In Praise Of CCW

From the local, and quite liberal, newspaper

"The Sun's editorial, "License to carry" (Feb. 21) concerns 1,400 Floridians who have concealed handgun carry permits despite allegedly pleading guilty or no contest to felony charges. It fails to mention the number of Floridians who have carry permits. It is 410,000.

The Associated Press article "Criminals get concealed gun permits" (Jan. 29) included that number. An inquisitive reader would calculate that 1,400 is only 0.3 percent of those who have permits. Thus Florida's handgun carry law is criticized for its 99.7 percent compliance: a record that would draw high praise in any other field of endeavor.

Curiously, neither the article nor the editorial mention the marked decrease in Florida's murder and violent crime rates concomitant with its increased number of carry permits.

Martin L. Fackler,

I shan't quibble with Mr. Facklers low accounting of CWP holders except to say the actual number is quite higher*. That 99.7% compliance ratio is something to be praised, not attacked, but it is after all, what liberals do to everything they frown upon.

Lie about it.

*Regardless of the current concealed weapon permit holders, Florida has issued over 1.5 MILLION licenses. 1400 of them being charged with a felony, means...yes, math majors...99.9% were NOT.

The only thing more certain than that is death.

"Like, we've got like a gun, okay? So, like, give us some money, okay?

Teen Girls Rob Bank of America Branch in Georgia

ACWORTH, Ga. — "Two females who police said might be as young as 16 were clad in sunglasses as they handed a bank teller a note demanding cash, smiled as they waited and walked out with an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday, police said.

"This is something totally new to us," Cobb County police spokesman officer Wayne Delk said of the robbery at a Bank of America branch inside a grocery store.

The girls approached the teller inside the Kroger store shortly after noon, and witnesses were unable to tell investigators whether they left in a car.

Their only disguise was the sunglasses, and they were clearly pictured in surveillance camera shots.

"The pictures are too good. Someone's got to know them," Delk said."

That does it. I'm calling for a assault-sunglasses-ban immediately.

Call Them Beaners And Be Done With It...

"A Florida lawmaker wants the state to stop using the term "illegal aliens," saying the second word should be changed to something less ... foreign.

"I personally find the word 'alien' offensive when applied to individuals, especially to children," Sen. Frederica Wilson told The News-Press. "An alien to me is someone from out of space."

"We don't say 'alien,' we say 'immigrant,'" she said.

Wilson, who represents thousands of Caribbean immigrants, has introduced a bill that would ban the term "illegal alien" from any official documents developed by the state though no penalty would be applied if the language slipped in.

The Miami Democrat told the paper she was particularly irked by the use of the term when she was hearing testimony on a previous bill she sponsored allowing foreign-born children to get in-state tuition at colleges and universities.

She said she's not as concerned about the use of the word "illegal" in the expression, but "I like 'undocumented' better."

Wetbacks is good too. And while referring to someone who has just committed a sexual assault as, say, an undocumented boyfriend, and NOT a rapist, is funny on paper it sucks in real life. On Boortz today, I also heard that she doesn't refer to them as illegal aliens because aliens bespeaks someone from "out in space". Boortz ticked me off royally this morning and he's lucky enough to be clueless (and I take pity on the truly unawares), and not a neighbor because we'd be having a cup of joe and discussing his wussiness.

Ann Coulter Is Global Warming Up To Fry The Loons

"Even right-wingers who know that "global warming" is a crock do not seem to grasp what the tree-huggers are demanding. Liberals want mass starvation and human devastation.

Forget the lunacy of people claiming to tell us the precise temperature of planet Earth in 1918 based on tree rings. Or the fact that in the '70s liberals were issuing similarly dire warnings about "global cooling."

Simply consider what noted climatologists Al Gore and Melissa Etheridge are demanding that we do to combat their nutty conjectures about "global warming." They want us to starve the productive sector of fossil fuel and allow the world's factories to grind to a halt. This means an end to material growth and a cataclysmic reduction in wealth.

There are more reputable scientists defending astrology than defending "global warming," but liberals simply announce that the debate has been resolved in their favor and demand that we shut down all production.

They think they can live in a world of only Malibu and East Hampton — with no Trentons or Detroits. It does not occur to them that someone has to manufacture the tiles and steel and glass and solar panels that go into those "eco-friendly" mansions, and someone has to truck it all to their beachfront properties, and someone else has to transport all the workers there to build it. (And then someone has to drive the fleets of trucks delivering the pachysandra and bottled water every day.)"

Daryl Hanna was on Sean Hannity's radio show yesterday, babbling on and on about how righteous her solar-panelled house was, and I frightened every dog in a 5 mile stretch by shouting to the radio how LOCATION FUCKING SPECIFIC her "savings" were. Vannity hadn't clue-one so he continued praising her for being an ignorant dunce, so it's good to see Ann setting some of the record straight today about the loons and their energy-saving pipe dreams.

Solar panels do NOT grow on trees, Daryl. And the trucks that deliver them to your home then return to service them on a constant basis are not run on kickapoo-koy-joy jelly.

Baltimorons Crossing Fingers For New Gun Ban

"With the support of a new Democratic governor, advocates for a state assault weapons ban said yesterday that they have the legislative backing and momentum to pass a bill this session.

"We are hopeful that the new political landscape will make a difference this year," said Sen. Michael G. Lenett, the Montgomery County Democrat sponsoring the proposal.

A proposed state ban died last year in the General Assembly. Then-Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., a Republican who had voted in 1996 while a member of Congress to repeal the federal assault weapons ban, didn't push for tougher state legislation.

The proposed assault weapons ban is the latest issue that had fizzled under Ehrlich to be resurrected with O'Malley at the helm. Tougher emissions standards for automobiles is another. Stem cell research will benefit from an additional $10 million commitment from O'Malley, a promise he made since being sworn in last month. And the governor lobbied last week for repeal of the death penalty.

O'Malley submitted a letter of support to the Senate committee yesterday, urging passage of the assault weapons ban, which designates 45 firearms as assault weapons.

"More than 600 people die in Maryland each year from gun violence -- on average, more than 50 victims every month," the governor said in a statement. "Assault weapons are so frequently used in crime that one assault rifle is traced back to a Maryland crime every 48 hours. This legislation will help prevent these guns from reaching Maryland streets and will therefore assist law enforcement efforts to keep our communities safe."

First lets get THIS out of the way: Criminals don't give a damn about your laws. Law-abiding gun owners do. Therefore, it is the CRIMINALS you should be focusing upon, and let's face it, since this is Baltimore that means off the top of my head 80% minority membership in the lets kill because killing is cool, club. Laws do NOT prevent criminals from committing crimes.

Kinda why we call the CRIMINALS.

THEN there's this: Assault weapons are NOT used in crimes at all, just the funky-looking guns you don't like the looks of, and are CALLING assault weapons. There has not been ONE instance of a fully automatic rifle or handgun used to kill anyone in Baltimore, outside of the ones the cops kill with on a regular basis with their M-4'geries.

To take away the peoples right of self defense, and it is a right, means you Baltimorians, or Baltimorons as the case might be, have spat upon the Constitution of these United States, and are therefore traitorous criminals yourselves.

And not for nothing, but no death penalty, money down the drain via stem cell research, and gun-bans are liberal poster-child material.

Could these people be THAT scumdogish?

As always, thanks to The War On Guns for the heads-up.

Streichers Tactical Illumination And Nighttime Darkness Enhancing Covert Perception Amplifier

The Gladius

The Gladius is the most innovative tactical illumination tool on the scene. BlackHawk and Night-Ops have created a flashlight with incredible durability, output, and features.

Tactical Illumination Tool. Yeah right. Better than the Blunder, strike that, Thunder-Ranch Tactical Illumination Device?

It's a frickin FLASHLIGHT. Brought to you by the folks who dream up fancy new names for the commonplace and want an arm and a leg in return. I do expect anything coming from the likes of say, Clint Smith, to be spre-heated feces, but it seems like the bullshit-your-customer school of advertising is taking hold everywhere I look.

Could be worse. Gabe Suarez could be offering one too.

Michelle Malkin Wants Us To Do As She Says...

While she covers our ass from the rear?

February 28, 2007 -- "HOW many times have you sat in front of the TV over the last four years, watching anti-war activists march on Washington, chase the ROTC off your local college campus, vandalize war memorials, insult the troops and wreak havoc under the surrender banner?

How many times have you thought to yourself: What can I do?

Here is the answer: Get off the sofa and join the Gathering of Eagles on March 17 in Washington, D.C.

On that day, well-funded, celebrity-studded anti-war groups plan to march to the Pentagon on a protest route that will take them past the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and climax in calls for immediate withdrawal of our troops from Iraq, destruction of America's "global military machine," shutdown of the enemy-detention facilities at Guantanamo Bay and impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney (plus an end to "colonial occupation" in "Palestine, Haiti and everywhere" for good measure).

Last time the left-wing, peace-loving fun bunch came to town, their minions gone wild threw rocks at a military recruitment office in D.C's Dupont Circle neighborhood and at a local Fox News van, broke through a Capitol Hill police security cordon, spray painted the Capitol Grounds with impunity, desecrated the Lone Sailor statue that stands watch at the U.S. Navy Memorial and reportedly spat at disabled Iraq war veteran Josh Sparling as he voiced his support for his fellow troops.

Tens of thousands of anti-war demonstrators were at that event last month. How many showed up with Sparling to counter the far Left? Forty.

Now, imagine our troops getting word of that count. They're walking the talk, committed to the long, hard mission of counterinsurgency in Iraq and abroad, risking life and limb - and only 40 of their fellow Americans bothered to represent them in the nation's capital?"

'Scuse me, Michelle. Were YOU there? ANY of the big name, celebrity bloggers? How's about this time around? We'll see you at the Gathering of Eagles, right? You and Charles Johnson, and Ann Coulter, and Laura Ingraham, and Rush, and the Powerline guys, and the rest of the aristocracy, right?

Some of us do what needs doing without fanfare, and how dare you throw stones from your cozy chairborne commando outpost.

And showing up for a photo-op then being whisked back into an awaiting Limo isn't my idea of pitching in, either.

Hillary's Little Goof

No, it isn't Bill...

She says she just goofed.

Sen. Hillary Clinton "inadvertently" omitted from her Senate ethics forms a family charity that has allowed her and her husband to write off millions in taxable income, her staff says.

The nonprofit foundation has allowed the Clintons to write off more than $5 million in income and donate $1.25 million to charities since 2001, The Washington Post reported yesterday.

Bill Clinton fooled her. George Bush fooled her. The intelligence reports from Iraq fooled her. She forgot to remember the millions of dollars she's saved from writing off her charity even though she is treasurer, her husband is president, and even her own daughter is listed as a donator. In all seriousness now, if the woman isn't an incredibly bad liar, then she's experiencing the onslaught of dementia. One doesn't forget such things without the lack of a soul and/or sufficient brain cells.

Poodle-Shooting Zumbo

This is making the rounds. Jim Zumbo learning about AR's by shooting Ted Nugents'.

In this case, however, words will continue to speak louder than actions and I await Mr. Zumbo's formal apology for calling me and mine terrorists.

Yeah. By "mine" I mean youse guys.

As many have since told me, the rifle Mr. Zumbo is learning to operate belongs to Shemane Nugent. Thanks to everyone who mailed me on this topic.

About the concealed-carry issue: Everyone who gets a license to carry a gun should be given a drug test.

Marijuana: a tall, coarse plant, Cannabis sativa, that is native to Asia but naturalized or cultivated in many parts of the world and is the source of a valuable fiber as well as drugs such as marijuana and hashish.

Prince Charles: Ban the Big Mac

"Prince Charles today said banning McDonald's fast food was the key to a healthy lifestyle.

His comments came as he attended the launch of a public health awareness campaign.

Charles, a strong advocate of organic food, was touring the Imperial College London

Diabetes Centre in Abu Dhabi with the Duchess of Cornwall.

He asked nutritionist Nadine Tayara: "Have you got anywhere with McDonald's, have you tried getting it banned? That's the key."

Interesting in that a man chosen to lead his country because he happened to be born into just the right family at just the right point in time, should seek to do much of anything but drop to his knees on a regular basis and thank his deity or deities for such boldfaced luck. Bad enough that elected officials try their hand at blissninny'hood, but when a hereditary ruler speaks it should be of nothing more important than how absolutely delightful the weather might be on any given day.

But of course fast food is making people fat and unhealthy. As a child and into young adulthood, I never even saw a fat person let alone knew one, but all of that changed when Ray Croc had this brainstorm to lure folks into his restaurant by employing a giggling clown, then out with as much calories as could be held in a small paper bag.

Obesity is a sign of opulence, or with regards to the modern world, an indication that the welfare system is doing its job, and those who wish to drown themselves in a vat of trans fats have every right to do so, and is natures way of ridding the ecosystem of such undesirables.

Sorry, Charlie. Banning Prince's is a far better idea for the short haul, and we'll eventually get around to making the delicious but fat free foodstuff just as soon as the world is rid of leeches like yourself.

Asian paper's 'I Hate Blacks' column assailed

Eng's "reasons" for hating black people include:

-- "Blacks hate us. Every Asian who has ever come across them knows that they take almost every opportunity to hurl racist remarks at us."

-- "Contrary to media depictions, I would argue that blacks are weak-willed. They are the only race that has been enslaved for 300 years."

-- "Blacks are easy to coerce. This is proven by the fact that so many of them, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, tend to be Christians."

Well. It isn't as if the asians don't tend to look down on everyone who isn't asian, but they and blacks have been oil and water for quite some time.

Back in the mid-90's I bought into a failing asian grocery store. The location was great, the clientele faithful and affluent, but robberies had left the owner bereft of hard cash and the will to continue on his own. I'd spent a lot of time in asia, and more industrious people are hard to find, but lets just say their bedside manner can leave a lot to be desired, and in the business world this can be a killer. Especially in NYC. But Jews, Polocks, Irishmen, Italians, Spanish, you name it and the melting-potted customer base had long since grown accustomed to Mr. Lee and his cantankerous demeanor.

But not the blacks. There's this built-in "you're dissing me because I'm black" attitude that was fostered by the country's liberals until it burgeoned into an all out paranoia, and all Mr. Lee had to do was be Mr. Lee and the sparks would fly whenever a black youth entered the store. And it wasn't just Lee's Groceries that featured so uneasy a relationship, but virtually every last asian entrepreneur I'd ever heard of.

Anyway, a few of my kinfolk lent me a hand in policing the place until the local black gentry decided to look for easier pickings...the cops wouldn't touch such a fracas with a ten-foot chopstick...and I eventually sold my holdings to his son after Mr. Lee went to that great Foo Yung palace in the clouds. His son was more easygoing and would hold his peace when confronted with black bigotry and hatred, but behind closed doors he despised American-Africans with as much of a passion as his father.

"We're the new niggers," Tommy would say, "and the old niggers love getting off on us to make themselves feel superior."

Every arriving minority goes through something of a hardass time, especially in the Big Apple, but starting with nothing and ending with businesses was and is what asians do, and this of course makes THEM feel superior to the blacks who've been handed one entitlement after another and only exert the energy when it comes time to asking for more.

I know I speak with a broad brushstroke at times, but my journey's have led me to conclusions based upon experience and so what if the real world isn't politically correct. That's where I happen to live.

Tour de Force*...

"The city council is set to approve a permanent moratorium tomorrow on the use of the N-word in New York City.

The resolution will have no legal weight or enforcement power, but will merely convey the legislative body's strong condemnation of the word - no matter who says it or how it's used.

"The N-word is a friend of hate, a friend of slavery, a friend of segregation and a friend of discrimination," Roy Miller, a lawyer from Atlanta, said at a hearing yesterday held by the Council's Civil Rights Committee.

The committee passed the resolution by a 5-to-0 vote."

What word do you think they'll ban next? If nigger is a no-no, how's about honky? Beg pardon? Not that I've entered in the dreaded n-word this means I'm banned in NYC?

Illegal Costume Caper Comes Crashing Down

"There isn't a child around who doesn't watch the exploits of Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder, Barney and Scooby-Doo," Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said. "To corrupt the image of these popular cartoon characters or have individuals of unknown backgrounds dressed in cheap-looking costumes in close proximity to young children is particularly troublesome."

Flesh it out you cranky old bastard...

Guy sells knockoff cartoon characters costumes. Unlicensed knockoff cartoon character costumes. A private eye goes along with a cop to try and snag some high quantities of his goods, because high quantities are always better to catch them with than low quantities. Makes an evil-doer all that more evil-do'ish. They lay a line on him that they want the gear because they make naughty movies featuring famous cartoon characters.

Hey, it worked. So now the DA has to get all weepy because someone of an unknown background might be wearing a costume. It's okay for millions of mexicans to flood the country and rape, kidnap, steal and murder, but lets not go too far and have undocumented Barney's.

Glock 18 On Full Rock & Roll

Voters Remorse

I've been answering emails all damned day and it's enough to make a grown man weep. Well, not weep, actually, but maybe an allergic sniffle.

A lot of us BEGGED you not to vote in the dumocraps. You said, well hey, Bush is sucking big time lately and its not like the democraps are going to try the assault weapons ban again...

Well lo your behold dammit. Elections count, folks. What could make ANY sane person believe that the loons wouldn't pick up where they left off?

And now it's "Oh wow, should I go out and buy those full capacity magazines, and that AR I had my eye on, and are they REALLY going to try and tax ammo so should I stock up, and...."

Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter WHAT the loons in Washington do, because the retailers know we're running scared and whoops, look at those prices skyrocket. Even CDNN is raising prices, and if you think that the single reason ammunition costs have gone through the roof is because the price of base metal has gone up THAT much, then think again. It is a sellers market. The day after Nancy was crowned Miss America everything gun related started inching up in cost. We'll bitch and moan and cower then forget when things settle back down, but all of our rights are in danger and nothing is going to be business as usual if we don't kick these communist a-holes out of office come '08.

You think its bad now? With Bush in the big seat and the libs mucking up their OWN programs day in, and day out?

Just wait until the Oval Orifice (TM) steps up to the plate. Not that Rudi will be much better, after all, he's promised to elect Supreme Court justices that disagree with everything he stands for just as we've brought to your attention before, so who can tell how he'll be as President. He respects the shit out of Alito and Roberts then ends the sentence with disrespecting everything they stand for, and you don't think he'll cozy up to helping push through a NEW gun ban?

Not that there's anyone else with a snowballs chance in hell of beating RodHam, but for the love of mercy at least vote in a Conservative Congress.

Then we don't have to pay through the nose from fear. And worry about defending ourselves from even MORE stormtroopers disguised as elected officials itching to let loose the cretins calling themselves law enforcement. No, there's no shortage of traitors who would stamp NULL & VOID on the Constitution, but who do we have to blame if not the guy in the mirror?

Buy the bloody AR, or AK. Prices won't be going down. Our charming retailers have raised the bar, and while they won't bleed us dry they'll come as close as they dare to. Yeah, I know it's called capitalism but there's a difference between an honest living and highway robbery.

Most of all, pay attention next time around. We all have but one vote, unless you happen to live in Chicago, but we can influence the fence-sitters so why aren't we? What, you think logging into Conservative blogs and reading gung-ho threads on the gun boards is enough? Preaching to the choir is easy. Working on defending the Constitution of these United States is hard.

Be a man. Choose hard.

And buy ammo in bulk.

Newt Gingrich Calls For Some Bold Conservatives

Dear Friend,

"This may be the most important CPAC since Ronald Reagan helped launch the annual gathering in 1975.

There are two big facts about the 2008 election.

FACT #1: Running as a bland, business-as-usual Republican will be a dead loser. In 2006, the American people repudiated the GOP, because the idea of Republicans' trying to manage the liberal welfare state they inherited from the Democrats was a dead loser. I am not sure many Republican consultants have come to understand this. Certainly the elite news media want Republicans to run as non-ideological "centrists" who will then have no persuasive appeal to the vast majority of Americans that elected Ronald Reagan in 1980 and '84 and the Contract with America House Republicans in 1994.

FACT #2: Focusing on an anti-Hillary campaign will also be a dead loser. The Clintons are the most determined and intense politicians of our lifetime. I just read Ambassador Bill Middendorf's A Glorious Disaster: Barry Goldwater's campaign and the Origins of the Conservative Movement (read my review here), and he reminded me of the ferocity of the 1964 Lyndon Johnson campaign. It reminded me of the Clinton campaign style.

If a campaign is going to degenerate into a mud slinging contest, the Clintons will always win because they are vastly more ready to jump into the pit. The recent attacks over David Geffen and Barack Obama are just a sample of how quickly and fiercely the Clintons will attack if the campaign is simply about who can "out negative" whom.

THE KEY to victory in 2008 is for conservatives to communicate three big messages:

  1. America is faced with historic challenges that require historic responses. That is a much different style and approach than we get out of traditional politicians and their traditional consultants.
  2. If we do the right things and implement the right changes, we can build a better, safer, freer and more prosperous America. We should have the nerve to go into every neighborhood and every community and explain why our better future will work. The liberal welfare state has failed, and its bureaucracies cannot be defended if we focus on the human costs of their failures. It is our challenge to focus on the big choices, the big truths and the big contrasts, not on the petty politics of personal viciousness that characterize so much of the current system.
  3. This choice between a failed liberal, welfare-state future and an exciting, successful, conservative, opportunity- society future requires transformation at all levels of American elected office (511,000+ elected officials) and not merely the oval office."
See if YOU can find ONE genuine idea. I see an awful lot of political jargon and nothing concrete save for don't bash Hillary. I'm of the opinion that a savvy candidate should assemble all of the criticisms of RodHam as offered by her democrat challengers, making sure to refer to it as THEIR feelings. Then ask where THEY were wrong in such an assessment. Shrug a lot and say, "Hey, this is what her own party is saying about her..."

And remember. Blowjob Billy only won because of Ross Perot. Hillary getting 44% of the vote won't cut it unless...and this is a big unless...Rudi is diluted by a third party candidate.

Back to Newt: Come on, big guy. DETAILS.

Ranger T, Or Is It...

Dear Winchester,

In attempting to decipher the various Ranger-T munitions, great rounds or I wouldn't even try, I find myself in a quandary.

The web site: Ammunition To Go, features Ranger RA40180HP subsonic ammunition, and the link provided takes one to the Winchester page for Ranger ammo, but the only 180 grain varietal listed therein is RA40T.

Would you be so kind to tell me the difference between RA40180HP and RA40T. The boxes appear identical save for the product numbers.

Best regards,

Dear Fits

The difference is in the design of the bullet. The RA30180HP has a conventional hollowpoint design. The RA40T has the SXT (Formerly Black Talon) design and is much more effective.

Paul Nowak

Senior Technical Specialist

Winchester Law Enforcement Ammunition

So don't be fooled by the box. The hucksters at Ammunition To Go are calling the new Ranger-T "Talon", and they are decidedly NOT. There was a damned good reason Winchester changed the name from Black Talon to Ranger, and picture yourself in an otherwise defensible shooting when some Anti DA uses the following description then tells a jury that Talons were "outlawed" years ago. The new Rangers are measurably better bullets than the old Talons, and don't fall for the marketing ploy that offers conventional Hollowpoints, (the ones Ammo To Go is calling Subsonic in a Ranger-looking box) either. Always look for the T, but for heavens sake don't say Talon unless you like seeing yourself on the 6 O'Clock news making life tough for the rest of us.

Yes, the crooks at Ammunition To Go provide a link for the NON-T that takes you to the T page, to confuse you into buying the wrong product.

And now that I've confused the shit out of everyone, have a good day.

I recently received the new CDNN catalog and they featured certain Ranger ammunition, with the option of purchasing it via the attached phone number, or ordering online. Going online, there wasn't a dollop of ammo to be found, so I mailed them a query as to what gives.

Well duh. We don't sell ammo online. Then why did you say to go online to order ammo? Because people might find other products they might wish to purchase.

Now They Want To Formally Ban the N-Word

"Days after Michael Richards’s racist tirade at a Los Angeles comedy club, Leroy G. Comrie Jr., a New York City councilman, seethed as he listened to some black teenagers on a Queens street spewing out the same word Mr. Richards had been using.

Andrea C. McElroy, an Irvington, N.J., councilwoman, with Tahmille Robinson of Irvington; she introduced a measure to ban the slur.

“They were saying ‘nigga’ or ‘niggas’ every other word,” said Mr. Comrie, who is black. “I could tell they didn’t get it. They don’t realize how their self-image is debilitated when they use this awful word in public.”

So Mr. Comrie sponsored a resolution for a moratorium on the use of the n-word in New York City, prompting a spate of similar proposals in half a dozen local governments across four states in recent weeks. The New York City Council is scheduled to discuss Mr. Comrie’s proposal tomorrow and vote on it on Wednesday; the City Council in Paterson, N.J., and the Westchester County Legislature both unanimously approved such bans recently.

The measures, which describe the forbidden word as an “ignorant and derogatory” insult toward blacks, try to sidestep First Amendment questions by calling for “symbolic” bans only, meaning they do not have the force of law. Because they are largely aimed at blacks who use the word among themselves, the proposals have revived a debate over whether minority groups can co-opt epithets and make them empowering.

“There is a swelling population of black youth that use this word as if it is a term of endearment,” said Andrea C. McElroy, a black councilwoman who sponsored a ban on the racial epithet in Irvington, N.J., that was passed this month. “And I think it is basically incumbent upon us to remind them of the story of what that word meant to so many of our ancestors. This is something we probably should have done years ago.”

Huh? They want to ban a word. In America they want to ban a word. Can't convince the people using it to stop, well, using it, so in the land of the free and the home of the brave they want to defecate upon the 1st Amendment because they don't particularly want to hear something.

Can you say "Slippery-Slope-Time", boys and girls? The very premise of banning a word, even though it has no legal gravitas behind it, is anathema, disgusting, and far, far worse than the word itself. And how long before it goes the seat belt-route? Remember when a cop couldn't issue a summons upon discovering you were not wearing a seat belt? It went from a warning, to only ticketing those who were so derelict AFTER being pulled over for something else, to a cop running you off the road if he doesn't see the harness harnessed. Once the genie is out of its bottle there's no putting him back. In a short matter of time, their "symbolic" ban will evolve into one with a stiff penalty attached, but guess what?

But, ya think cops will be ticketing blacks for saying nigger?

Yeah right. If they did we'd pay off the national debt in record time, but it isn't going to happen.

So instead of hoisting themselves up by their own bootstraps, it is once again ENTITLEMENT TIME at the N-Word Corral. The word is so very heinous and the vast majority of blacks use it, but since they cannot be trusted to voluntarily cease and desist, why, let's make us another LAW. A law like some dirty old place like Europe would add to the books, a law so anti-American as to warrant a protest march in the name of the Founding Fathers.

Damn their eyes. I don't use the word but am dying to take it up just because.

Thanks to The War On Guns.

Federal HST Alert

Streichers has just received a shipment of 180 grain .40 caliber rounds, so get 'em while the getting is good.

If less than 180 grains is your preference for the best handgun ammunition in the whole wide world, then you'll have to wait a while longer.

A year ago, the .40's were $14.00 for a box of 50, today they're $21.00. Say la vee*. You'll always pay more for the best of anything, and this ammunition is still a bargain.

Reverend Al Says Thurmond Family Once Owned His Kin

Circa 450 AD. Black Tunisian slave traders were raiding Sicilian villages and conducting a thriving business with Rome. Unidentifed Sicilian men, women, and children were given Roman names, and from these wretched lots came my own family.

When the Reverend Al apologizes to me, I'll return the compliment. Or...we could BOTH get over it and move on with life and living. I've seniority, but if you really want to get technical WHO wasn't a slave at some point in history...

"In a revelation that will stun the nation, the Rev. Al Sharpton, one of America's most powerful black leaders, has unearthed a shattering family secret - his ancestors were slaves owned by relatives of the late South Carolina Sen. Strom Thurmond."

Weepy Lil Mikey Lupica Sniffles Over SO MUCH AMMO!

"...Roger Goodell, the new commissioner of the NFL, ought to understand something: There is the growing perception that the sound of gunfire around his sport is becoming routine. The last time a gun went off before Tommy Urbanski, a former pro wrestler working a part-time job at Minxx, took one in the torso it was a defensive back for the Denver Broncos, Darrent Williams, being shot dead in a white Hummer limousine following a club dispute on New Year's Eve.

And one of the stars at the last Super Bowl for the Chicago Bears was Tank Johnson, another one who doesn't just belong in the National Football League but clearly The League of Distinguished Gentlemen as well. Last December, when Johnson's home in Gurnee, Ill., was raided, police seized six loaded and unloaded guns and approximately 500 rounds of ammunition, presumably because Mr. Johnson was considering rushing the state of Wisconsin instead of Brett Favre..."
Lets see; 500 rounds is a decent couple days worth of range fodder, and what Lil Mikey Loon (TM) hasn't a clue about is the fact that a lot of folks buy ammunition in bulk and such a relatively small stash is legal in ALL free states, as well as the...gasp...SIX LOADED AND UNLOADED GUNS!...end gasps.

It's become vogue for sports scribes in big liberal cities to try their hand at social commentary, and of course they don't even attempt to straddle any fences while looking for the truth, but instead editorialize, and usually about something they have not a whiff of expertise about. Was a time when the sports guy was a down to earth, no bullshit, Conservative sort of fellow, but he is being replaced by the new breed of blissninny hacks who dabble in telling us how awful America is, and how vile firearms truly are.

The REAL story is the who, what, when, and where, of WHY minority athletes chose to break the law as often their disadvantaged brethren, and in truth it is a fascinating exercise. Crime, the liberals tell us, is due to the fact that poor people do bad things because they are poor. Why the rich and famous do bad things is too hot a topic to broach, and when in doubt there's always the tool to blame instead of the attitude.

A Kinder, Gentler, George Will

February 25, 2007 -- "Don't cheer, boys. The poor devils are dying."

- "Capt. John Philip of the USS Texas, to his crew in 1898, as they watched the Spanish ship Vizcaya burn off Santiago Bay, Cuba

ON March 9, 1945, 346 B-29s left the Marianas, bound for Tokyo, where they dropped 1,858 tons of incendiaries that de stroyed one-sixth of Japan's capital, killing 83,000. Gen. Curtis LeMay, then commander of the air assault on Japan, later wrote, "We scorched and boiled and baked to death more people in Tokyo . . . than went up in vapor at Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined."

That was inaccurate - 80,000 died at Hiroshima alone. And in his new biography of LeMay, Barrett Tillman writes that the general was more empathetic than his rhetoric suggested: "He could envision a 3-year-old girl screaming for her mother in a burning house." But LeMay was a warrior "whose government gave him a task that required killing large numbers of enemy civilians so the war could be won."

It has been hotly debated how much indiscriminate killing of civilians in the Asian and European theaters really was "required" and therefore was morally permissible. Even during the war there was empathy for civilian victims, at least European victims. And less than 15 years after the war, movies (e.g., "The Young Lions," 1958) offered sympathetic portrayals of common German soldiers swept into combat by the cyclone of a war launched by a tyrant.

But attitudes about the Japanese were especially harsh during the war and have been less softened by time. During the war, it was acceptable for a billboard - signed by Adm. William F. "Bull" Halsey - at a U.S. Navy base in the South Pacific to exhort "Kill Japs, Kill Japs, Kill More Japs."

Killing America's enemies was Halsey's trade. His rhetoric, however, was symptomatic of the special ferocity, rooted in race, of the war against Japan: "We are drowning and burning them all over the Pacific, and it is just as much pleasure to burn them as to drown them." Halsey endorsed the Chinese proverb that the "Jap race" was the result of "a mating between female apes and the worst Chinese criminals."

Wartime signs in West Coast restaurants announced: "This Restaurant Poisons Both Rats and Japs." In 1943, the Navy's representative on the committee considering what should be done with a defeated Japan recommended genocide - "the almost total elimination of the Japanese as a race."

Washington Post movie critic Stephen Hunter says that, of the 600-pluss English-language movies made about World War II since 1940, only four - most notably "The Bridge on the River Kwai" (1957) - "have even acknowledged the humanity" of Japanese soldiers.

Perhaps empathy for the plight of the common enemy conscript is a postwar luxury; it certainly is a civilized achievement, an achievement of moral imagination that often needs the assistance of art. That is why it is notable that "Letters From Iwo Jima" was one of five films nominated for Best Picture.

It is stressful viewing. An unsparing attempt to come as close as cinema can to conveying the reality of combat, specifically the fighting that killed 6,821 Americans and all but 1,083 of the 22,000 Japanese soldiers on the small (eight square miles) black lava island. Remember the searing first 15 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan" - the carnage at Omaha Beach? In "Letters From Iwo Jima" it is exceeded, with harrowing permutations.

The Japanese commander on the island, Tadamichi Kuribayashi, was a cosmopolitan warrior who had lived in, and never stopped admiring, America. In 2005, a team of Japanese archaeologists scouring the island's man-made caves found a sack of undelivered mail from Kuribayashi and other officers and soldiers. All the writers knew they faced overwhelming force - Japan had no assistance to send - and were doomed to die in accordance with the Japanese military code that forbade surrender and encouraged suicide.

Japanese forces frequently committed barbarities worse even than those of the German regular army, and it is difficult to gauge the culpability of conscripts commanded by barbarians. Be that as it may, the pathos of the letters humanizes the Japanese soldiers, whose fatalism was a reasonable response to the irrational.

Viewers of this movie, while moved to pride and gratitude by the valor of the U.S. Marines, will not feel inclined to cheer. We are catching up to Capt. Philip's sensibility."

Bullswaddle. The enemy IS inhuman and must be. Sane men are not capable of wholesale slaughter of their fellow man, and since Morog the cave dweller bashed Anook the forest king over the head with whatever was big enough to crush his skull, those who do the killing have learned to view those being killed as inferior. The Japs were looked upon as bloodthirsty savages, snake in the grass backstabbing savages at that, and the truth of the Japanese propensity for atrocity was more pronounced than ANY fiction a screenwriter could dream up on his best day.

We don't go to war with people we admire. And when Clint's paean to the Japanese fighting man comes to video or HBO I'll watch it and cheer for OUR heroes. George, like every other monday morning sage who never experienced war, can whimsically whistle past the graveyard all he wants, but it will always be up to the grave-makers to get so dirty a job done without bleeding from the heart.

Tax Dollars For Sex Change Operations...

"A judge has ordered taxpayers to foot the bill - up to $20,000 - for a sex-change operation that will make a 21-year-old man into a woman.

In a ruling to be released Thursday, Manhattan Family Court Judge Sheldon Rand said the city must provide the subsidized snip because the woman wannabe, identified as Mariah Lopez, had been in the care of the Administration for Children's Services as a youngster.

The judge said the agency has a duty to pay for all "necessary" medical care to the kids in its charge.

Rand ruled that Lopez suffers from a diagnosed gender-identity disorder and that surgery is the recognized treatment.

"I don't think it's hit me yet. The consequences are so far reaching," a jubilant Lopez told The Post after learning of her victory in the legal battle, which started before Lopez was 18 and cared for by ACS.

"This court has recognized that gender-identity disorder is a real condition and there is a real solution to it and people don't have to suffer from it."

The city's senior lawyer on the case, Julian Kalkstein, said, "We respectfully disagree with the judge's decision and are going to be appealing the case."

Lopez said the surgery would cost between $15,000 and $20,000. The city has already paid for a laser hair-removal procedure around Lopez's genital area."

So whenever you're getting down in the dumps about YOUR high taxes and your city's runaway entitlements, think of New York where an urge to switch teams is considered a legitimate medical concern and it's up to you and yours to foot the bill. A decade ago this would have been considered too far fetched for a movie-of-the-week fantasy but today it opens the doors for every freak show who wants to be just like mommy.

Gender identity disorder. Even Guiliani would have balked at spending money to "cure" that.

Coals To Newcastle

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — With a debate swirling nationwide over the n-word, a historically black college in Alabama has set aside four days to discuss the racial slur.

Participants at the conference, which began Thursday and ends Sunday, discussed topics ranging from the origins of the epithet to whether juggling a few letters makes it socially acceptable at the N'Surrection Conference at Stillman College.

Organizers said the goal of the event is to challenge the use of the n-word "through the use of intelligent dialogue and a thorough examination of black history."

So excuse the shit out of me if I'm in error, but maybe if American blacks stopped saying nigger every other word the bloody thing would die a natural death. And please, the only "nationwide debate" over nigger stems from the incredulity that the same people that utter it as a matter of course could then protest it's use.

If it's that bad then don't include it as part of your vocabulary. Or is that too simple?

Proof That FuddGuns Are Useful In The War Against Terror

We Send Letters

Dear Police Commissioner Kelly,

I'm addressing this directly to you, as many attempts to obtain certain information have fallen upon deaf ears.

My question is a simple one. From speaking with representatives of Speer, it is my understanding that the NYPD uses Gold Dot ammunition of the +P SAAMI specification. I was also informed that it was their recommendation for all of your officers to switch to +P+, as the 9 mm loads of that varietal had shown improved terminal ballistics in the field as well as the laboratory. Speer intimated that political considerations were first and foremost with regards to the selection of your munitions, and I would be most grateful were you to comment on this.

"I would like to thank you for your e-mail to Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly via, New York City’s official website.

Unfortunately, due to the voluminous amount of request the NYPD receives for information, it is impossible for us to respond directly to your inquiry.

If you would like additional information about the NYPD, we invite you to visit our website,, where you will find a wealth of information. Our website is one of the most comprehensive law enforcement sites in the nation. It is updated often to ensure that the most current information is available.

Thank you for your interest in the New York City Police Department.

One Ringy Dingy...

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- "A Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer has been suspended for failing to take "prompt action" to a child abuse call.

First Coast News broke the story last December when police arrested two Navy sailors for aggravated child abuse.

Police arrested Brittane Dominique Stanard, 22, and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Kahlil Mabuyi, December 4 at their Arlington Apartment.

Neighbors heard a little girl being beaten and called 911.

Caller: "The people upstairs are about to kill their daughter! They are beating her and beating her and she is screaming."

Neighbors told First Coast News the beating continued for another 24 minutes.

"At first you could tell it was with a belt," said Raychael Harkey. "Then it went to a hand, then throwing the child around the room."

Neighbors called 911 two more times, begging for help.

Caller: "I need to go up there!"

911 Dispatch: "Ma'am, no, no no. Ma'am, do not. Let the police handle that. You don't need to go up there and get shot or hurt. Ok?"

Caller: "No, but she's gonna die if they keep hurting her like this."

911 Dispatch: "Ma'am, the officers are on the way and in the area. Do not go up there."

The officer close by is Officer Gabriel E. Dobkin.

An internal affairs report shows Officer Dobkin 2.9 miles away writing a speeding ticket.

During the stop, the report indicates Dobkin saw a truck pull into a drug store parking lot with expired tags.

Internal Affairs investigators say Dobkin wrote out the ticket and then sat in the drug store parking lot, waiting for the driver of the truck to leave the store.

At that moment, a priority one call for a "battery in progress" came, the most serious on JSO's scale.

Internal Affairs says Dobkin went inside the store to find the truck driver to see if he had insurance.

Dobkin fingerprinted the driver, and wrote him a ticket before driving away to help a little girl in trouble.

Officer Dobkin told Internal Affairs he has "had many of these type of calls involving children and parents," and he believed this one to be, "routine and not life-threatening," according to the report.

The officer also told investigators, "he didn't remember ever hearing or reading about the victim being five years old," saying it wouldn't have mattered to him because he considered the call routine."

Yeah. Let the police handle it. Sit back and listen to the plaintiff cries of a child, while awaiting the constabulary. This heinous crime took place in Jacksonville, where neighbors could have interceded anytime they so desired, using whatever force was necessary. That's presuming that any one of them could have passed a background check in order to legally arm themselves, but that's another story.

The inhuman beasts who beat the little girl deserve life in prison, and the Fife who took his own sweetass time getting there should arrive soon after as a long term cellmate.

Report: Israel Asks U.S. for Iraqi Airspace Corridor for Iran Strike

LONDON — "Israel opened negotiations to fly through U.S. controlled airspace in Iraq to carry out strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, a British newspaper reported Saturday. Israel's deputy defense minister denied the claim.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper quoted an unnamed Israeli defense official as saying the talks were aimed at planning for all scenarios, including any future decision to target Iran's nuclear program."

British-Newspaper and Facts are words unbelonging to the same dimension, so we'll take this with a grain of salt. But since the Iranians are saying that the American taxpayer shouldn't be asked to foot the bill for yet another war, it IS a terrific solution to a moslem problem, so thanks for mentioning that, oh camelhumpers of the swirling sands. I'm quite sure that every scenario imaginable is being looked at, and while disbelieving The Daily Telegraph, am glad that George Bush is President this day and not some screeching harridan or on-the-job training nobody.

Mayor Sees Future...

And Yucky Guns That MIGHT Be A Problem...

Mayor seeks stricter gun law

Amyx wants jail time for carrying firearms near bars

"When it comes to bringing guns near downtown bars, there should be no more slaps on the wrist, Mayor Mike Amyx says.

Instead, just the slamming of a jail cell door.

“I think the penalty needs to be pretty stiff,” Amyx said.

Currently, the city has an ordinance that makes it illegal to possess a firearm within 200 feet of a drinking establishment unless the person has a state-issued concealed carry permit. But the city law doesn’t include a mandatory jail sentence. Instead, it gives the municipal court judge the latitude of sentencing a person from zero to 365 days in jail.

At Tuesday night’s City Commission meeting, Amyx unexpectedly brought up the idea of stiffening the penalties. Amyx said he wanted commissioners to consider rewriting the ordinance to impose mandatory jail sentences of at least 30 days for a first-time offender, 90 days for a second-time offender, and at least 180 days for people convicted two or more times. In addition, there would be a mandatory fine ranging from $500 to $2,500.

Amyx’s suggestion didn’t spark any conversation at Tuesday night’s meeting because it was not part of the commission’s agenda. But on Thursday it was drawing some favorable opinions from members of the bar industry.

I think it shows that the city wants to get out ahead of any future problems,” said Phil Bradley, executive director of the Lawrence-based Kansas Licensed Beverage Association, which represents several bars in the city. “I think this is an excellent step, and the city should consider it vigorously.”

Ah yes, the maybe it could be a problem so we better ban all Constitutional rights until the coast is clear, solution so favored by liberals the country over. Blissninny's are sure of one thing and one thing only; YOU can't be trusted to act like a responsible adult. This isn't a law for those who would use a weapon to rob or harm an innocent person. This isn't a law to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals. This is a law that says you cannot walk within 200' of a bar if you're carrying a firearm.

BECAUSE? All together now...YOU CAN'T BE TRUSTED.

Cops Want Only Themselves And Criminals To Brandish

HELENA - "The House, under pressure from law enforcement groups, reversed itself on a proposed law that would let residents brandish a firearm if they felt threatened.

The House rejected the measure on a 50-48 vote Friday, a week after first endorsing it on a 57-43 vote.

The proposal also would have clarified law to specify that gun owners don't have to retreat from a would-be assailant before shooting in self defense."

Once again law enforcement rears its frightened head. Long enough to scream hysterically for civilians to put those scary guns AWAY, or they won't come out and write parking tickets until they do.

Washington Post Dives Into The Zumbo Pool

And Surfaces Stinking As Badly As He

Zumbo's Criticism of Hunters Who Use Assault Rifles Brings Unforgiving Response From U.S. Gun Culture

Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, February 24, 2007; Page A03

SEATTLE -- "Modern hunters rarely become more famous than Jim Zumbo. A mustachioed, barrel-chested outdoors entrepreneur who lives in a log cabin near Yellowstone National Park, he has spent much of his life writing for prominent outdoors magazines, delivering lectures across the country and starring in cable TV shows about big-game hunting in the West.

Zumbo's fame, however, has turned to black-bordered infamy within America's gun culture -- and his multimedia success has come undone. It all happened in the past week, after he publicly criticized the use of military-style assault rifles by hunters, especially those gunning for prairie dogs.

His top-rated weekly TV program on the Outdoor Channel, his longtime career with Outdoor Life magazine and his corporate ties to the biggest names in gunmaking, including Remington Arms Co., have been terminated or are on the ropes.

The NRA on Thursday pointed to the collapse of Zumbo's career as an example of what can happen to anyone, including a "fellow gun owner," who challenges the right of Americans to own or hunt with assault-style firearms.

Some outdoors writers drew a different lesson from Zumbo's horrible week.

"This shows the zealousness of gun owners to the point of actual foolishness," said Pat Wray, a freelance outdoors writer in Corvallis, Ore., and author of "A Chukar Hunter's Companion."

Wray said that what happened to Zumbo is a case study in how the NRA has trained members to attack their perceived enemies without mercy..."

Now, the least of ALL peoples I'd expect to "get-it" TM, would be those associated with the Washington Post. Trotting out yet another tired old has-been never-was'er named after the gal that Kong took to dinner without knowing that "outdoor writer" is precisely the sort of chap/professional we are railing against is typical of both shoddy journalism and socialist anti-gun leanings.

Did I say leanings? Hell, if that tower in Pisa should bend half as much it would have fallen long ago. In life, if you are not an expert you listen to one. I'm a pro at spotting full frontal bullshit a mile away and little else, but pay as much attention as possible to the people responsible for our way of life.

They were named Madison, and Jefferson, and Washington, and Adams, and wrote it all down quite clearly. If Fay Wray wants to sidle with Zumbo then more power to her. This is, after all, her right to choose. But leave the Constitution alone, thank you very much.

And not for nothing, but Jim Zumbo was far from famous, and it took the NRA almost as long as the Washington Post to figure out what was happening, so we didn't go dancing to ANYONE'S tune. This started at the grassroot level and exploded from there.

WE run the NRA, not the other way around, and if the NRA itself doesn't understand this then THEY are toast, too.

Unforgiving? Bet your sweet ass we are. When a man makes the biggest mistake of his professional life then doesn't have the guts to even own up to it, he's history. I for one would wish to see this continue right up until oh, say the elections of 2008 where RodHam and her VP Hussein are put in the spotlight as well. Takes an awful lot to rile us but heaven help you if you do.

More can be found at War On Guns, and Lemuel Calhoon's web log, and by this time of day probably half of the patriots around are mentioning it.

Gone Shootin

Yeah I know. Big surprise.

Hussein Gets Tough With Cheney

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - "Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama ridiculed Vice President Dick Cheney on Friday for saying Britain's decision to pull troops from Iraq is a good sign that fits with the strategy for stabilizing the country.

Obama, speaking at a massive outdoor rally in Austin, Texas, said British Prime Minister Tony Blair's decision this week to withdraw 1,600 troops is a recognition that Iraq's problems can't be solved militarily.

"Now if Tony Blair can understand that, then why can't George Bush and Dick Cheney understand that?" Obama asked thousands of supporters who gathered in the rain to hear him. "In fact, Dick Cheney said this is all part of the plan (and) it was a good thing that Tony Blair was withdrawing, even as the administration is preparing to put 20,000 more of our young men and women in."

Well, Baracks, it's like this. The job the Brits were sent to do has been done so well that they CAN send certain logistical support troops back home. It's prepare yourself cuz this is going to be an alien concept for one so testosterone-challenged...

We Get Letters

"Are you an advocator of carrying along extra magazines or speedloaders?"

Try as I might, I have never been able to discover a documented civilian self defense shooting where a reload won the day. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened, and it'd suck to be the first guy who needed one but left home without it. The want and or need for carrying a spare magazine can be platform specific in that a Glock 17 has many more little buddies to seek and destroy goblin flesh than a Glock 26 or 27. Or, how about the poor 1911 packer with a mere 7 or 8?

I'd worry far more about a magazine malfunction than finding oneself surrounded by the cast of Night of The Living Dead, because bottomfeeders CAN and WILL stutter step now and again so it might be wise to carry a spare just as one does an extra tire in the trunk. It boils down to an individual preference, and since risk assessment is impossible to forecast outside of the sandbox or some other dirty place, there are few, if any, stalwart though they might be concealed carriers who can offer such advice with any degree of certainty. The ONLY ONES will just call you an "over-compensating retard" if you do, but it's YOUR life you are betting on, not theirs.

It's the same for revolvers. If you can tote along a speedloader with a reasonable degree of concealment, then go for it. I do not. When it is impossible to stay away from a danger zone, I favor the NY reload.

That certain situations may very well require different munitions. For instance, I find myself traveling through gator-country now and again, and the round of choice for a unsociable biped wouldn't be as effective as one designed for a rascally reptile. If I know beforehand that I'll be venture into or near a swamp, then a spare magazine of suitable...200 grains of hardcast lead...cartridges is carried along just in case. Not that I'd ever harm a scale on their chinny chin chin, because that's illegal and I am nothing if not a law-abiding citizen who would rather leave an arm or a leg than injure one of natures noble creatures.

When A Shoestring Is A Machinegun....

Surrender Talk From "THE GUN NUT"

"Gun owners -- all gun owners -- pay a heavy price for having to defend the availability of these weapons. "The American public -- and the gun-owning public; especially the gun-owning public -- would be better off without the hardcore military arms, which puts the average sportsman in a real dilemma".An Uzi or an AKM or an AK-47 should be no more generally available than a Claymore mine or a block of C4 explosive"

David Petzal, writer for Field & Stream, back when he was for all intents and purpose defending the Clinton Gun Ban.

Now he wishes to re-write history, and ala Jim Zumbo, worm his way out of the corner he painted himself into.
