Ann Coulter Defends Her Non-Defense Of The Presidents Indefensible Choice For Secretary Of The Year...
Welcome to AnnCoulter.com
"One Web site defending Bush's choice of a graduate from an undistinguished law school complains that Miers' critics "are playing the Democrats' game," claiming that the "GOP is not the party which idolizes Ivy League acceptability as the criterion of intellectual and mental fitness." (In the sort of error that results from trying to sound "Ivy League" rather than being clear, that sentence uses the grammatically incorrect "which" instead of "that." Web sites defending the academically mediocre would be a lot more convincing without all the grammatical errors.)
Actually, all the intellectual firepower in the law is coming from conservatives right now — and thanks for noticing! Liberals got stuck trying to explain Roe v. Wade and are still at work 30 years later trying to come up with a good argument. But the main point is: Au contraire! It is conservatives defending Miers' mediocre resume who are playing the Democrats' game. Contrary to recent practice, the job of being a Supreme Court justice is not to be a philosopher-king. Only someone who buys into the liberals' view of Supreme Court justices as philosopher-kings could hold legal training irrelevant to a job on the Supreme Court..."
French. Ann said something in French and I didn't chunder so maybe it's NOT the language itself that makes me wanna strangle whomever is, with pursed widdle wips, speaking it, but the affectated synchophants of everything European who - wait -where was I?
Oh yeah, Ann's new column on the Presidents selection to replace one incompetant old bag with another is up and worth the look. I've stopped being so sensitive about the whole thing, for I've really come to the conclusion that he felt it necessary to replace Sandy Day with Harriet because someone told him that Ginsberg will be retiring soon and he's gotta sneak in another old broad before Feinstein convinces the Republican side of the aisle that she's been right all along and Bush knows nothing about women's shoes and that makes him even more insensitive than she imagined a modern human could possibly be.
Harriet will have all the right answers for Di-Fi and she'll agree to the point of tears with Schumer about modesty, and Joe Biden will be positively GLOWING as he finally gets to look smart compared to a Supreme Court Justice. She's a cinch, Joanie Ginsberg retires next year then W gives us Janice just to keep it in the J's. You thought Ginsberg's first name was Ruth? Nah, it's that woman thing of having so many names that it confuses everybody, so she uses her middle name instead and somebody JUST told that to Bush so Brownie's a lock for the next opening.
That is, as long as Jane Goodall is unavailable.
Oklahoma "Bomber" Keeping LGF And Michelle M. Awake At Night
Check for a fire, but not declare one. But isn't that what we bloggers do? Start a blaze where there isn't one yet in the hope of being right once in a while and therefore deserving of the kudo's on scooping the MSM? Do we ever report that we were wrong? Do we have to? Why am I asking so many dumb ass questions?
lgf: Zombie: Oklahoma Suicide Bombing Reports
wednesday, october 05, 2005
"LGF operative zombie has put together an overview of what’s known so far about the Suicide Bombing in Norman, Oklahoma, a case that is getting curiouser and curiouser—with news that the person who died in the blast, Joel Henry Hinrichs III, had a roommate who was a member of the Muslim Students Association, and may have attended a nearby mosque.
Here’s a video report at NewsOK.com, with an interview with the owner of a feed store where Hinrichs apparently tried to buy ammonium nitrate fertilizer (which can be used to build very powerful bombs) a few days before his death.
UPDATE at 10/5/05 7:09:14 pm:
I’m starting to think this was a work accident (lgf: search.)"
Wow. Charles wrote something long enough to nearly flesh out a decent paragraph. Must be those creative writing courses at work, huh? Seriously though, when big blogs get wind of a story do they EVER wait until additional and/or SOME facts are in before publishing? Would they stand for the same shoddy reporting from the MSM, or is it a given that all we really do is pass along gossip.
Hell, Drudge has been doing that very thing for years and he's still adored so I guess any old tale will do as long as it titillates.
The story in question does seem suspicious, but more suspicious than the dozens, no hundreds, of other reports that filter past everyones desk everyday? Oh, you say it MIGHT have a moslem connection and is therefor fair game. Gotcha.
Anyways, here's Michelle' "new" take on the matter:

Tech Buying Guide...Just Say No To iPod?
"You know, I really liked my iPod too. Nice little piece of hardware and it was extremely generous of the kind LC who sent it to me.
It’s a pity that the company making it are a bunch of con men.
Word to the wise: If you’ve got one and it’s working, steer clear of Apple’s “updates”. I made the mistake of thinking that they knew what they were doing, downloaded it and installed it. Big mistake. It promptly farked up the iPod. Wouldn’t even power up after that, just gave me one of those extremely informative and utterly useless Apple™ icons telling me that the drive was kaput.
Now, at first I wasn’t bothered too much. After all, I had all the songs safely stored on my hard drive and, after all, what do you expect from a company with an impressive market share of, what was it again, 0.0000003%?
I’d just re-format the damn thing and port my songs back onto it, no biggie.
Wrong again.
Oh, it went through the motions."
Sounds pretty much like the same scam being run in one way or another on just about anything to do with high-tech. The days of purchasing something and having the warranty regarded as sacrosanct are pretty much over unless, heaven forbid, Congress steps in and legislates customer service back into sales considerations.
Purchased my new Dell PC not all that long ago and customer service consists of speaking to someone to whom English is an imaginary language that can be spoken in so very many ways but never the same way twice. This kind of anti-service must save them a bundle on picayune items, with most people simply giving up if their PC is just slightly farked and learning to live with glitch after glitch because the alternative is speaking with Swahibby DumDum until you can actually feel your brain liquefying and dribbling from your ears. My very first home computer was purchased in late 1990 and the simple warranty meant someone actually came to my house, and that was fortunate for me because I bought a system with a crapped out motherboard. Was an IBM and the whole magilla was replaced without my having to spend a penny and why was it that I didn't get another IBM when I wanted to retiure my old Hewlitt-Packard? Oh yeah, I fell for the customer service angle hook, line, and snicker.
Anyway, let's all stand behind Misha and boycott iPod. There. Now ten percent of my readership will actually respond and that means Apple sells 10 fewer of their crappy product. Yeah baby, we rule.

Spanish Flu Now Bird Flu, Or Is It Latino-Hispanic-Avian-Influenza?
History once reminded us that while WW I killed 10 million people, the Spanish Flu killed 20 million. Now, it is no longer the Spanish Flu, and the death toll is much higher, probably due to the fact that they asked Mayor Nagin' for help with the numbers.
Why can't the Times refer to the disease by the name it has been called for nearly 90 years? Terribly UN-politically correct, dear chap. Inflating the numbers and listening to two quacks is one thing, but identifying an influenza as being of a particular ethnic origin is definitely a no-no, especially since Spanish has long since been replaced with Hispanic, Latino, and half a dozen other bastardizations over the past two decades.
These viruses evolve - sorry ID'ers but that's simply the truth - quite rapidly and pity the poor souls who knew so little of hygiene, and like Europe today, didn't even have the benefit of climate-controlled sick rooms in which to rest and fight the disease. Europe of 1918, Asia of 2005; take your pick as to the dirtiest place imaginable but for heavens sake don't visit either.
50 million. Somewhat more than the total of Europe's heat-related deaths since that time, but not anything to sneeze at even if it is a grossly exaggerated number.
And that's the point. To frighten you because when you're frightened you pay more attention and paying more attention means watching more news and reading more newspapers and boy oh boy but doesn't THAT sell laundry detergent like nobody's business.
Quickie From Ann Coulter...
So Then... What WAS Up With Those Stranded Buses In New Orleans...
Have a birds-eye-view at the strange goings on regarding Nagin's buses, for it seems that SOME of them WERE being used, but to move who or what to where?
Confusing and not at all amusing. Sending a FEW buses to pick up thousands of people would have caused a riot, so I suspect that the several buses in use were employed to move certain people and certain people only. Translation? Them with the connections or the cash, but that's the same thing isn't it?
And yes, MOST of New Orleans was NOT under water and there were certainly enough tall hotels and office buildings to house many hundreds if not thousands of people, but if you believe that the hotel owners would have allowed that then yer crazier than I look. Nagin owes his job to these folks and he waited too long to call for an evacuation because THEY said so, and he didn't use the thousands of hotel rooms available because the businesses would have had his ass on a platter if he even dared to broach the subject. Those facilities are for PAYING customers, not refugee riffraff. Bottom line is that there was plenty of dry-ground and we were led to believe otherwise by the Geraldo-like reporting.
Have a click-see; it's cool and they've done a lot of work looking into this. The caveat is, the dudes from Wizbang were involved and okay, they're as dumb as a box of rocks (Evolution is evil, Evolution is flawed, Evolution is the mark of the devil), but don't seemed to have screwed THIS pooch too badly.
"Why are Computers So Much Slower Than In YOUR Day, Daddy?"
WSJ.com - Portals By LEE GOMES
A Back-Cover BrushWith a High-Tech SeerAnd Some of His Pals: October 5, 2005
"While I recall once hearing something about not judging a book by its cover, I couldn't help but be bothered by some of the suppliers of blurbs on the back of the new Ray Kurzweil book, "The Singularity Is Near."
Mr. Kurzweil is well-known in technology circles as a flag waver for the "strong" school of artificial intelligence, or AI. This is the belief that future computers won't just become increasingly powerful but also increasingly like people.
The theme has been an enduring one for Mr. Kurzweil, who claims street cred on the topic because of his prior work as a computer scientist and inventor. An earlier Kurzweil book talked about "spiritual" machines. This new one promises fully human-like computers in 20 or so years.
But that's just the warm-up, the amuse bouche. By 2045, predicts Mr. Kurzweil, human and computer intelligence will merge -- the "singularity" of the title -- and become some grand new form of life, one that will then venture out into the universe.
It will be like the end of "2001," I suppose, though without the Richard Strauss soundtrack.
The first of the off-putting book blurbs comes from Marvin Minsky, the godfather of strong AI. As a consultant during the filming of "2001" during the 1960s, Prof. Minsky made predictions about how common HAL-like machines would be in 30 years. You know how this story ends: Computers can still barely open a printer port, much less the pod bay doors."
Precisely. There was a wise old man who watched 2001 A Space Odyssey with me, chortling throughout the movie about how marvelous the imagination could be, and how dumb the hands-on common sense was. Hard to find one mindset...and a movie is a collaboration that has found it's mindset...that features what can be as well as what should be. Spacestations will never have the spacious accommodations that Kubrick and Clark brought to mind, and of course computers got smaller, not bigger, so they had the future quite reversed, and were it not for the music and special effects, the movie would be even less fondly remembered through the tempering of hindsight. Critics hated it back then, most folks found it boring, but the single rallying cry of both was the idea that it was a portal to the future and we should revel in it because of that precious, never before seen glimpse of what was to come.
Bullshit. Everything was flat out wrong and so what's new. Computers today don't do anything different from 30, or 40 years ago, save for the speed by which they crash or lose whatever the important thing was we were working on. Smaller indeed but still dumb-ass adding machines. The event that the industry, the world, and the end user have all been waiting for isn't even on the horizon let alone the drawing board, because that event is the brilliant quantum leap that changes everything, and all we get are new versions of Windows that need more and more memory to do the basic tasks, and we DO need the memory because opening AOL for example, means wading through so very many graphic-heavy advertisements that a gig is barely sufficient anymore.
I won't dwell on how America On Line has become more insidious than the spam and adware we so detest, but I DO remember when logging on took 4 megs of memory and a 2400 bps modem to do what a hundred times that number cannot do anywhere near as well today.
And it'll get worse, not better. Blaring, glaring "buy-me's" will be the rage forever and a day, and just wait until they have the capability to home in on you while you're OFFLINE. Because THAT is what they're working on, that is what they want, and we trust personal computers LESS today than yesterday because of what they've done to the process.
Take the time to read the entire article, for it is well written and makes sense and that in and of itself is a bonus nowadays.
Something's Strange, Can't Put My Finger On It...
New York Post Online Edition: news
October 5, 2005 -- A Palestinian mother on a suicide mission slashed a female Israeli soldier in the face at a West Bank checkpoint yesterday and was killed by gunfire.
The terrorist Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade said the mother of five, Haifa Hindiya, was avenging the killing of two militants by Israel troops last week.
Hindiya, 36, arrived early yesterday at the Hawara checkpoint near Nablus, pulled a long knife out of her handbag and charged the soldier, according to a Palestinian eyewitness.
Hindiya knocked the soldier to the ground and slashed her before a second soldier wrestled the weapon away, the witness said.
But Hindiya regained the knife. Israeli officials said troops opened fire at her legs, thinking she was carrying concealed explosives.
Hindiya was seriously wounded and died at the scene, witnesses said.
"She was on her way to committing a martyrdom attack," the Al Aqsa group said. "We are not committed to the truce and we will not respect it."
Yesterday, Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz warned that another terrorist group, Hamas, has set itself up as a shadow government in the Gaza Strip since the Israeli withdrawal of troops and settlers.
"I, unfortunately, don't see the Palestinian Authority taking any serious steps to disarm the terror organizations," he said.
Isn't Al-Aqsa the name of some frilly French imported bottled water? You'll forgive me for not keeping up with such things, for I haven't been abroad in a few years and do think it's time to bring someone onboard who is familiar with both Europe and the Middle East. Was quite hilarious to visit and indeed live in various countries only to come home to the states and listen to the bilgewater that passed for commentary by supposedly informed columnists, and I'll admit to suffering from Well, duh, dat's what I hoid syndrome as much as the rest of the chairborne commandos that prattle about what the rest of the world has been up to.
During my last visit to Israel I made an offhanded comment about the military consisting of men...everywhere I looked there were guys handling check points and the like, and the answer to my dumbass query was that under normal circumstances females are not at the cutting edge of the combat line and how dare you believe we'd treat our women this way. Now, sure there were plenty of gals handling the the Gaza-Surrender, but that was to be expected as the only foe for miles around were Jews reluctent to abandon their homes, but what in the name of all blue blazes was a woman doing guarding a checkpoint?
I'm a born and bred NY'er and were I ever to cut through a dimly lit alley in the dead of night...believe me, it happens...and was accosted by a roving gang of those silly enough to want me to accidentally fall over on them, I'd want the biggest, ugliest, toughest Irish cop in the neighborhood rushing to my defense. From the Apple to the Corps, and it didn't matter what fighting hole I was in, when it hit the fan and they were coming through the wire like lemmings to a cliff edge, I also wanted the biggest, toughest son of a bitch on the face of the earth guarding my fat ass like I'd guard his.
There are times when diversity sucks, and those at the tip of the spear know that the single most important thing to do is to die as slow as possible, thus allowing the line to hold until others arrive to plug the gap. And how far CAN I divert my insane ramblings from the tale of a lunatic Mother attacking an Israeli soldier?
It's good to know that the religion of peace has opened it's crazed culthood club of killers to include the distaff, such is the case when you're running out of men insane enough to believe in all this kill-an-infidel-and win-a-trip-to-cloud 9-with-a-scazillion-virgins, for that means the full spectrum of such an appalling gene pool gets the chlorination it so rightly deserves, but how in the name of all that's kosher did they let this nutcase regain her weapon?
And shooting the woman in the legs is an incredibly silly thing to do because firearms are not designed to wound, they are designed to kill, and regardless of what Hollywood says, leg or arm shots usually don't do a damned thing to stop a determined person in their tracks.
Just a sad state of affairs when even the sensible Jews are mucking things up.
It's All In The Chromosomes...
New York Post Online Edition: postopinion
by George Will
"It is important that Miers not be confirmed unless, in her 61st year, she suddenly and unexpectedly is found to have hitherto undisclosed interests and talents pertinent to the court's role. Otherwise the sound principle of substantial deference to a president's choice of judicial nominees will dissolve into a rationalization for senatorial abdication of the duty to hold presidents to some standards of seriousness that will prevent them from reducing the Supreme Court to a private plaything useful for fulfilling whims on behalf of friends.
The wisdom of presumptive opposition to Miers' confirmation flows from the fact that constitutional reasoning is a talent; a skill acquired, as intellectual skills are, by years of practice sustained by intense interest. It is not usually acquired in the normal course of even a fine lawyer's career. The burden is on Miers to demonstrate such talents, and on senators to compel such a demonstration or reject the nomination.
Under the rubric of "diversity," nowadays, the first refuge of intellectually disreputable impulses, the president announced, surely without fathoming the implications, his belief in identity politics and its tawdry corollary, the idea of categorical representation. Identity politics holds that one's essential attributes are genetic, biological, ethnic or chromosomal, that one's nature and understanding are decisively shaped by race, ethnicity or gender. Categorical representation holds that the interests of a group can only be understood, empathized with and represented by a member of that group.
The crowning absurdity of the president's wallowing in such nonsense is the obvious assumption that the Supreme Court is, like a legislature, an institution of representation. This from a president who, introducing Miers, deplored judges who "legislate from the bench."
Minutes after the president announced the nomination of his friend from Texas, another Texas friend, Robert Jordan, former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, was on Fox News proclaiming what he and, no doubt, the White House that probably enlisted him for advocacy, considered glad and relevant tidings: Miers, said Jordan, has been a victim. She has been, he said contentedly, "discriminated against" because of her gender.
Her victimization was not so severe that it prevented her from becoming the first female president of a Texas law firm as large as hers, president of the State Bar of Texas and a senior White House official. Still, playing the victim card clarified, as much as anything has so far done, her credentials, which are her chromosomes and their supposedly painful consequences. For this we need a conservative president?"
More than a few staunch conservatives have been hoping that Mz Miers either voluntarily withdraws or is rejected by the selection committee, but I really don't see either scenario coming to pass. The President remains behind her all the way, this is a job worth dying for, and the rank and file Republicans will grumble but swallow. We've also mentioned the fact that being a member of the Supreme Court is not an entry level position to be handed to just anyone, and George is in eloquent agreement that this seemingly very nice lady is in far, far over her head.
But it DOES make the court diversified. Now there will be a relative dummy alongside the geniuses and what is more evidence of true diversification than dumb sitting alongside smart, just like back home in Texas? It's too bad she is not black because that would have made her the perfect candidate. Check the records, and check them well, for who knows; there might very well be that one one-thousanth of negro blood in her lineage and that would render it a done deal.
Hmmm...Condi...Lez Be Friends?
The former Miss Minnesota is "single" and "beautiful," Rosen said, encouraging the secretary of state to get in touch. The Sept. 27 interview from Port au Prince, Haiti, started out seriously enough, with Rice expounding on Haitian elections and security, and on Iran as well. But at the end, Rosen popped a wheelie, and the discussion, posted on Radaronline.com, ended thusly:
ROSEN: "All right. I close with a gift for you. You met this person once, I believe, but you really, I think, ought to know each other because this woman is, I think you'll have an interest in knowing her. She is one of our Fox News anchors in New York. Her name is Lauren Green. She is brilliant, she's beautiful, she's African-American, she's single and she's a concert pianist in her spare time.
RICE: My goodness.
ROSEN: And she asked me to give you her CD, and I promised her that I would.
RICE: That's perfect.
ROSEN: And here's her doing a number of different classical pieces.
RICE: Well, that's special.
ROSEN: So there you have it.
RICE: Thank her very much, and I look forward to seeing her sometime.
ROSEN: All right. She's going to want to hear from you.
RICE: And maybe even play dual piano sometime.
Just so you know, Rice has been accompanied to state dinners by NFL chief of football operations Gene Washington, who maintains the two are "just friends."
When asked if Green is a lesbian, a Fox News spokeswoman said, "I don't know."
Taranto Doesn't Get-It Either...
OpinionJournal - Best of the Web Today
BY JAMES TARANTO Tuesday
What Crime Problem?USA Today's DeWayne Wickham weighs in on the Bill Bennett kerfuffle with a column that tries to minimize the crime problem among black Americans:
"He talked, hypothetically, about aborting all black babies as a way of cutting the crime rate. While he hasn't said as much, I suspect Bennett did so because he knows that blacks make up a disproportionately high percentage of the inmates in our jails and prisons.
Of the men and women behind bars last year, 910,200 were black; 777,500 were white and 395,400 were Hispanic, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. To the casual observer--and anyone who is looking for some data to back up racist views--this might suggest that Bennett used an apt example. . . .
The Bureau of Justice Statistics' figures represent only those who were jailed for a crime. But according to the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports, more than twice as many whites as blacks (6.7 million to 2.6 million) were arrested in 2003 for committing a crime. Whites made up 70.6% of all people arrested that year-- and 60.5% of those arrested for violent crime. Blacks totaled 27.0% of all arrests and accounted for 37.2% of the people arrested for committing a violent crime. . . ."
Wickham assumes that arrest statistics are a better proxy for the crime rate than incarceration statistics, and concludes from the disparity between the two sets of statistics that the real problem is a justice system biased against blacks.
But Wickham's interpretation of the statistics is either misguided or disingenuous. For one thing, blacks are a small minority of the total population (12.9% as of 2000, vs. 69.1% non-Hispanic whites). Wickham doesn't adjust for this when he asserts that "more" whites are arrested than blacks.
If we adjust Wickham's figures to account for overall proportion of the population, we find that the average black person was 6.3 times as likely as the average white person to be behind bars in 2004 and 3.3 times as likely to be arrested for a violent crime in 2003. Either way you measure it, blacks have a far higher crime rate than whites.
Boys, boys, no need to argue, you're both wrong. Committing a crime? What crime? Being hauled into court for not paying a dog license? Speeding? Driving under the influence?
How's about rape? Armed robbery? Murder? Selling illegal drugs? Um, ya think that certain lesser crimes can be pled out while heinous ones require some jail time? Not even suggesting that caucasians are angels, but anyone who is not aware of black crime in the United States needs to spend an evening in Harlem. And don't hand me the "poor people commit violent crimes" bullshit, either. There was this little thing called the Depresssion and you can look it up online if there isn't a decent public library nearby. The poor back then didn't rape and rob and murder at anywhere NEAR the rate of today's black population.
The rest of yesterdays Best of the Web focuses upon the Bushie & Harriet show with none of the linked essays having a clue as to what they're talking about. It doesn't matter HOW sweet Harriet is to children and small animals, what matters is the irrefutable fact that she is unqualified for the job. She will ALWAYS be unqualified for the job because she did not spend her professional life becoming a constitutional scholar and there's TONs of cool old lady's out there but relatively damn few respected conservative jurists.
The Supreme court is not an entry level position, nor is it something you can learn about as you go, so she either listens to Scalia and Thomas or sits there twiddling her thumbs. My guess is she'll do just fine aping the republican line, but it would have been FAR better to give the job to one of the highly qualified geniuses who would have made us proud.
Yes, Mz Harriet will eventually help to overturn Roe, but we all wanted substance not just yes-sir, anything you say, sir, I'm on it sir...

Mike Mussina Pitches Yanks Over Halo's
This is such an amazing game; Alex Rodriguez owns Colon and went 0-4 with 2 strikeouts, rookie Robinson Cano drives in 3 runs, and the usually stingy Mariano Rivera gives up a run in the 9th to prove that there's no accounting for what can happen in baseball.
Keeping that in mind, I want to say that since the least consistent of the Yankee pitchers breezed through the Angel lineup things should be all downhill for the Bombers, but the pesky Halo's could easily awaken and clobber Wang today.
Gotta love this game.

Why Yes, The Brits SHOULD Change Their Flag...

Why not? They've been bending over backwards to please the moslems so what's a little thing like a flag or a national identity? They're all just one big EU aren't they?
CNN is running a poll, and let's hope the Brits wise up and drop trow before the cultists threaten to harm them again. It's either that or grow a set and such a thing ain't happening anytime soon, so how's about this as a decent template for a new flag?
"Chris Doyle, director of the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding, said Tuesday the red cross was an insensitive reminder of the Crusades.
“A lot of Muslims and Arabs view the Crusades as a bloody episode in our history,” he told CNN. “They see those campaigns as Christendom launching a brutal holy war against Islam.
“Muslim or Arab prisoners could take umbrage if staff wore a red cross badge. It’s also got associations with the far-right. Prison officers should be seen to be neutral.”
Doyle added that it was now time for England to find a new flag and a patron saint who is “not associated with our bloody past and one we can all identify with.”
Okayyyyyy, that seems fair. And while you're at it do away with the ragheads walking around with, well, rags on their heads because that's evocative of a bygone age when the Arabs and the Christians tangled on a regular basis, drop the veils for the gals, and the uulululu'ing because let's face it, the Crusaders hadda hear a lot of that shit so time to learn a new Cheer. Let's see, oh yeah, bathing would be real swell, and this chopping off people's heads you should think long and hard about as well as walking around with explosives and detonating them around baby carriages and schools and marketplaces. And really now, following the teachings of a drunken pedophile is offensive to modern people, so how's about dropping the whole allah-made-me-do-it schtick and get with the program of living LIKE FUCKING HUMAN BEINGS.

RIP Nipsey
NEW YORK - As the "poet laureate of television," actor and comedian Nipsey Russell delivered his signature four-line verse during frequent guest appearances on TV game shows and talk shows.
Russell died Sunday afternoon at Lenox Hill Hospital at age 80, said his longtime manager Joseph Rapp. He had been suffering from cancer.
Although widely known for his television career — including appearances on "The Dean Martin Show," "Hollywood Squares," "The $50,000 Pyramid," and "The Match Game" — Russell also received critical acclaim for his role as the Tin Man in the 1978 film version of "The Wiz."
Russell also appeared in the films "Nemo" in 1984, "Wildcats" in 1986 and "Posse" in 1993.
Born in Atlanta, he settled in New York after graduating from the University of Cincinnati and serving as an Army captain in Europe during World War II, Rapp said.
Russell launched his television career in 1961 as Officer Anderson in the television series "Car 54, Where are You?" He also appeared in the 1994 film version.
All of the big name acts wanted Nipsey as a guest star or opening act, and you knew it was a class presentation if the old Nips was on the card. You led a terrific long life and made millions smile, Nipsey, so enjoy whatever reward you have coming and save me a seat.
Baseball Playoffs
First blood. That's what NY needed against a run till you drop Angels team. Something to slow them down, put them back on their heels.
What Joe Torre gave us was Mike Mussina. The same tired armed, spotty Mussina who'll never be the pitcher he once was, but is being rewarded via the good old boy network over younger, more athletic pitchers.
Either Shawn Chacon or Chien Ming Wang was the far better choice for so many reasons. Both bounce off the mound and can negate small ball, the Angels penchant for bunting, and both have better pickoff moves than Mussina and that takes away the Halo's base stealing abilities as well.
Have I mentioned that both pitchers have also had a better season...pitching?
The tomorrow's-another-day Yankees needed a post-season wakeup call, and pushing Mussina back to a Yankee Stadium start...if indeed he was even given a start...would have been the perfect eye opener for Torre's slow starters. It would have sent a message to the entire team that results were going to count more than seniority, that winning was to be favored over reputation.
The Yankees can still win this series, but even if they do it will be a grind it out, come from behind mess that leaves them ill prepared to take on the Red Sox who shouldn't have all that much of a problem with the offensively challenged White Sox. Randy Johnson, Chacon and Wang are a formidable 2, 3, and 4, with Small waiting in the wings should he be needed as well, but it's smallball that the Angels excel at, and it's small thinking that permeates the NY dugout.
Yankees in 5, IF Randy Johnson wins Game 3. Playing the Angels on their turf is like college football...seas of clamoring, vibrant red-clad fans, waving, stomping, shouting and doing whatever they can to make the old guys uncomfortable, and the WORST possible starter to face them down was the one picked to do so.
How'd the Yankees even make it to the playoffs? Johnson, Chacon, And Small. Johnson isn't even starting until Game 3, the still recuperating Wang who needed the extra rest is starting Game 2 over Chacon, and that's all you need to know about the teams "brain trust". It will be interesting to see if the team can once again win in spite of the horrid managing.
A Pox Upon BOTH Of Their Houses...
SEATTLE (AP) - Strippers who venture too near the laps of their dollar-bill-waving patrons have exposed an unexpected prudish streak in this West Coast bastion of tolerance and liberalism. Fearing a spate of new cabarets after a federal judge struck down the city's 17-year moratorium on new strip...
Let's see now; they're loony lefties and it can't be a religious thang, so what could make them want to put certain joints out of business? Time for a Messenger Phone Tap?
"Greetings, Mr. Mayor, it is I, Ali Bubba Hamastajoohatah. Yes, yes indeed, Allalu to you as well dear sir, and may I inquire as to what fruits our efforts have been bearing of late?"
"Hmm, yes, yes the judge did put a momentary crimp in our plans but I've assured the architects that they're good to go with plans for the new Islamic Memorial Centers For The Preservation Of Promoting How Truly Peaceful Muslims Really Are And Here's Proof Positive The Bush Administration Hired Mercenaries To Blow Up The World Trade Center Emporium, And Discount House Of Worship..."
The Brain Police...
We Are The Brain Police
And how cool is that when considering the fact that today it's not even what you SAY that can get you in hot water, but what you were THINKING as well:
"Bill Bennett is standing firm in the face of an attack launched by David Brock's foul MediaMatters.org site. In a week-end roundup, MM clarified what it found invidious about Bennett's comments regarding abortion, crime and race, which we analyzed Friday (italics in original, boldface ours):
Bennett and his defenders have seized on Bennett's original statement that it would be "impossible, ridiculous, and morally reprehensible" to actually abort all black babies. But that isn't the issue; of course everyone understands that Bill Bennett doesn't want to abort all black babies. The issue is that Bennett, upon thinking "crime rate," immediately thought of black people. The issue is that Bennett thinks and speaks of crime as an issue of race.
Here we see the totalitarian mindset of the politically correct left. "The issue," it turns out, isn't just what Bennett said but what Bennett thinks. Yes, MediaMatters is accusing Bill Bennett of thoughtcrime. It's "1984," and Big Brock is watching. Fortunately, Brock and his force are more Keystone Kops than Thought Police, and therefore this column, like Bennett, is not afraid to entertain some forbidden thoughts.
It is a fact that blacks in America have a far higher violent crime rate than nonblacks. MediaMatters and politically correct folks everywhere do not want you to think about this fact, at least if you are white. But which is a bigger problem, the fact itself or white people's thinking about it?
To explore that question, consider the practical implications of the high black crime rate. If you are white, it affects you only insofar as you come into contact with black people. Whites often respond to their knowledge of the higher black crime rate by engaging in what we might term defensive stereotyping, or what some have called "rational discrimination": avoiding black neighborhoods, crossing the street to avoid an approaching black man, etc."
Well, as always James Taranto of OpinionJournal - Best of the Web Today makes a good point even as he is missing another, but hey, it's not like there are THAT many rennaisance men to go around, you know?
"...If you are white, it affects you only insofar as you come into contact with black people...
ONLY insofar? So what does one do, James, and stop with crossing the street to remove oneself from a black man's approach, what does one do when the black man follows. Or breaks into the apartment or house or condo and mugs you. Can't move yourself, your family, or your house across the street every time you catch a whiff of fried chicken heading towards the door, so it is ludicrous to assert that black crime affects whites only from contact, when that's the very problem to begin with because one cannot always run away. Only Beaten? Only Raped? Only Robbed? Only Killed? Just cross the street?
Now, I appreciate it when ANY big media maven says something even approaching the truth, and shouldn't really be upset with James for waffling with the "cross and all is well" flipfloppery, but there wouldn't BE a high instance of black crime were it that easy. So it affects whites, browns, pinks and purples in MANY, many ways when a particular group runs rampant. Costs in property, costs in lives and costs in a loss of the simple feeling we all like to have, the feeling of safety.
But crossing places at least some of the blame on non-blacks - hey, all ya gotta do is stay out of their neighborhoods or jaywalk now and again and all is cool -so I do suppose it's always good to leave a bolt hole should the PC Police arrive for a chat.
Fox News Token Black Liberal Contributor Juan Williams also raises Jimmy's Hackles, and a click to Best of The Web will return smart dividends.
PS: Thank the good lord for Florida, and Texas, and Arizona, and Georgia, and Tennessee and all of the states that allow people to fight back rather than forcing them to run and be cut down from behind like dogs. Hundreds of criminal acts are stopped dead in the water every day when the legally armed citizen is "allowed" to protect home and hearth, kith and kin.
Believe What You Will..This One He Mailed In

Bullshit. This is posted over at the National Review's office or so they tell me, and WANT has nothing to do with it. WE got the guy HIS gig because we believed he had something else besides Karl Rove hanging between his legs, and Harriet might very well turn out to be acceptable, but she wasn't the best person for the job.
I'm proud to know this strong woman who literally crawled from a sick bed and nearly had to be carried into the polls just so she could vote. She trusted and believed in me when I offered Bush as the right man for the job and it's hard to justify such loyalty after yet another round of his ducking a fight.
And Perhaps The Cruelest Cut Of All...
When a President Is Not Spoiling for a Fight
By RICHARD W. STEVENSON In choosing Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court, President Bush revealed he has no appetite now for an all-out ideological fight.
I WAS calming down, but to see this, a chuck-under-the-chin from of ALL places...
Why IS Bubba So Visible Again?
The Bill Clinton For U.N. Ambassador bandwagon fizzled when RodHam caught him reciting in front of a full length mirror "I did NOT have sex with that country", but she realized that if there's ANY life in the old poon-chaser she should put it to good use.
Now, forget for a moment that the man never garnered more than 48% of the vote and owes both terms to a big-eared fella named H. Ross Perot, Hilly knows he can still rake in the big bucks at fundraisers where diehard lefty's will pay through the nose to see such an endangered species, namely an electable Democrat. So it's suck it up and let yourself be seen again, Bill, and try not to die until I'm elected.
Oh and yes, his Doctor HAS told him to cut back on whippin' little Willy, interns of any sort are banned in Casa Clinton, so it's either sniff around for the Bush twins or make like he's actually interested in getting the old bag a new gig.

Misha Is Plenty Pissed Too...
"Of course, self-appointed High Priest of Conservatism and Keeper of the Kool-Aid Mixer of Doom, Hugh Hewitt, is telling us all that he knows better than anybody else and that we should just shut up and be happy, lest we suffer the horrible fate of being called “un-conservative” by St. Hewitt. Nothing new there either. He is truly a legend in his own mind, and his delusions of adequacy never fail to amaze. How he manages to bear the burden of being the Smartest Conservative Alive is truly beyond our ken, being the mere mortal that we are."
Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler
Damn George, You Promised
Michelle Malkin has links to what the heavy hitters are saying, and if you want a clear view of how the hive-mind is handling this news then scoot on over. Ann Coulter's weekly column is due out on Wednesday and I'm quite certain that she'll have shaken off the sedative they forced upon her by then, and that her response to this will be an interesting read.
Ankle Biting Pundits seem more stunned than anything else, and also has links to others who are trying to recover from is deemed to be a slap in the face from the man everyone fought so hard to elect then reelect. Pat Hynes DOES have an interesting take that the swell of outrage may reach such epic proportions as to force Ms Miers to withdraw, but talk about a show of weakness, whew.
And since I myself have calmed down somewhat since first seeing the Nanny and the Perfesser stand in front of the entire country and kiss up to the liberals, I'm more certain than ever about one thing: Either Ginsberg or Jones or both have let it be known that this will be their last session and W then gets to bring in the real deal sometime early next year.
What else makes any sense? I figured, well, first the vanilla man in Roberts then call for the mad dog conservative, but if anything this is a worse selection than Johnny-Who-Can't-Even-Control-His-Brattty-Son. I vividly recall JFK JR. saluting his father's grave and this wimpy little BOY IN FRICKIN FAIRY SHORTS can't hold a candle to the memory of such a well-raised child, but here I go again with wimpy John, and he's a done deal so get over it.
It's because I'm simply too frickin loyal and cannot see the forest for alla them trees but I STILL think that there MUST be a master plan in all of this. Harriet Miers? On the Supreme Court? Does she have incriminating videos locked in a bank vault somewhere or what?
Bottom line George, is that as a veteran I'm loyal but extra pissed. There were a lot of us who couldn't vote for a man with a less than honorable discharge such as Kerry, and those of us who supported the Swifties help push you over the top. We deserve better, George, we deserve what you promised. Wasn't the sun and the moon and the stars either, just be a conservative and defend the constitution.
Like you said you were gonna.
Nanny and The Perfesser
Ms Miers, White House Council, Deputy Chief of Staff, and diaper-changer extraordinaire, was nominated for Associate Justice, conservative groups are howling to the stars, and well they should.
Personally, I’ve given the President the benefit of the doubt throughout the Roberts fiasco, but the kid gloves are coming off. I WANT to believe that Nanny M is a strict constructionist, I WANT to revel in her appointment as replacement for Whishy-Washy Sandy, but for the love of all that’s holy, what was he THINKING?
With all of the well qualified jurists available, he picks HER? Have his cajones shrunk THAT far? Is Gonzales that much of a liberal in hiding wimp, and the rest of them far too controversial that W had to ask Grand Ma-Ma if she’d like to be fitted for some nifty robes?
Conservatives voted for this man because of the PROMISE, because of the CONTRACT, and he gives us a guy who can’t even control his bratty son, and then this?
Have Joanie Ginsberg and I -Wanna-Be John Paul Jones sent him covert emails professing their desire to retire after this session and he knows the grunt work is yet to come so these vanilla wafers were okay?
I mean, there IS a plan here, right? And we’re all too far out of the loop or too stupid to see it, right? He wouldn’t have TWICE made it into office with the promise of no more touchy-feely Supremes and then just upped and told us all to go fuck ourselves, right?
More on this as I recover from the shock.
Victor Davis Hanson Gives Us A Bit Of "What-If"
Saddam promises more bounties for suicide bombers in Rather interview
In a much publicized second interview with CBS’s Dan Rather, Iraqi’s President Saddam Hussein insisted that continual American pressure had little effect. “Look at Afghanistan. Here it is almost October 2005, and America is still fighting the Taliban, so I don’t think they will dare come to our Iraq. But we are ready to be martyred nonetheless.
Senators exasperated with Bush inaction.
On the domestic scene both conservative and liberal spokesmen voiced disappointment with President Bush’s apparent vacillation and willingness to let Saddam violate the sanctions and U.N. inspections. A group of three Democratic senators — Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry — reminded the president that the Senate had voted overwhelmingly over three years ago to authorize the military removal of Saddam Hussein, and suggested that the old “Jim Baker/Frank Carlucci realpolitik” was at work again, or as Sen. Clinton put it, “Just pump that oil and it’s O.K. with us that he does pretty much what he wants to his people.”
It's funny and so very true. Everyone agreed that SoDam had stockpiles of dangerous weapons and wanted him and them gone. But then we all know that the Dimocrats' job is to act as contrarian and complain about ANY scenario that might have taken place. Little kids who never got enough attention from Mommy, and making up for it in spades.
So Since We're Moving, Wanna Change Your Concealed Carry Gun?

Lisa says no...she'll stick with the Glock 27 in .40 caliber. Using only Winchester Ranger T's, of course. "9mm is for sissy's who can't handle the recoil, .45's are for soldiers who have no say in the matter (yes, the military is dumping the 9mm for something that can actually stop the enemy), old men reliving their glory days, or wannabe-never-was's who think they should act like daddy."

FRENCH DENYING ISRAELI REPORTS THAT ARAFAT IS DEAD..
Yes, it's coming up on the one year anniversary of the death of old King Rat, and we'll focus upon it more as the date approaches, but call your attention to this disturbing report from ABC news, that we published on November 4, as well as the following:
FRENCH DENYING MESSENGER REPORTS THAT ARAFAT IS DEAD..
The fact remains that no one from the civilized world saw the body and after reviewing the evidence we are unconvinced that Yasser really died. He was syphoning MILLIONS from the U.N. Food-For-Terrorists monies, then suddenly falls ill and is gone. Yeah right. The picture was of the old goat fucker's arrival in Paris to seek help from the cadre of famous French Physicians, and he is seen hiding his dismay at learning of Madam Curie's death.
It's Getting To Be That Time Of Year Again...

2 Marines Held, Rebels Say; U.S. Military in Iraq Dubious
Almost 8 months ago to the day, moslem terrorists (are there any other kinds. Of moslems I mean)) were posting pictures on an Action-Hero toy and claiming they had captured an American soldier. The lefty press fell for it hook, line, and slinker, and here's hoping it's just the same old story of liberal loonies who've been wishing hoping and praying for such a real tale to come down the pike, and doing the WRONG thing by giving these murderer's ink.
Here's a look back at how we reported upon this "story", and man was it a riot readin the moonbats screaming that THIS MUST STOP!!!. I agree wholeheartedly; the toys were for kids, not moslems looking to scare the lefties:

So Why Does A Guy Blowing Himself Up Real Good Make Michelle Malkin So Interested?
Michelle tries, she really does, and so far all of her digging has turned up a rather average white guy named Joel Henry Hinrichs. ALL serial killers, presidential and celebrity assassins MUST be referred to by using their middle name, so stay tuned as this suicide bombing might mean (Michelle hopes), gasp, the dude, gasp, was a religious cult-killer!

SUICIDE BOMBER IN OKLAHOMA
"Strange, disturbing news out of Norman, Oklahoma via Yahoo/AP:"
"One person was killed in an explosion near a packed football stadium at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday night in what authorities said appeared to be a suicide.
The blast, in a traffic circle about 100 yards from Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, could be heard by some in the crowd of 84,000, but university President David Boren said no one inside the stadium was ever in danger."
Come on , Shelly, use those Fox News Contributor credentials to get to the bottom of this or at least fill us in on why, to you at least, it is so strange and disturbing. Or would that be asking for something akin to journalistic integrity?
Commie Newspaper Prints Commie Story...

So where's the 'news' in this? None really, they've been pulling such shit for decades but even I'm forced to admit that if you're going to be a biased lefty farkle then you might as well be a funny lefty farkle.
So okay, there's the obligatory vietnamese flag being worn by an asian woman who is leading a bunch of kids down the street in San Francisco as they protest "war". Saw the same commie crap decades ago, but click here to see the REAL story: Anatomy of a Photograph
Found the link at: Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler , and while I'm at it let me explain why I don't do the "hat-tip" schtick. Years ago there was a syndicated comic strip written by a gentleman named Hatlo and titled "There Outta Be A Law" He'd offer a Hatlo's Hat-Tip to readers who submitted suggestions he'd use, and to employ the hat-tip deal without referring to from whence it came is bad theater. Not that I don't miss a link myself now and again, but after about 5000 entries on 3 blogs for the last year I've strove to offer credit where credit is due, have lamentably dropped the ball on occasion, but would NEVER outright steal another guy's world famous line.
Ali-Ver Twisted
"...When we got home, "liberated" Gaza would still be overcrowded and poor, and there would still be no jobs for most of its people."
LMAO. The Washington Post believes this obviously ghostwritten piece by a likely imaginary Paleswine to be heart tugging rather than the pathetic, clueless Homeric (Simpson) Duh it really is.
EVERY blog in creation was wondering how the cultists would fend for themselves, where they would obtain meaningful employment - and for the lefites out there, NO, killing babies is not a real job - or who would even float them on a mideast form of welfare until by some magical intervention one of their own started an actual business or two.
Now, the UN is sending tons of cash to Paleo Stinia World but to believe ANY of it would fall into the hands of the truly needy is to believe it would be given to them by the Tooth Fairy subbing for Santa. Hamas and Abbas need that cash for their guns and rockets and kill-the-young-mother-in-the-marketplace explosives, and the PLAN was for the invading PaleSwines to starve and begin eating one another until the UN could be bamboozled for even MORE cash and food and energy credits and French pedophiles who only go on 'humanitarian' relief junkets if there are 4-Star hotels with one of the Iron Chefs running the kitchen.
And it'll happen. They'll be eating one another in the streets...dead or alive, these PaleSwines, and the next step will be a Save-The-Pales concert featuring popular rock stars and Hollywood celebrities.
In the meantime, the "author" of this story says:
"...the energy and enthusiasm of ordinary Palestinians has not been matched elsewhere in the world, not even by our own leaders. Now, only a couple of weeks later, Gazans' yearning for a better future has all but ended. A feeling of hopelessness has returned."
So what's an 'ordinary' PaleoWorlder? And listen to me, oh imaginary one created by the Washington Post, an unmatched level of "energy and enthusiasm" means you SUCCEED more often than not, and not languish in refugee camps weeping for a handout. But let us continue with this modern tale of a thousand nights and a night:
"With 1.3 million Palestinians living in heavily packed refugee camps, subject to IDF jets and militants' rockets, the 140-square-mile Strip is not a likely setting for a stable and prosperous life."
No shit Sherlock, and tell us when you first came to this brilliant conclusion? Weren't thinking about the future when you were dancing in the streets after 9/11 and having block party after block party to laugh at dead Americans? Weren't thinking about the future when you were burning the Jewish holy places, or looting the greenhouses? Weren't asking your "leaders" how this would all work once the only people capable of living in the modern world packed up and left?
You've stated it wasn't a surprise, but what were you doing in the meantime to help YOURSEVES?
"I fear that the world now thinks it can ignore us. Given the passivity of the ruling authority, Gazans need help from outside to save the next generations from poverty and extremism. Without such help, Gaza is still a prison -- it has just become a little more spacious.
"I think we were better off before the Israelis left," said Mohammed, my neighbor. "At least we were termed 'occupied,' but now we are not; we have been left alone in this barren land."
Hey, goat fucker, you DEMANDED the land, busted 'the world's" balls until popular opinion was on your side, but in all the time the Jews were in charge not ONE of you had a plan for what to do when they left, so now it's back to begging for handouts?
Read the whole thing, but if you've just eaten remember that Washington Post crybaby tales from imaginary mideastern Oliver Twist's can be deadly to a full stomach.

It's impossible to fight a perfect war but this one comes close. Forget the abject nonsense we all hear from the yellowstream media and focus on the reality that the enemy is being humbled by our men and women in uniform and thank them for these sacrifices in any way you can.
Everyone likes to know that their work is appreciated, and people preparing to offer their lives so that we might enjoy our bounty should be honored by our thoughts, words, and deeds whenever possible.
NOW GO KICK THEIR SCUMMY ASSES GUYS. Ooh-rah
Would be these the SAME Dems who've successfully fought nuclear power for the past 35 years? The SAME Dems who want a 12-year study on the effect of studded work boots on man-in-the-moon marigolds that grow too close to where pipelines MIGHT be constructed? The SAME Dems who've successfully blocked the construction of additional refineries that would have given us breathing room?
The SAME Democratic weasles, the SAME cowardly socialist pricks who fly their private jets, drive their Hummers and SUV's and yachts with the same impunity as Nero fiddle-fucking while Rome burned?
I sat in many a gas line back in the early 70's and listened to these SAME Dems screaming that we needed smaller cars and trucks and homes, and if we'd only CON-FUCKING-SERVE energy everything would be cool...there are technologies just around the corner that will save us. While socialist scum holes like France and Germany were building nuke plants to beat the band, our socialist scum holes were trying to scare every last man, woman, and child in the country with bullshit China-Syndrome rhetoric as the Arabs rubbed their greedy little hands together and laughed their goatfucking asses off at our stupidity.
None of this is remotely new and it's the late 60's, early 70's all over again. There's a war on that the loony left cannot tolerate, and once again all they are offering is the usual mind-fuck when the country needs leadership and bipartisan cooperation to get every last nuke plant we can build up and running as soon as humanly possible, every last drop of precious Alaskan oil headed this way and fuck the caribou, and refineries you shitheads, places to make gasoline from the oil in case you forgot what those big stinky smoke stacks in northern Jersey do.
We were all supoosed to be rich by now. Yes, rich. During the late 60's energy specialists were crowing over the amount of juice we'd be deriving from the nukes and how gasoline and home heating oil and natural gas would be so cheap we'd never have to figure energy costs into any budget, private or industrial.
Then the liberals fucked us, each and every one of us, as they backed the tree huggers and led us down the blind alley we find ourselves in today. Hey, their constituents don't care, the government pays THEIR bills, buys THEIR food and sets up programs to DRIVE them wherever they need to go, so keep voting the fuckers like Kennedy and Kerry and Pelosi and Feinstein and Dick the Turbin into office because what's it gonna hurt?
The day Ted Kennedy closed his eyes and came into Mary Joe's mouth, the same day he then lost control while driving over the same bridge he'd been driving over for years, the same day he swam from the car and left her to drown, that SAME day I filled the tank of my '57 Chevy with Hi-Test for around 20 cents a gallon. And psst...gues what? Gas was going to get even CHEAPER once we had the Arabs backed into a corner.
Whoops. The Arabs reacted faster and smarter than we did, and fuck the money, just losing to those towelheaded baby killers pisses me off as much as anything.
And now these gutless, brainless frigs are shouting that we need LESS DEPENDANCE on fossil fuels? Sweet mother of pearl, thank god for a good upbringing and strict gun laws.

Science Versus Creationism...
There's a lot of them, so we'll list the top ones and you can decide for yourself which Intelligent Design should be taught along with science:
Norse?
Before the earth (Midgard) was created there was the world of Muspell, a fiery place ruled by Surt, a giant dude with a giant sword. There was this other place called Niflheim and it was just one big glacier. Well, both worlds collided and from the steam there emerged a giant cow who licked things and changed them into other things and from these other things came-ith the earth. One day the giant cow and the giant dude noticed that people were walking around, and thought to themselves, how frickin' cool is THIS.
Zoroastrianism?
There was this gigunda god called Ahura Mazda, and no, he didn't make cars, he made earth. The first animal was a beautiful white bull but an evil demon ate the bull and from the bulls seed all sorts of interesting things began to grow. People were one of these things, but the evil demon was still around and ate their children but they went and hid and had more children, and many theologists believe that the first kids were liberals and that's why the demon ate them but this has never really been proven.
Born in Babylonia, Moved To Arizona?
The god of fresh water ran into the god of salt water, and pow, lotsa gods began springing up. Trouble was, the younger gods make one helluva racket and neither the water god nor the salt god could get any sleep so the salt water god killed alla the younger gods and the fresh water god was SO pissed he created monsters to guard any new gods that happened to stop by. Well, then. Lots of infighting and god wars made the gods and the monsters pretty pooped out, so they created man to do the dirty work like farming, and fishing and running for office as a Democrat.
Chariots Of The Gods Or Just Plain Old Egyptians?
Now the Egyptians had so many creation myths nobody even knows how many there were, but one day this god willed himself into being, and finding he had no place to stand, created the earth. He spat out a sun, chundered up a daughter, and bade them to sort all this stuff out and get back to him. They workedreallyreally hard and when the father god saw all they had done he started to cry, and from his tears sprang forth mankind. Later on he had to relive himself, and from this stream sprang forth leftists.
The Aztec Two-Step?
The earth mother was this gal so into snakes that she dressed like one, and all was cool until one day she was knocked up by an obsidian knife. From this copulation there sprang the goddess of the moon and 400 sons she sent to the sky to become stars. She stayed far far away from obsidian knives, but one day a feather fell from the sky and, yep, the feather knocked her up too. This time around, a giant sword-wielding dude...in full armor...comes out and he is really really ticked off that he's not an only child so he kills the goddess of the moon, but not to make mommy super-dee-duper pissed, he hurls the decapitated head as high into the sky as he can and it becomes the moon. The rest of her is one big mess and he doesn't want mom to see the carnage, so he buries it and there it stayed underground until Howard Dean sprang forth to run for the Presidency.
China? Gods That Need To Be Worshipped, Then Worshipped AGAIN an Hour Or So Later...
There was this frickin' huge ass cosmic egg that took scazillions of years to hatch, but when it did, the first being emerged, and the leftover yolk became the earth. Now, this wasn't all that steady a place to stand...being an icky old yolk and all... so the dude hadda stand around in one place for a while holding up the sky and making sure the yolk didn't just fall apart, and as he stood there he got a wicked case of the fleas and when he finally died the fleas turned into humans. Some of these flea-people STAYED more like fleas than people and so the Kennedy family name was born.
Made In Japan?
The gods got lonely as all gods get lonely when all they have to play with are other gods, so they created people. They figured that a man and a woman would be so cool because then they wouldn't have to strain themselves making any MORE people because the people could make each other. Well, lotsa problems arose as every time they tried to marry these people to one another the female would speak first and that wouldn't do so they got pissed and made more gods instead of people until the people finallygot the marriage ceremony down pat where the woman would STFU until spoken to. Now remember, this was long, long before Nancy Pelosi so give the dudes a break. How could they EVER expect what was to come...
Hindu? Check It Out Though, Broads With All Them Hands...
One day the gods noticed that holy shit, this one being they had created was growing so large he threatened to engulf the entire earth...but no, this wasn't Michael Moore but you were close...so the gods had to sacrifice the dude. Problem was, the parts took on a live all their own and from his genitals sprang Shiva the Destroyer who wastes the earth to cinders every 4 and a half billion years or so, and we're half the frig way there since the last extinction so vote Republican while you can.
The Greeks! Yay Hercules!
Okay, so there was the earth mother, Gaia. Like all broads she got super cold all the time so she created Uranus, the sky, to protect her frozened little feetsies. And not only was Uranus warm he was damned fertile, and word has it the dude was like huge ya know, and from this union sprang all kinds of gods and monsters, and Titans, until finally Zeus came along and was sick of seeing old mom screwing the neighborhood to beat the band and took the whole gig over for himself. The Titans just wouldn't settle down though, so Zeus dug this frickin' huge ass hole in the ground and tossed them in. Problem is, the hole turned out to be where the New Orleans levess were, so when they melted away the Titans jumped out, free at last to tell the media how the whole thing was the Presidents fault, but to the President credit, he didn't do like Zeus and just sent them off to Congress where there were plenty of people with experience in dealing with horrible bickering monsters.
Judeo-Christian-Islam...The Latest And Most Fought Over...
Within Genesis there are two tales of how god made it all, sort of a - well then would you believe this? God says let there be light, works his butt off for 6 days then clocks out for a much needed rest. In the second version, god makes Adam but after a time Adam gets lonely so god sneaks up on him while he's sleeping and steals a rib so's he can make Eve. And we ALL know how that worked out. The devil remembers how much trouble the Japanese had with the gals not listening to their masters, and he's pissed that god has these new toys to play with and hasn't even called or emailed him in weeks, so he entices Eve into eating god's favorite apples...really the only ones that you could make decent pies from... and that's all she wrote. They left the Garden of Eden, had lotsa kids that coupled with one another and those kids had lotsa other kids. Some were obviously retarded due to all of this inbreeding and they became the line that begat liberals.
al-Reuters At It Again
The report al-Reuters is referring too is a complicated one that requires at least a 5th graders understanding of English, hence the Congress and the Press are wallowing in confusion.
There are MORE trained Iraqi troops than ever. There are MORE highly trained Iraqi troops than ever. What the Pentagon did was raise the bar as to what was to be considered as Grade-A, if you would, in effect saying that top of the line units should have more combat experience, so we're dropping the total number of troops that are to be considered as such until they get more time facing the elephant. There aren't any fewer Iraqi battalions as 80% of ALL operations are being led by, or contain significant numbers of Iraqi's, and they ALREADY have a FAR HIGHER standard of proficiency than their predecessors under SoDam, and are light years ahead of the goat molestors in Iran.
Why WOULDN'T the President be encouraged? It's too confusing for lefties to fathom? Granted.
Bali Blows Again
BALI, Indonesia - Terrorists targeted the Indonesian tropical resort of Bali for the second time in three years Saturday with coordinated bombings that devastated seafood and noodle restaurants packed with foreigners, killing at least 25 people and wounding at least 100.
Bali has more prostitutes per square foot than Vegas did back when the mob ran things, and were Indonesia to have as many cases of AIDS as Africa, the disease would have by now eradicated Australia, New Zealand, half of The UK, and most of Kentucky.
Australians, New Zealanders, Brits, and experienced miners from the US make tons of money in Indonesia coal. The workers get paid an average of 18 cents a day, no regulatory agencies to deal with regarding safety, and miners can rape the land all they want. After spending time in the pleasure houses of Jakarta, they soon yearn for a beach to frolic upon, as a woman goes for $60 US a day, and is considered a valid expense account item. Drugs? Drugs of every imaginable high are everywhere, but one of the main reasons I stopped going to Indonesia was the out and out feeling of slave ownership that permeates the entire country.
And Then A Big Sea Monster Dug A HUGE Hole To Hide The Princess He Had Captured...
"Engineers and experts" are saying that the rapid sinking of the Louisiana coast COULD have contributed to the levee failure in New Orleans. Sure. The city and state government knew nothing about this, since the last time they spent any federal monies on levees instead of docking facilities for luxury yachts was when?
I do love how they trot out apologetic 'experts' to try and save the hides of Blanco and Nagin'..."oh wow it weren't their fault...look the ground was sinking at the same time the sky was falling!", but please bear in mind that professional does NOT mean expert.
Yanks Clinch 8th Straight Division Title
Congratulations to the players who gave their all and to ownership for never skimping. With George's money and the fans support who knows how good of a run we'd have had the past few years if the team was being run by a top notch manager.
Now This Is One Decent Rant...
Big Dick's Place
"...was wondering why is it that the people who don’t work or pay taxes are for the most part the one’s calling for the rest of us to pay for the ignorant roaches who lived below sea level and didn’t carry flood insurance?“Hey! I’m ten feet below sea level and surrounded by a wall made out of dirt. It only has to hold back the entire Gulf of Mexico. You boys put that new flat screen over there and don’t scratch anything!”What, they’re poor? Awwwwwwww damnit! I didn’t realize. I’m sorry. How about this? Fuck ‘em and feed em fish heads.Maybe if the zipperheads in question would have studied in school instead of being the assholes they were, money wouldn’t be an issue. What do ya think? Maybe?"

And While We're On The Subject Of Porkophobics...
NOVELTY pig calendars and toys have been banned from a council office — in case they offend Muslim staff.
Workers in the benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, were told to remove or cover up all pig-related items, including toys, porcelain figures, calendars and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.
Bosses acted after a Muslim complained about pig-shaped stress relievers delivered to the council in the run-up to the Islamic festival of Ramadan.
Muslims are barred from eating pork in the Koran and consider pigs unclean.
Councillor Mahbubur Rahman, a practising Muslim, backed the ban. He said: “It’s a tolerance of people’s beliefs.”
Now don't that just beat all. Sorry - been watching the Andy Griffith Marathon on TV Land. The picture of an animal is so offensive that folks have to ban poor Piglet from the workplace. These disgusting ragheads show up for work wearing tablecloths for hats, reeking of body odor, and violating every existing dress code known to man, and the cowardly Brits are fearful that even a depiction of a little bacon on the hoof will so infuriate these barbarians that they'd better play it safe and not take the chance of an office-jihad being declared.
Pitiful. A once brave and proud nation reduced to this. Can you even begin to imagine what it'll be like 10, 20 years from now? I can. Give Europe another quarter century and it's civil war.
Moslem Chaplian Resigns Before Being Sworn In...
New York Post Online Edition: postopinion
Who Almost Hired This Guy?
October 1, 2005 -- "Good thing that Intikab Habib resigned abruptly yesterday, shortly before he was to be sworn in as the New York City Fire Department's new Muslim chaplain: His decision came after publication of a stunning interview in which he raised the possibility of a wider conspiracy behind the 9/11 attacks.
"It takes two or three weeks to demolish a building like that [with fire alone]," Habib told Newsday. "But it was pulled down in a couple of hours. Was it 19 hijackers who brought it down, or was it a conspiracy?"
Well, at least he didn't say he approved of the attacks; rather, he called them "a tragic incident."
Still, First Amendment rights notwithstanding, anyone who can spout such ridiculous nonsense simply could not ever be able to minister even to a tiny minority within a department that lost 343 heroic souls in the attacks that leveled the Twin Towers.
Even the Islamic Society of Fire Department personnel, which recommended him based on his credentials as a teacher at a Queens Islamic school, agreed that he was "not the right person for the chaplain."
It IS a good thing indeed that this monstrosity disguising himself as a man of the cloth got while the getting was good, and it's been all over the web, so my two cents is late but what the hell.
The vetting process worked...well, it caught him before he could do much damage learning the ins and outs of the FDNY, and someone with those 'views' is an enemy of America regardless of what cult he hides himself behind, is the kind of someone better off kept in the dark about the workings of New Yorks Bravest. The moslems sued to get a moslem chaplain onboard and the one that NEARLY gets sworn in turns out to be an apologist for those who would harm us, as well as a moonbat extraordinaire for spouting that abject, utter nonsense about 9/11 being an inside job.
Good riddance to bad rubbish, and here's hoping the next towelhead they pick doesn't turn out to be just another cultist in hiding.

Then there's Misha from The Anti-Idiotarian Rotweiller:
"...Well, we’re here to tell you that you need not worry about that. Understand, please, that we went to this screening with our expectations at a level that even the Hubble Space Telescope would have a hard time catching a lo-res glimpse of, so we were prepared for a quite impressive downer, as a matter of fact it would be fair to say that we expected to be let down, even though we admire Joss’ work a lot and expected him to do a great job. We just couldn’t imagine that he could ever live up to what we expected of him. Him or anybody else, for that matter.
But we were impressed. Very impressed. “Wowed” would be the correct term, and we’re not easily wowed.

Getting Ready For the Move...
Blogging will be spotty; I've been doing it for over a year now at AOL and haven't missed a day, not that it would have been any great shakes...the world not hearing from me...and I never pimped myself so the readership was never a big one, but there were a few hundred dedicated souls that I never wanted to let down, so through whatever the last year brought my way I still found some time to laugh or rant about something happening somewhere.
The other reason, besides asking indulgence as I deal with this move, is to see if any of you fine people knew of any pistol ranges, or gun clubs in northern Florida. Would be much obliged if you dropped me a line at usmcgunny68@aol.com, for that or even if it's just to say hi.
I'll be popping back in here throughout the day, but right now it's been awhile since I hit the rack so it's off to get some shuteye.
