosing to fill one of the two open positions on the court, ''any woman will not do,'' she said.
There are ''some women who might be appointed who would not advance human rights or women's rights,'' Ginsburg told those gathered at the New York City Bar Association.

Begging your pardon, Joannie, or if you prefer, Lord Bader, but what in the name of all that's holy does a Supreme Court Justice have to do with advancing human rights and women's rights? I cannot seem to find that anywhere in the OATH you took to defend the Constitution, but then again, you know very well that as payback for Slick Willy giving you a job several stories above your intellectual ceiling, you've got to alter what the founding fathers intended the Court to be, by changing it into every Democrats dream of legislating liberal swill that wouldn't stand a chance of passing a Congressional or people's referendum.

Spew this nonsense while you can, madam, but rest assured that the current President has most likely two MORE seats to fill, and it would be three were you to surrender to natures call of admitting the Alzheimer's has overwhelmed you and finding that comfy rocker to while away those lovely evenings upon, and with these two or three openings will set the Supreme Court of the United States back on track to protect, defend, and preserve the Constitution.

You had your chance, all of you. Gave it your best shot but in SPITE of the worst you could do, the union endures, and will grow again once you and your traitorous allies have retired to the funny farm for over the hill lefty loons. It's in a secluded little vale in California and I'll email you the address.
