The Sandman Did It

NORTHPORT, Alabama. | "A man who said he was sleeping with a gun in his bed accidentally shot himself in the shoulder Wednesday morning.

The 24-year-old told investigators that he must have hit the .40-caliber pistol with his hand, said Capt. Loyd Baker of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit.

The man lives in Northgate Apartments, in the 3700 block of 34th Avenue in Northport.

The gunshot wound was not life-theatening (sic: fits), Baker said."

Hey, it might have been worse. He could'a dozed off in his garage and been shredded then bagged by his lawn mower.

Federal Hate Crimes Bill Something To Really Really Hate

Say Buh-Bye To Double Jeopardy

"On April 23, the House Judiciary Committee voted 15-to-12 to approve a dramatic expansion of the federal hate-crimes law. The bill, H.R. 1913, would add gender, sexual orientation, and transgender characteristics to a law originally designed to protect racial minorities. It also greatly expands the law’s reach over local offenses typically handled by state prosecutors, by eliminating many jurisdictional limits.

The bill would allow people who have been found innocent of a hate crime in state court to be reprosecuted in federal court. Many supporters of the federal hate crimes bill want to allow people who have been found innocent of a hate crime in state court to be reprosecuted in federal court. As one supporter put it, “the federal hate crimes bill serves as a vital safety valve in case a state hate-crimes prosecution fails.” The claim that the justice system has “failed” when a jury returns a not-guilty verdict is truly scary and contrary to the constitutional presumption of innocence and the right to trial by jury.

But it is a view widely shared among supporters of the hate-crimes bill. Syndicated columnist Jacob Sullum pointed out in 1998 that Janet Reno, Clinton’s Attorney General, backed the bill as a way of providing a federal “forum” for prosecution if prosecutors fail to obtain a conviction “in the state court.”

As Sullum noted, the federal hate crimes bill exploits a loophole in constitutional protections against double jeopardy, known as the “dual sovereignty” doctrine. The Supreme Court created this loophole in its 5-to-4 Bartkus decision.

Supporters of the hate crimes bill also see it as a way to prosecute people even in cases where the evidence is so weak that state prosecutors have decided not to prosecute. Attorney General Eric Holder has pushed for the hate crimes bill as a way to prosecute people whom state prosecutors refuse to prosecute because of a lack of evidence. To justify broadening federal hate-crimes law, he cited three examples where state prosecutors refused to prosecute, citing a lack of evidence. In each, a federal jury acquitted the accused, finding them not guilty.

Animal trainers know all about conditioning a beast until it does what the trainer wants. The basic premise goes like this; trick the animal into thinking that what it is doing is natural, expected, and that obedience is followed by a reward.

And make no mistake, we ARE being trained.

Failing to beat us head to head and toe to toe, our enemy has resorted to changing the rules in an attempt to make us think that we're doing the right thing. Then comes the democrat reward; health care, welfare, and free pony rides if need be, just as long as we forget our rights, forget the Constitution, forget the very premise of being a free people.

Control. Taking our monies, using it for THEIR pet projects and hobbies, and conditioning us to believe that this is the natural way of things. Doesn't matter if its hate crimes, or letting illegal aliens have free rein, or disarming the Republic or apologizing to the rest of the world about the American propensity to fight for American interests.

They KNOW that we cannot be trusted to decide upon our own destiny, and nothing better illustrates this particular-to-liberals propensity to run things THEIR WAY or the HIGHWAY better than Hussein Obama touring the planet to let everyone know that the new sheriff in town has all but forbidden pride in patriotism.

Not that liberals CAN change the rules, as all men of good will know that we are endowed by our it a deity or a Darwin...with unalienable rights that are NOT government bestowed and therefore CANNOT be government sanctioned into oblivion.

This week its hate crimes. Next week they'll be after our guns yet again, and the future is littered with liberal laundry lists of things to steal.

Not on our watch (?).

Since not enough folks check the comment section here, it behooves me to post two fine examples of what patriots are saying about the rain the park and other things:

"When the cops were wrongfully acquitted in the Rodney King beating, everybody was all for a new trial in federal court. Had I been on the jury I would have tried to put those cops in jail for 900 plus years. Hate criminals, especially ones in uniform.

But I was totally opposed to changing the name of the offense for the same act and trying them again. I said it would lead to this."

Again, I was right. Now, where are all those assholes who told me I was paranoid? You ain't paranoid if the sonsofbitches really are out to fuck you up.

Gravatar "There is no constitutional authority for federal "hate crimes" prosecution. If "dual sovereignty" is a problem, perhaps it's because one of the sovereigns really isn't? I would also like the "hate crimes" bill amended to include "disdain for the Constitution"."

And Ann Coulter Has Her Say On Those Tortuous American Techniques Such As...GASP!...Caterpilling!!

"Without any pretense of an argument, which liberals are neurologically incapable of, the mainstream media are now asserting that our wussy interrogation techniques at Guantanamo constituted "torture" and have irreparably harmed America's image abroad.

Only the second of those alleged facts is true: The president's release of the Department of Justice interrogation memos undoubtedly hurt America's image abroad, as we are snickered at in capitals around the world, where they know what real torture is. The Arabs surely view these memos as a pack of lies. What about the pills Americans have to turn us gay?

The techniques used against the most stalwart al-Qaida members, such as Abu Zubaydah, included one terrifying procedure referred to as "the attention grasp." As described in horrifying detail in the Justice Department memo, the "attention grasp" consisted of:

"(G)rasping the individual with both hands, one hand on each side of the collar opening, in a controlled and quick motion. In the same motion as the grasp, the individual is drawn toward the interrogator."

The end.

There are rumors that Dick "Darth Vader" Cheney wanted to take away the interrogators' Altoids before they administered "the grasp," but Department of Justice lawyers deemed this too cruel.

And that's not all! As the torments were gradually increased, next up the interrogation ladder came "walling." This involves pushing the terrorist against a flexible wall, during which his "head and neck are supported with a rolled hood or towel that provides a C-collar effect to prevent whiplash."

There is of course more over at Ann's site, but suffice to say that A.) What was done to these criminals hardly constitutes "torture", and B.) Now that they KNOW how truly easygoing our interrogation techniques are, what's to stop them from training their cult killers to simply wait for the caterpillar to crawl away?

Fred Thompson On "Obama, The Great Divider"

Fred Thompson: Obama Loosed 'Dogs of War' on CIA

"Newsmax.TV’s Ashley Martella cited the announcement that the Defense Department is going to release many pictures showing alleged abuse by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and asked Thompson what purpose that might serve.

“None, other than to serve as propaganda tools for our worst enemies,” Thompson said.

“This was set in motion when the president first decided to release” CIA memos on interrogation techniques used on terrorist suspects, Thompson told Newsmax.

“There was no purpose in doing that except to make him look good internationally and to the left wing here at home,” he said. “It did a lot of damage.

“In one stroke of a pen he declassified top-secret documents that people would otherwise go to jail for releasing. It gave al-Qaida and the Taliban a blueprint as to the outer limits of our interrogation techniques.

“We have to remember that [the techniques were used] in the aftermath of 9/11. Congress was briefed on these techniques. Some of them asked if they were really going far enough to get what they needed to get, and it was approved at high levels in the administration.

“They carefully crafted them as best they could to not go too far, and to provide safeguards when they were carrying out these admittedly rough techniques on these people who had this vital information.

“So now we’re really talking about a war crimes tribunal, which this country has never done. We’ve never brought to criminal court prior administrations in this country.

“Harry Truman could have been accused of war crimes, I suppose, for dropping the bombs. President Obama authorized the killing of those three [pirates] in the Indian Ocean not too long ago. Prosecuting these people under these circumstances is something you hear about in banana republics and third-world countries, not the United States of America.

“The president’s opened up a terrible Pandora’s Box and there’s going to be a price to pay before this thing is ended.”

Martella asked if the Obama administration was acquiescing to its far-left base when it released the CIA memos on interrogation techniques.

“I think in this case, in all probability, they thought that they could cater to their left wing, appease their demands, by releasing these memos and then it might not go any further,” Thompson said.

“Because surely they were able to see that this was bad for them the way it’s going to be bad for the country.

“This is going to have ramifications that are far-reaching. They thought they could put the genie back in the bottle after they opened it, and of course appeasement never works that way.

“There was a firestorm. The attorney general’s received 250 names in a petition to urge the appointment of a special prosecutor for this. The left-wing blogs went nuts. They started running television ads and so forth.

“And then after promising that there would be no prosecutions, [Obama] acquiesced and now opened the door for that. So I think it’s a case of naivete, ineptitude and unbelievable arrogance and lack of experience.

“We elected someone who didn’t have two minutes’ worth of experience with regard to matters concerning national security. Now he’s cast in this position and he’s making decisions that are going to have far-reaching ramifications not only abroad, and not only with our enemies, but in dividing our country even further here at home in ways I don’t think we’ve ever been divided before.

“We’re going to have members of Congress testifying against each other if they go down this road.”

Some of these Democrats are “the same people who were briefed on these techniques back in 2002,” Thompson said, “including Nancy Pelosi, who’s not telling the truth now, who’s trying to parse words and trying to get around the fact that she knew what was going on, as others did back when this happened.

“That creates a new level of animosity like I’ve never seen before, and I served in the Senate for eight years. The dogs of war have been loosed in this country and I don’t know what is going to happen before we see the end of it. But none of it’s going to be good.”

As fearful of her own shadow as Nancy Pelosi really is (all true modern liberals are abject cowards), it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine her not only giving her unequivocal consent for the waterboarding of prisoners, but demanding genuine torture be rained upon them lest their ragheaded brethren decide to strike California next and ruin her organic leechynut gardens.

Obo and Nance, or Dope and Mange as they'll come to be known, are going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do.

Web critic angers Orlando Police Chief

"Orlando police Chief Val Demings is threatening to sue one of her critics for creating a Web site that criticizes her performance. is run by Ezell "Easy" Harris, a frequent critic of Demings', and contains a disclaimer stating the chief has no association with the site.

Demings' attorney, Griffith J. Winthrop III, accuses Harris in an April 17 letter of "maligning" and defaming the chief. The letter also says Harris violated the law by using her "persona" and identity and claims Harris' behavior is "malicious."

Demings is demanding that the Web site be taken down and threatens to sue Harris if he refuses.

Harris on Saturday said he has no intention of removing the site, which prominently features a report on the theft of Demings' 9 mm service weapon, which was stolen from her agency sport utility vehicle Feb. 27. It has not been recovered."

Since the Chief's poodle shooting 9mm hardly gets the job done anywhere they are employed...especially after they've been stolen then sent to Mexico to kill beaner cops who then blame the crime on U.S. gunshows... I emailed Chief Demings the link to one of our posts that featured the new GLOCK 22 RTF.

Like them or not, the RTF's have a grip surface easier to HANG ON TO. And are a helluva lot less expensive than her old Sig, more accurate, and easier to maintain.

The Chief, if you recall, said that she left the stolen pistol in her personal vehicle because children were visiting her home and she did not wish to have a gun in the house.

Now see if you can laugh, sneeze, and shout BULLSHIT all at the same time but don't hurt yourself.

And not for nothing, but after checking out the claws on this witch...which I'm SURE he has done on company time, entitled folks are always that way...seems to me she doesn't need a firearm for protection.

Thanks to The War on Guns for the link.

White House Apologizes for Air Force Flyover Of Ground Zero

Mayor Bloomberg Rushes To Submit Flyover Loophole Bill To End Such Harrowing Stunts...Mexican Government Blames U.S. Gunshows For Tijuana Flyovers From Last Year..

"An Air Force One lookalike, the backup plane for the one regularly used by the president, flew low over parts of New York and New Jersey on Monday morning, accompanied by two F-16 fighters, so Air Force photographers could take pictures high above the New York harbor.

But the exercise — conducted without any notification to the public — caused momentary panic in some quarters and led to the evacuation of several buildings in Lower Manhattan and Jersey City. By the afternoon, the situation had turned into a political fuse box, with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg saying that he was “furious” that he had not been told in advance about the flyover.

The flyover, which began around 10 a.m., resulted in widespread confusion and a flood of calls to emergency hot lines. Perplexed officials at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other authorities were inundated with calls from anxious ferry passengers, office workers and residents.

The mayor said the Police Department and someone in his administration – he did not say who – received an e-mail from the Federal Aviation Administration late on Thursday, informing them that there would be “a fly-by for a photo-op, as they described it.”

However, Mr. Bloomberg said he was not apprised of the flyover until his BlackBerry started buzzing this morning with messages from people asking if he knew what was going on. He characterized it as a breakdown in communication that “will never happen again.”

“First thing is, I’m annoyed – furious is a better word – that I wasn’t told,” he said at a City Hall news conference held to discuss the swine flu cluster in Queens."

Operatives working for Shooting the Messenger...the online blog chronicling the adventures of a High Marshall of the Hogtown Irregulars... have discovered that the Mayor's office added that there had been discussions concerning possible straw-flyover attempts, whereby private investigators hired by the Mayor would call the White House asking for a flyover, with prosecution to follow should any of the Obama staff agree to such a proposal.

Gunman opens fire into crowd at Harlem barbecue

"A gunman shot wildly into a crowd at an outdoor barbecue in Harlem early this morning, hitting three people and leaving a 13-year-old boy in critical condition, police said.

The teen, Christopher Owen, was among the more than 300 people enjoying the unseasonably warm night along Lenox Ave. when gunshots rang just before 1:30 a.m.

A single bullet struck Christopher in the head, sending him sprawling to the sidewalk near W. 121st St. He has not yet regained consciousness at St. Luke's Hospital, officials said.

"He's a wonderful kid," said the teen's mother. "Help me catch who shot my son."

The block party that ended in bloodshed started when the sun set Saturday night. Hordes of revelers were drawn there by food and drinks offered outside the Paris Blues lounge.

The crowd grew unruly soon after midnight, as several small fights broke out among the predominantly teenage partygoers, said the security guard at the lounge.

"I could feel it, I could sense the potential for violence out here," said guard Steven Jackson."

So lemme get this straight...

Rowdy gang party gets rowdier.
Fights break out, and fights in Harlem mean one thing. The same thing it meant 50 years ago. Knives and bats and guns will pass through the crowd like full canteens in the middle of a desert.

Know this for a fact because I've been trapped on the fringe of such a brouhaha more than once back when I grew up in Manhattan.
No one really cares all that much about the minor cuts inflicted by stiletto's, or the bruises from the Louisville Sluggers, but a gunshot or two means business when the liberal press, police, and politico's get involved.

And instead of asking WHY this melee was allowed to continue after war was declared among the rival gangs, the hue and cry will attack the firearms used.

There is not, nor in recent memory has there BEEN a peaceful gang barbecue in Harlem, and if you're buying the report that "all was well until the guns showed up", or, "a fun time was being had by all as they hugged trees while singing Bob Dylan songs", then lets meet later on to see which bridge I can sell your stupid ass.

But back to why the cops didn't arrive until after the lead did.

All parties involved said one thing; the police were there in a flash, and in NYC that means they were around the block awaiting the death toll. Cruise on by while upwards of 500 gangstas...
300 is a laugh...are wrestling in the streets and two things will go down:

1.) Cop or no cop, you're going to get hurt....because...

2.) Instead of thanking the police for checking things out, the hoodsters will focus their hatred of humanity on them instead of one another and Al Sharpton is only a phone call away.

Nope, better to wait until they begin shooting themselves, because that'll awaken the parents and they'll be screaming for the cops.

Mexico Cancels Public Events From Swine Flu Fear

MEXICO CITY/GENEVA (Reuters) - "A new flu that has killed up to 68 people in Mexico could start a global epidemic, the World Health Organization warned on Saturday, as tests showed the strain might be spreading in the United States.

Mexico's crowded capital, where most of the deaths happened and home to some 20 million people, hunkered down in fear of the swine flu."

No word yet on from whence the M-4-geries came from, but it stands to reason that our government will be soon declaring they were smuggled into the country after a U.S. gun show.

Here's the real deal; in all probability the pictured poodle shooters were bought legally from American firms permitted to sell to Mexico. But check back with those same cops a year from now and every last one of them will have been sold to one drug lord or another. Then, a raid will find them and a trace will show they came from the U.S.

...and finally...

Our media will report that once again our firearms wound up in bad guy hands.

Done deal. Liberal voters and politicians and media members simply cannot follow anything resembling a linear thought process, and all they know is that we make guns, gangsters get guns, so it's the honest American citizen's fault. Gotta be.

Glockmeister Has The New G-17 RTF

"Due to the success of the 22 RTF that was released earlier this year, Glock is now producing the same rough textured frame and new style slide for the 17. We are now taking pre-orders for the Glock 17 RTF (rough textured frame). The limited amount of our first allocation will go at the reduced of $479.00 for all pre-orders. If you are a local customer please call us at 480-539-3978 to reserve your gun. For our out of state customers, please find an FFL Dealer in your area to accept the transfer and call us at 1-888-456-2563.
We will stop taking pre-orders Tuesday, April 28th."

Personally, I don't like the rough textured version (and the new slide serrations make me dizzy) but they're apparently selling like hotcakes so give Glockmeister a call or hit the headline link for more info. And, as you can plainly see, the picture is of the Glock 22 RTF, cause I couldn't find a shot of the 17 yet.

Mr. Napolitano In Hot Water Yet Again...

"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is under fire for what critics see as a string of gaffes, with a small but vocal group of conservatives calling for her to step down.

So let's see...

At least 48% of the electorate despises the guy, and that, according to the Yellowstream Media, figures out to be a small but vocal group. The new-math as seen through journaljizzer eyes...

"The outrage continues to build over a report from her department that warned of the danger of right-wing "extremists," and singled out returning war veterans as susceptible to recruitment.

Napolitano expressed regret for the reference to veterans -- but she raised eyebrows again this week when she suggested that the Sept. 11 hijackers entered the United States through Canada, even though the 9/11 Commission determined they came to the United States from overseas.

"I don't know that the secretary understands the depth of the disruption that she's caused," Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, told FOX News on Thursday, referring to the report on extremist threats. "I think the appropriate thing to do is for her to step down and let's move on."

Conservatives made a stern call for her ouster Wednesday night on the House floor.

"Mr. President, fire that woman," said Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, complaining that Napolitano's comments on the controversial report were half-hearted. "To go on television and say your apology to be, 'I'm sorry you were offended by this report,' that's no apology."

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., also said Napolitano's resignation is in order, and she should be brought before Congress for a hearing."

A hearing would be a good start, sure. Lynching is out of the question, as he deserves his day in court before facing a firing squad of disabled veterans and Canadians.

"An Apollo 14 astronaut told a group of UFOlogists Monday that aliens are not a myth and called on the government to disclose its findings, The Washington Times reported.

"It is now time to put away this embargo of truth about the alien presence," Edgar D. Mitchell, who made the longest moonwalk in history, told those attending a conference in Gaithersburg, Md., set up by the Paradigm Research Group.

"I call upon our government to open up ... and become a part of this planetary community that is now trying to take our proper role as a spacefaring civilization," the 79-year-old added. "We are being visited."

Paradigm Research Group founder Stephen Bassett backed Mitchell's theory and demanded that President Obama's administration release all information concerning extraterrestrial beings.

"If it does not disclose, by the end of May — this is not a threat or anything, you don't threaten the United States government, they're heavily armed ... the PRG has an enormous and substantial network, and quite a bit of documentary evidence connected to this, particularly politically ... and we are going to be extensively putting that out to the media, and we're just going to make it as difficult on them as possible," Bassett told the newspaper."

Not naming sources that demanded total anonymity, I'm pleased as punch to include this undated photo that Paradigm Research has categorized as being " extraterrestrial alien attempting to disguise itself as human..."

More to follow as the story continues to develop.

Court Says Marine Can’t Sue Murtha

WASHINGTON - A U.S. appeals court ruled Tuesday that a Marine cannot sue a U.S. lawmaker for defamation after the congressman accused his squad of war crimes and murdering Iraqi women and children.

Staff Sgt. Frank Wuterich claimed Rep. John Murtha damaged his reputation by saying the squad he was leading killed women and children "in cold blood" in Haditha, Iraq, on Nov. 19, 2005. Wuterich is charged with nine counts of voluntary manslaughter and other allegations for the attack.

Murtha and the Justice Department argued the congressman has immunity from the lawsuit because he was acting in his official role as a lawmaker when he made the comments to reporters. A three-judge panel on U.S. Court of Appeals agreed."

So there you have it. As long as "men" like Martha remain elected representatives they can say pretty much what they want, regardless of their utterance's proximity to truthfulness.

Now, I know that we all EXPECT politicians to lie, but having the courts blessing is a little too much, ya think?

Rest In Peace Nell Coulter

by Ann Coulter

"A lot of people claim to be my No. 1 fan -- God bless them -- but my true No. 1 fan left this world last week. My mother quietly stopped breathing last Tuesday, as she slept peacefully, holding my hand.

She was the biggest fan of all of us -- Father, me and my brothers John and Jim.

After reading the eulogy column I wrote for Father last year -- not to excess, probably only about 4,637 times -- Mother realized to her chagrin that she wouldn't be able to read the eulogy column I'd be writing for her, and started hinting that maybe I could rustle up a draft so she could take a peek.

But I couldn't do it, until I had to.

The only thing Mother wanted to be sure my brothers and I included in her remembrances were her contributions to the Republican Party, the New Canaan Republican Town Committee and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was a direct descendant of at least a dozen patriots who served the cause of the American Revolution and traced her lineage on both sides of her family to Puritan nonconformists who came to America in 1633 seeking religious freedom on a ship led by Pastor Thomas Hooker. Or, as Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano would call them, "A dangerous right-wing extremist hate group."

Even back in the Puritan days, Mother's female ancestors were brought up on charges for their heretical dressing styles (and then sassed the judge). During the Revolution, one female ancestor, Effie Ten Eyck Van Varick, contributed to the rebel cause by donating lead for bullets from the curtain weights in her home in what was, even then, traitorous, loyalist Manhattan.

Mother's deep-seated political activism saved me on more than one occasion.

At the 2004 Republican National Convention, I was taking my parents to a lot of the parties in New York and, at one of them, Herman Cain walked up to me and told me he was a big fan even though I probably didn't know who he was.

Cain was the former president and CEO of Godfather's Pizza who was then running for the U.S. Senate from Georgia. I had seen him on Fox News' "Cavuto" -- but I couldn't remember his name for the life of me.

Luckily for me, Mother was standing next to me and she piped in, "I know who you are -- I donated to your campaign." Thank you, Mommy!

Mother probably contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to various conservative outfits over the years -- all in her little $20 checks -- especially to any organization that claimed it was going to stop Hillary. In fact, if they mentioned Hillary in their letter, Mother sometimes made it $25.

My brothers and I always figured we'd have no inheritance, but there would be a lovely memorial to Oliver North somewhere.

Mother may have thought her most notable characteristic was her Republican activism, but, for the rest of us, it was her constant, unconditional love. She was a little love machine, spreading warmth and joy wherever she went.

Every time she'd see me, even after just a few days' absence, she'd hug me as if I had been lost in the Himalayan Mountains for the past 20 years.

On Mother's birthday last year, I had a dinner party for her with Rush Limbaugh, Conrad Black and my friends Peter and Angie.

Mother was always delighted to be with people talking about politics -- actually she told me that, lately, she was delighted to be around any conversations that didn't involve who had a doctor's appointment or who had died that day.

So I let her stay up until 3 a.m. that night, well past her bedtime. Mother was so happy that after I had her all tucked in and the lights out, I heard her singing herself to sleep.

Even on the rare occasions when I'd be cross with her, she'd completely forget about it, and within 10 seconds would be telling me what a wonderful, precious daughter I was. My brother Jimmy found out recently that she'd even forgotten that he had caused her to miss Reagan's first inauguration by getting in a car accident the night before we were leaving -- and she never should have forgotten that.

Everyone wanted my mother to be his mother. (The "his" in that sentence is grammatically correct and Mother would never let us forget it.) I'm sure everyone thinks he has the perfect mother, but we really did.

Since I was a little girl, friends, relatives and neighbors would bring their problems to Mother. She had a rare combination of being completely moral and completely nonjudgmental at the same time -- the exact opposite of liberals who have absolutely no morals and yet are ferociously judgmental.

You could tell Mother anything, get good counsel and not end up feeling worse about yourself.

Several of Mother's New Canaan friends sent us notes last week, calling her a "gentle lady" and remarking that she never had an unkind word for anyone.

As a family member, I can assure you that -- much to our annoyance -- she really did never have an unkind word for anyone. I mean, except Democrats, but not anyone she knew.

Whenever the rest of us would be making fun of someone -- trust me, always for good and sound reasons -- Mother would somehow manage to muster up a defense of the miscreant. Father would always smile and say, "Your mother defends everyone."

She was, in fact, such a "gentle lady" that I had to go to her doctors' appointments and hospital visits with her and be her Mother Lion. If officious hospital administrators had told Mother to get off a gurney, go outside in the pouring rain and stand on one foot for three hours before the doctor would see her, she'd thank them profusely and apologize for being such a bother.

She viewed her doctors' appointments as social visits, which is the other reason I'd have to go with her, to make sure we eventually got around to the business end of the appointment.

When she began her final decline last fall, she had to go to her Connecticut doctor without me to find out what was wrong. This was the first time she didn't seem to be getting better after a chemo treatment.

So I had been worrying about her appointment all day, but when I called her that night, she immediately turned the subject to me and asked me how my book was going.

I insisted on knowing if she had seen the doctor and she perked up and brightly told me that, oh yes, she had seen him, he had all my books in his office, he was worried about Obama, too, and he has such beautiful children!

Before she launched into a spirited discussion of his children's extracurricular activities and triumphs on the athletic field, I had to ask her, "Mommy, did the doctor happen to say anything about why you're feeling lousy?"

It turned out, of course, that it was the ovarian cancer -- as well as the massive amounts of poison she had been receiving to kill the cancer over the past five years. That was the beginning of the end.

Now I'll never be able to introduce my Mother to friends and surprise them with her charming Southern accent.

And I'll never see my mother's beautiful face again, at least not for the next several decades here on Earth. I've been looking at her across the room in doctors' offices over the past few years, thinking to myself: There will come a point when you won't see that face again.

Her angelic face always looked like home to me. My whole life, as soon as I'd see my mother's face I'd know I was safe, whether I was a little girl lost in a department store or a big girl with a problem, who needed her mother.

Thanks to the doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and mother's fighting Kentucky spirit, we got to see that face much longer than anyone ever expected.

So now she's with Daddy and Jesus. Every single day since Daddy died last year, Mother would say how much she missed him and gaze at his photo, telling us what an amazing man he was and repeating his little expressions and jokes. Even though I miss her, I'm glad they're together again.

I don't know about Jesus, but I think Daddy was getting impatient. But Mommy was always running a little bit late"

Lord but that made me get all congested.

Cheese-Eater Chief Tells Officers To Take 'Em Down

"My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we’ll put them on the ground, take the gun away and then decide whether you have a right to carry it,..."

Doesn't matter that the Attorney General has informed the Chief of Milwaukee police otherwise. His Highness, as can be seen from the above quote, has his own agenda, and it is getting a lot of Blogging.

Ride Fast links to Sebastian who pretty much says to carry but be prepared to lawyer up. I enjoy the writings of Ride and consider him a brother in arms and a patriot. I do not frequent Sebastian's Blog, nor would I truck with anyone who "advised" a fellow citizen to take a beating. Just because some little dictator thinks he can harm his fellow citizens with impunity.

My advice would be as meaningless as all others, but here's what I'd do. Me. Myself. I.

Were a man or woman, ANY man or woman, to interdict my path of travel with intent to hurl me to the ground for absolutely no legal reason in hell, I would warn, then kill them if they persisted in such an assault. The law of the land gives me that if I needed it in writing...and Florida also says I can defend myself from such illegal and potentially fatal confrontations.

I won't fuck with you if you don't fuck with me.

Why is that so hard to understand?

At the end of the day, we all have to respond as we see fit, so I wouldn't dream of presuming to tell you and yours what to do. Just be aware that if you or yours try such shenanigans on me, there'd be hell to pay.

Mr. Janet Says "Illegal Immigration Not A Crime..."

"Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano stunned many listeners during an appearance on CNN when she asserted that illegal immigration is really not a crime.

In an interview with CNN’s John King last week, Napolitano discussed Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., a strict enforcer of immigration laws who says he wants illegal aliens to be prosecuted and jailed.

King said: “A lot of Democrats in Congress want you to investigate him. They think he is over the line. He says he is just enforcing the law and the problem is the federal government.”

Napolitano responded: “Sheriff Joe … knows that there aren’t enough law enforcement officers, courtrooms or jail cells in the world to do what he is saying.

“What we have to do is target the real evil-doers in this business, the employers who consistently hire illegal labor, the human traffickers who are exploiting human misery.

“And yes, when we find illegal workers, yes, appropriate action, some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se. It is civil. But anyway, going after those as well.”

The fact is, crossing the border without authorization is a crime. The statute reads: “Any alien who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers . . . shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both.”

Well now. Let's see. The head of Fatherland, strike that, HOMELAND Security doesn't even know the law, which we kinda already knew since she's a liberal democrat, and betcha when faced with apologizing for her egregious mistake, or shrugging it off as mere mutterings from the little people, she favors the latter.

Can someone just tell this ignoramus to go home?

Why sure.

Hey, Janet? Go home, fella.

Mom Ordered Daughters Out, Drove Off

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Usually, it's an empty threat: "If you kids don't stop fighting, I'm going to stop this car right now and leave you here!" But a mother from an upper-crust New York suburb went through with it, ordering her battling 10- and 12-year-old daughters out of her car in White Plains' business district and driving off, police said Tuesday.

Madlyn Primoff, 45, a partner in a Manhattan law firm, pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of endangering a child. A temporary order of protection was issued, barring her from contact with the children, who were physically unharmed.

Primoff's lawyer, Vincent Briccetti, would not comment Tuesday on details of the case. But he said, "Madlyn is a great mother connected with a great family, and she is grateful for the outpouring of support from friends and family."

There wasn't much support from strangers, however. Mothers interviewed near the scene said they couldn't imagine doing what Primoff did, though some understood the urge.

Iris Gorodess, 49, of Mahopac, who has four children ranging from 10 to 19 years old, said she sympathized with Primoff's actions, right up to the point where she pulled away.

"I used to pull over and make the kids change seats. Also, I make sure the kids have their iPods and their games. And I have a minivan, so they're not up my neck all the time."

iPods? Games? So then, if not bribed into respectability the kids simply run the show?

"But I can't see pulling away. That has to be too scary for the children."

White Plains police said Primoff ordered the arguing girls out of the car Sunday evening as they were driving home. She left them at Post Road and South Broadway, an area of shops and offices 3 miles from their home, then drove off, the police report said.

The report does not say whether the girls had cell phones.

Police would not say if Primoff ever returned to look for the girls, but they said, without explaining how, that the 12-year-old eventually caught up with the mother. The 10-year-old was found by a "Good Samaritan" on the street, upset and emotional about losing her mother, police said.

The girl gave police her mother's name and their address in well-to-do Scarsdale, and they asked Scarsdale police to check Primoff's $2 million house. Shortly afterward, Primoff called Scarsdale police from home to say the 10-year-old was missing, said Scarsdale Detective Lt. Bryant Clark.

He directed her to White Plains police headquarters, where she was arrested.

Dr. Richard Gersh, director of psychiatric services at the Jewish Board of Family and Children's Services in Manhattan, said Primoff's behavior was not appropriate.

"It is a traumatic situation for a child to be abandoned by a parent like that. You can imagine what emotional issues might arise," he said."

Poor babies.

It is an irrefutable fact that, for the most part, modern women do not have anything resembling control of their adorable little darlings. Not that men are any better, mind you, but as long as people believe in the motherhood-fairy today's distaffs are going to be looked at far more askance than their staffs should they even attempt to raise obedient, respectful children.

The lady in question ejected her misbehaving beget in a good neighborhood not all that far from home. Good for you, ma'am. Sorry we live in an age where some twisted ass shrink gets to decide what is and is not appropriate with regards to your children, but try to find some solace in being a pioneer at least.

Obama Agrees With Bush Policy: Won't Attend Durband II Racism Conference In Geneva

by Ambassador John Bolton

"THE Obama administration's decision not to at tend this week's "Durban II" conference on racism in Geneva means that boycotting outrageous United Nations parleys is now officially bipartisan US policy. This is real US leadership.

The decision is likely the administration's most painful foreign-policy call to date. Nonetheless, the US boycott is a major diplomatic signal with long-term ramifications, despite the State Department's effort to bend its knee by expressing "regret" at the decision.

As depressed as backers of unconstrained US "engagement" must be, our boycott reflects an inescapable reality: The outcome of Durban II was going to be as hateful and anti-Semitic as that of the original, 2001 UN "anti-racism" conference in Durban, South Africa. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech to the parley yesterday proved the point, as he viciously attacked Israel and America. Several nations, including Britain and France, walked out in protest.

... (this) effectively reaffirms President George W. Bush's 2001 approach and makes withdrawing from UN events a respectable policy option. It legitimizes the US assertion of its interests and those of its friends and allies, rather than repeatedly succumbing to the simplistic notion that "engagement" is always preferred."

Yup. We all know how racism and full frontal scumbaggery is rampant in the U.N. and ridiculous venues such as the Durban (should be spelled Turban) Conference in Geneva.

But the angry, rock throwing, house burning, building 'sploding' left...the REAL insider terrorist threat to the U.S....doesn't think so and it'll make lunatic heads spin to hear that their jug eared boy blunder is following in Chimp Bush's footsteps.

Extra wide grin.

Time To Play...Eye-On-Those-Wacky-Moslems

SAN'A, Yemen — "A Yemeni woman has been executed by firing squad for killing her husband, whom she accused of molesting their daughter.

The woman's lawyer, Abdel-Alim al-Wafi, says she was executed Sunday in a province north of the capital, San'a.

The 40-year-old woman, Aisha al-Hamzi, had seven children. She said she killed her husband in 2002 because he molested their oldest daughter, now 14.

She was sentenced to death in 2003. Under Yemeni law, she could have been pardoned if one of her children had agreed. But the lawyer says none of her children did because of pressure from the father's family."

"Pressure" being the operative word here.

"Pressure" as in "Say one thing good about your mother and we strangle you all."

Schumer Urges Repeal of Gun Records Policy

Obama And The New Girl Agree...

NEW YORK (AP) -- "New York Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are calling for the repeal of federal policy requiring records of gun background checks be destroyed after 24 hours.

The Democratic lawmakers say the Tiahrt Amendment restricts police from using gun trace information.

They say such information is crucial to cracking down on illegal gun trafficking and reducing gun violence.

Schumer and Gillibrand are urging President Barack Obama to reinstate a 90-day retention period.

Obama has said he supports the repeal of the amendment."

Now, Obo and Chuckie are well known gun-grabbers so its no shock to see them wishing to do away with our unalienable rights, but wasn't Kirsten supposed to be on our side? You know, the chick that replaced Rodhams, the one with alla them long guns under her bed?

"Mothers Against Gun Violence" speak out

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- "It started with a peace march, a statement against ongoing issues of violence in Syracuse. Later Sunday, a vigil was held to honor the victim of a fatal stabbing and for members of the community to speak out against violence in the city.

"We have a long road to go, but we're going to keep traveling it, we're going to keep coming out we will not be deterred by the violence. It's our obligation and our responsibility to love our neighbors. We're going to reclaim our city back. I'm confident and I believe in that,” said Lakesha Martin-Hargrett, Mothers Against Gun Violence member."

Okay, who would like to join me in forming an organization against mothers that raise their sons to become killers and rapists and thieves?

We could call it "MAIM". Men Against Incompetent Mothers. Use the likeness of Lakesha as our poster child for the breeding farmers who use the prison systems as birth control.

(P.S.: As the article explains, the rally was held to remember the victim of a fatal stabbing. So of course they blame guns. Get the feeling it was just another paid political announcement?)

Photo-Radar Van Driver Shot to Death

PHOENIX - "Phoenix police arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man who was operating a state police photo radar unit that was parked on a north Phoenix freeway to catch speeders, police said Monday.

The suspect was being questioned Monday morning, Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Andy Hill said in a news release. Police said more information would be released at a briefing later in the day.

DPS Director Roger Vanderpool called the killing "appalling (and) senseless."

No, "senseless" is taxing, and regulating, and fining the public until the rage becomes so pronounced as to be uncontrollable in some cases. Might want to check your history on that, Mr. Vanderpool. Some folks like to rebel against such atrocities.

"Arizona's groundbreaking photo enforcement program is controversial, with state lawmakers considering legislation to eliminate the program when the contract expires in 2010. Meanwhile, critics have proposed initiative measures to put a repeal on the 2010 ballot.

Other states have limited photo enforcement programs involving specific highways and construction zones, but Arizona was the first state with a statewide program.

Then-Gov. Janet Napolitano, now the U.S. Homeland Security secretary, had ordered DPS to begin developing the system in early 2007. She also was instrumental in writing the 2008 budget law that launched the program in September."

Ah but of course. Behind every great example of foolishness is a great fool. Like Mr. Janet.

Just for my own personal understanding as I try and get a handle on the teeny-blade marketplace.

We Get Letters

"All of us want to raise our glass the highest this week to the Navy SEALs who popped those three Somali pirates. And I'm sure you want to hear the real story of what happened. Especially because there is a revoltingly opportunistic and cowardly side to it. Guess which side Zero* is on.

Why, for example, did it take SEAL Team Six (aka DEVGRU, Navy Special Warfare Development Group, the Navy's equivalent of Delta Force) over 36 hours to get to the scene?

Because Zero refused to authorize the SEAL deployment for those 36 hours, during which the OSC - the on scene commander, Cmdr. Frank Castellano of the USS Bainbridge - repeatedly requested them.

Once the SEALs arrived - parachuting from a C-17 into the ocean near the ship - Zero then imposed Rules of Engagement (ROE) specifying the SEALs could not do anything unless the life of the hostage, Captain Richard Phillips, was in "imminent" danger.

Thus, when Capt. Phillips attempted to escape by jumping off the lifeboat into the ocean, the SEAL snipers had all four pirates (one later surrendered) sighted in and could have taken them out then and there - but they could not fire due to Zero's ROE restrictions.

When the SEALs approached the lifeboat in a RIB (rigid-hull inflatable boat) carrying supplies for Capt. Phillips and the pirates, the pirates fired upon them. Not only was no fire returned due to the ROE, but as the pirates were shooting at the RIB, SEAL snipers on the Bainbridge had them all dialed in. No triggers were pulled due to the ROE.

Two specific rescue plans were developed by Cmdr. Castellano and the SEAL teams. Zero personally refused to authorize them.

After the second refusal and days of dithering, Cmdr. Castellano decided he had the Operational Area and OSC authority to "solely determine risk to hostage" and did not require any further approval of the president.

Four hours later, the White House is informed that three pirates are dead and Capt. Phillips has been rescued unharmed. A WH press release is immediately issued, giving credit to the president for his "daring and decisive" behavior that resulted in such success.

Zero has absolutely no military knowledge or experience whatsoever. He demanded decisional control over the entire hostage drama to the last detail. All actions required his personal approval. He dithered like a coward while the world laughed at our warships flummoxed by four illiterate teenagers with AKs in a lifeboat.

Only when the Navy Commander decided to ignore his Pantywaist-in Chief and take action and responsibility himself, were the incredible skills of the SEALs put into play.

That Zero could cynically and opportunistically claim that his "bold" "calm" "tough" leadership was responsible should remind everyone that not a single action, not a single word of this man can be trusted. He is bereft of honesty and moral character. That's why he's Zero.

Let us raises a glass full of pride and gratitude to Navy Commander Frank Castellano, the Navy SEALs for their incredible competence, and our military."

Shame of it all is the fact that we know Commander Zero to be an incompetent fraud, but since the Yellowstream Media continues to focus upon hypnotizing Ma and Pa Kettle into believing him to be "heroic, calm, tough, and leg-tingle-inducing", hordes of braindead voters would re-elect the simpleton in a NY second.

* What some of the military are calling O-bama. The big ZERO.

And Remember...Torture Is Only Allowed If The Subject Is Innocent And Helpless...

...But never against, oh say, a moslem terrorist who has avowed to kill you, your family, and pretty much the entire country. And oh yeah, almost forgot; only if it's done by the hired help still calling itself Law Enforcement, who, after all, has a license to maim at will.

I feel for the guy. If I'd have been there and witnessed such a travesty he'd have had company alongside the road, but truthfully now, only after I ran out of golden bb's. BUT, it amazes me that this surprised him.

Really does. Thought everyone was in on the latest LE ruse about using dogs to nullify the 4th Amendment. You've nothing to hide? Sorry, the dog "says" there's a stash in the car pal and that means probable cause.

Thanks to David Codrea for alerting us all to yet another instance of traitorous brutality.

If Ya Can't Beat 'Em...License 'Em

So what DOES a Jurassic Press DO when they've been summarily beaten to the quick and exposed as the lying, subversive cretins they truly are? Why, get a White House job so's you can convince the idiot masquerading as President to LICENSE journaljizers!

"Obama’s appointee to the office of undersecretary of Defense for policy, Rosa Brooks (picture to the left: Fits), was once a reporter for the LA Times. Nowadays, she is busy trying to convince the People that it’s a great idea for the Federal government to bail out newspapers and grant special licenses to reporters."

The link to the above, The Liberal Heretic, was found at The War on Guns. Remember it, pass it along, or better yet both, so's the Fudd's among us aren't all that surprised when another liberty becomes permissible only after a licensing dog and pony show. And remember that face, too.

Hey, it's a small world.

Keeping That Edge

If you'd like to try out the easily negotiable website of a fellow patriot who began his business a scant 6 months back, has excellent customer service skills, a fine product line and comparable pricing, then there's not a damn thing holding you back from clicking into Knives Infinity.

Except of course downright wickedness. As for me, wickedness incarnate, I'd be snarfing up a Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker in a NY minute if there weren't remnants of several of them already clanging around in my tool box.

Usually I go hog wild with a new blade site to peruse from, but like most of us, I still haven't told my knives about my wife yet and am waiting for just the right moment.

Georgetown University Hid Religious Symbols at White House Request

"Georgetown University hid a religious inscription representing the name of Jesus during President Obama's address there Tuesday, has confirmed, because White House staff asked the school to cover up all religious symbols and signs while the president was on stage.

The monogram IHS, whose letters spell out the name of Jesus, and which normally perches above the stage in Gaston Hall where the president spoke, was covered over with what appeared to be black wood during the address."

Why, you ask?

So this gutless wonder can continue to kiss moslem ass. That's why. So Mr. Shitforbrains can disassociate himself from anything to do with Christianity, just as Mr. Bill Rodham did, so as to garner tens of millions of dollars from Arabs when the time comes to call in his markers and be paid by his true masters.

And why did Georgetown go along with so idiotic a request?

So they can claim title to chief lover of all things Obama. Mainly, of course, to make you and I sick to our stomachs so we avert our gaze and let 'em go about their perverted way with impunity.

Why Beaners Lie...

Mexico's President Cites Debunked Claim That Most Guns in Mexico Come From U.S.

"Mexican President Felipe Calderon on Wednesday made an assertion -- cited in the past by Mexico's U.S. ambassador and even by U.S. leaders, but debunked as a myth -- that 90 percent of the weapons intercepted in Mexico come from the U.S.

"I know that this is a very sensitive issue," Calderon said in an interview with NBC News. He also said that he will tell President Obama during his visit Thursday to Mexico City that the U.S. needs to clean up its drug problem if Mexico is going to be successful in its battle against the cartels.

The source of the problem was the huge demand for drugs in the United States the largest market in the world for drugs," he said. "The United States, you have a lot of traffic of drugs. You have a lot of distribution of drugs. You have a lot of corruption as well."

Calderon's comments came days after Auturo Sarukhan, the Mexican ambassador to the United States, appeared on CBS' "Face the Nation" and made the same claim that 90 percent of the weapons intercepted in Mexico come from the U.S.

On "Face the Nation," host Bob Schieffer asked Sarukhan for evidence to support his claim that most of the weapons seized are coming from the United States.

"The data we have is the one that we've been sharing with our counterparts in the U.S. government, ATF and the Justice Department, and other agencies that have been working with us to determine where those guns are coming from," Sarukhan replied.

For example, Sarukhan cited the Mexican border town of Reynosa where he said more than 250 assault weapons and half a million rounds of ammo were seized in November.

"These had just crossed over the border from the United States in Mexico," he said. "By tracing these weapons, by looking at the types of weapons, we're determining that most of these weapons are coming from the United States."

Yes indeed. These are the clueless misanthropes that couldn't run a government if their lives depended upon it, but at the end of the day this is nothing more than pure unadulterated deflection.

We call them corrupt, they call us corrupt. We say that their illegal drugs and immigrants are hurting us, they say that our weapons are hurting them.

Dazzling the problem with brilliance is out of the question, and why bother, since baffling the likes of Rodham, and Feinstein and Pelosi and Hussein can easily be accomplished with a mere modicum of bullshit.

California: The Litmus Test For Lunacy

by Ann Coulter

"California tried the Obama soak-the-productive "stimulus" plan years ago and was hailed as the perfect exemplar of Democratic governance.

In June 2002, the liberal American Prospect magazine called California a "laboratory" for Democratic policies, noting that "California is the only one of the nation's 10 largest states that is uniformly under Democratic control."

They said this, mind you, as if it were a good thing. In California, the article proclaimed, "the next new deal is in tryouts." As they say in show biz: "Thanks, we'll call you. Next!"

In just a few years, Democrats had turned California into a state -- or as it's now known, a "job-free zone" -- with a $41 billion deficit, a credit rating that was slashed to junk-bond status and a middle class now located in Arizona.

Democrats governed California the way Democrats always govern. They bought the votes of government workers with taxpayer-funded jobs, salaries and benefits -- and then turned around and accused the productive class of "greed" for wanting not to have their taxes raised through the roof.

Having run out of things to tax, now the California legislature is considering a tax on taxes. Seriously. The only way out now for California is a tax on Botox and steroids. Sure, the governor will protest, but it is the best solution ...

California was, in fact, a laboratory of Democratic policies. The rabbit died, so now Obama is trying it on a national level.

That's what the tea parties are about."

So, let's say in 3 years the destructive Obo and his merry men...Mr. Janet Napolitano notwithstanding until we know if the hormones kicked in...will have bludgeoned the country to a fair thee well and made plenty of room for REAL Conservatives to make a comeback.

Problem is...

Where the hell are they?

On Tea Party Day, Texas Governor Reserves The Right To Secede

"Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"

An animated Perry told the crowd at Austin City Hall — one of three tea parties he was attending across the state — that officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt.

Perry repeated his running theme that Texas' economy is in relatively good shape compared with other states and with the "federal budget mess." Many in the crowd held signs deriding President Barack Obama and the $786 billion federal economic stimulus package.

Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters' questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

"There's a lot of different scenarios," Perry said. "We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we're a pretty independent lot to boot."

He said when Texas entered the union in 1845 it was with the understanding it could pull out. However, according to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Texas negotiated the power to divide into four additional states at some point if it wanted to but not the right to secede.

Whoa boy! I guess if the LIBRARY says that secession is out of the question then Texans should stop dead in their tracks and get back to bowing and scraping like most of the country.

After all, losing that library card is simply too horrible to even imagine.

And not for nothing, but exactly how many northerners could be counted on heading south with kit, kaboodle, and bad intentions THIS time around?

Can you even begin to imagine the likes of the Brady Bunchers packing into Prius's and towing trailers containing their protest signs as they march to face Texans and those that'd fight WITH Texans?

Terrorist Quizification

This just in from Ride.

Seems like we'll have to closely monitor Mr. Janet Napolitano, at least until the hormones kick in to the max and her/his sex change is somewhat permanent.

Beaner Federales Discover One Helluva Magazine Cache

"Anahi Beltran Cabrera was seized during a routine patrol in Sonora state, near the U.S. border.

Officers recovered a vast cache of weapons including an anti-aircraft gun capable of firing 800 shots per minute, a number of rifles and an array of ammunition."

Sellier & Bellot ammo, two or three bolt actions, and a genuine machine gun a "vast-cache" do not make, but sweet moses on a pogo she had more mags than me.

Gives a guy something to aim for.

Wonder which U.S. gun shop sold her the old belt-fed? And if they have more lying around. Damn but it makes a fella wanna move to Texas or any of them other states where the shops sell full auto and "anti-aircraft" stuff like the Yellowstream Media has been telling us.

No word on whether or not the Federales also discovered a peekaboo-mask-cache, too. Maybe in a long hidden old supply of Zorro's. Yeah. Sounds about right.

(Sorry about the sucky formatting. Booger is off its feed again.)

Ralph Peters On The Audacity Of Rope

What to do with the pirates...along with hanging them, of course:

* Attack their harbors with land, sea and air power. Kill pirates, sink their vessels (including those dual-use fishing boats) and wreck their support infrastructure. The clans behind the pirates must feel sufficient pain to rein in their young thugs. The price for piracy should be stunning.

And we don't need to stay to rebuild Somalia. End the fix-it fetish now. We need to leave while their boats are still burning down to the waterline.

* Congress must forbid any shipping company or maritime insurer that pays pirates a ransom from doing business in American ports.

Our cargo trade is the most lucrative in the world. Force shippers to choose between us and the pirates. In the short term, it may make life uncomfortable for a few foreign crews. In the long term, a hard line will save money and lives.

Surely, if Congress can sanction those who do business with North Korea or Iran, we can punish those who fund pirates with millions of dollars in US currency.

* Train and arm crews. This would help somewhat, but we need to have realistic expectations. An armed crew can deter or defeat amateurs of the sort who attacked the Maersk Alabama last week. But skilled pirates will simply upgrade to rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine-guns and other weapons that can do severe damage to ships and create carnage.

We can't fix this problem on the cheap by giving merchant sailors a few shotguns and rifles -- although they need such arms for self-defense. Again, this is a military problem. Piracy always was. We're not exceptions to history.

We could shatter these bands of pirates, if we had the guts. But Obama would have to stop campaigning and start leading. He might even have to do something that his foreign fans wouldn't like.

The next move is yours, Mr. President."

It has become more than evident that the single thing this make-believe president does well is campaign well.

Like the smarmy used car salesman who wouldn't know a differential from a driver seat, talking the talk is of utmost importance, and imagine how successful a shady seller would be with a omnipresent teleprompter to get him through that tough transaction.

Sadly for Obo, to solve this problem he'll actually need to...gasp...DO SOMETHING. No rubberstamp congress to cover his back, no fawning media to lie along with him, since if its anything the Yellowstreamers like its a good old fashioned shivering of timbers.

This has fail written all over it.
