We Told You That Cindy Was Receiving Money From Leftwing Organizations...

And Now We Know From Whom...

Ankle Biting Pundits

Guess who’s paying Cindy Sheehan’s bills? Ben from Ben & Jerry's.
Quote: Sheehan's message hasn't changed since she got here but the support staff interested in getting that message out to the world has grown considerably. Organizers are set up in this house trailer. Their meetings are closed to reporters. Leading the group is Fenton Communications employee Michele Mulkey, based in San Francisco. Fenton specializes in public relations for liberal non profits. Their bills are being paid by True Majority, a non-profit set up by Ben Cohen, of Ben and Jerry's ice cream fame. Ben Cohen: "People are willing to listen to her and we want to do as much as we can to make her voice heard." Cohen's liberal group has teamed up with Berkeley-based moveon.org, an anti-Bush group co-founded by Joan Blades.

"It’s a vast leftwing conspiracy folks, not just some lil’ ole’ grieving mother."

And, to be sure it isn't just the ice-cream king spooning out cash to Windy Cindy, but it's good to know what products to never again even think of buying.

Yassertown...Terrorville...New Names For Palestinian Gaza Settlements.

New York Post Online Edition: news

Indeed, those rapscallion PaleSwines are giving serious thought to naming Gaza towns after such notable terrorists as Yasser Arafat and Ahmed Yassin. Arafat as you remember, died last year from a mysterious illness but the terror-king was long rumored to have the human immuno virus, and with his proclivity to bed anything breathing who knows what really put an end to the old tryant. Yassin also died in 2004, not from any disease but a surgical strike from an Israeli air-to-ground missile, as the Jews finally managed to rid the world of a genuine cult killing monster whose atrocities would make Hannibal Lecter blush.

"Naming communities after people responsible for dictating policies that led only to suffering and death would be counterproductive," Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said, but in his heart of heart knows full well that the words Islam, suffering, and death, all describe the same thing, and the PaleSwines will most likely begin naming their new, hospital and job-free zones after notable serial killers.

And if it weren't for the fact that they're out there begging money from the free world...their rich Arab cousins want nothing to do with them...the paint on the signs for This Way To HitlerVille would already be dry and ready to go.

Al Sharpton To Join Cindy Sheehan...

Rev. Al Sharpton Plans to Join 'Peace Mom'

Yes it's true, for who could make this up. Conman, strike that, REVEREND Al is due to hook up with Windy Cin on Sunday, and if ANYTHING could demonstrate how bogus the whole show is, the arrival of Al is certainly at the top of a short list. Nuts, traitors, scam artists and liberals. Perfect together.

Somone needs to give Howie the Dean a call and the modern remake of The 3 Stooges is complete. I'm with Ann Coulter on this one; we conservatives need MORE Windy-Cindy's to travel the country preaching their nonsense, and the next sound you'll hear is the Democratic party swirling to it's rightful place. Down the drain.

Friday Movie Review: The Brothers Grimm

The Brothers Grimm - Review - Movies - New York Times

"Mr. Damon and Mr. Ledger shout their lines and run circles around each other as they try to advance the plot. Like Colin Farrell in "Alexander," Mr. Damon is also forced to struggle with a most disenchanting handicap, namely a hairdo (or wig) that in combination with his sideburns and frock coat make him look ready for a Paul Revere and the Raiders tribute band. The director, meanwhile, ignores the forest while he tends to his magical trees, which look about as scary as breadsticks compared with the pugnacious perennials in "The Wizard of Oz." Mr. Gilliam seems familiar with fairy tales (as the resident villain, Monica Bellucci asks who's the fairest one of all), but expresses no interest in their possibilities. Here, there is absolutely nothing - not dread, not desire, not mystery - under the little red hood."

Okay, so that's the stuffy Times...what do others say...

"If only summer movies were, as a matter of course, this inventive, this modest, this interested -- even derisively -- in cultural legacies, this faithful to concept and setting."-- Michael Atkinson, VILLAGE VOICE

"The Brothers Grimm is a work of limitless invention, but it is invention without pattern, chasing itself around the screen without finding a plot."-- Roger Ebert, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

"A fractured fairy tale that's both too grim and not Grimm enough."-- Eleanor Ringel Gillespie, ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION

"A pinata of visual effects that Gilliam keeps smashing, with diminishing returns."-- Owen Gleiberman, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"Hugely ambitious but often failing to live up to those ambitions."-- Kirk Honeycutt, HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

"Deeply lost in the woods."-- Robert Koehler, VARIETY

"Maybe not terrible so much as terminally silly."-- Michael O'Sullivan, WASHINGTON POST

"There is magic in The Brothers Grimm but it's hard to locate amid all the...'stuff,' I believe is the technical phrase."-- Michael Phillips, CHICAGO TRIBUNE

Sweden's Latest Attempt At Multi-Culturalism: "Rent-A-Perv"

WSJ.com - Not a Swedish Joke

If you find yourself in Malmo, Sweden, and happen to see a homosexual, an imam and a gypsy walk into a bar, it's not a joke. These are just some of the people who can be borrowed -- yes, borrowed -- from the local library for a 45-minute chat in a nearby pub as part of an effort to fight discrimination.

Ullah Brohed pioneered the "Living Library" project earlier this month. "You sometimes hear people's prejudices and you realize that they are just uninformed," she says. And since a library exists to educate, she decided to give Swedish bigots the opportunity to come face to face with the prejudice of their choice. The Malmo library also offers a Danish man (since some Swedes and Danes don't get along too well) and, to our great embarrassment, even a journalist. "Maybe not all journalists are know-it-all and sensationalist," Ms. Brohed says.

Inspired by this example, a library in the Dutch city of Almelo plans to start its own human lending program next month. "The customers can rent a veiled Muslim woman and finally ask her all the questions they would never dare to ask if they met her on the street," says the director, Jan Krol.

An American student stops by: "So okay, I'm doin' a thesis on mass murderer's so I'll take one Iranian, gimme a couple them Iraqi's, some African dictatator's or better yet one of the UN guys who watched the massacres as they raped little boys, maybe a real German if ya got a fresh one, is it true that during high-tide the Dutch libraries let you stick your finger in a dyke, and oh yeah before I forget, throw in a fairy because they know the best places to grab a decent lunch. Take Visa?"

The Ugly Trainwreck That Is Cindy Sheehan And Why The Loonies Love Her

New York Post Online Edition: postopinion
by George Will

August 25, 2005 -- "SAD yet riveting, like a wreck by the side of the road, Cindy Sheehan, a plaything of her own sincerities and other peoples' opportunisms, has already been largely erased from the national memory by new waves of media fickleness in the service of the public's summer ennui. But before she becomes fully relegated to the role of opening act for more durable luminaries at anti-war rallies, prudent Democrats — those political snail darters, the emblematic endangered species of American politics — should consider the possibility that, although she was a burr under the president's saddle for several weeks, she is symptomatic of something that in 2008 could cause the Democratic Party a sixth loss in eight presidential elections. That something is a shrillness unlike anything heard, in living memory, from a major tendency within a major party.

Many warmhearted and mildly-attentive Americans say the president should have invited Sheehan to his kitchen table in Crawford for a cup of coffee and a serving of that low-calorie staple of democratic sentimentality — "dialogue." Well.

Since her first meeting with the president, she has called him a "lying bastard," "filth spewer," "evil maniac," "fuehrer" and the world's "biggest terrorist" who is committing "blatant genocide" and "waging a nuclear war" in Iraq. Even leaving aside her not entirely persuasive contention that someone else concocted the obviously anti-Israel and inferentially anti-Semitic elements of one of her recent e-mails — elements of a sort nowadays often found woven into ferocious left-wing rhetoric — it is difficult to imagine how the dialogue would get going.

He: "Cream and sugar?"
She: "Yes, please, filth spewer."

Do Democrats really want to embrace her variation of the Michael Moore and "Fahrenheit 9/11" school of political discourse? Evidently, yes, judging by the attendance of 12 Democratic senators at that movie's Washington premiere in June 2004, and by the lionizing of Moore at the Democratic Convention — the ovation, the seating of him with Jimmy Carter.
If liberals think that such flirtations with fanaticism had nothing to do with their 2004 defeat, they probably have nothing to learn from what conservatives did four decades earlier. But forthe record:

In the 1960s, just as conservatism was beginning to grow from a fringe tendency into what it has become — the nation's most potent persuasion — it was threatened by a boarding party of people not much, if any, loonier than Sheehan. The John Birch Society, whose catechism included the novel tenet that Dwight Eisenhower was an agent of the Kremlin, was not numerous — its membership probably never numbered more than 100,000 — but its power to taint all of conservatism was huge, particularly given the media's eagerness to abet the tainting. Responsible conservatives, especially William F. Buckley and his National Review, repelled the boarders, driving them into the dark cave where, today, they ferociously guard the secret of their size from a nation no longer curious about it.

MoveOn.org, which claims 3.3 million members and is becoming a tone-setting tail that wags the Democratic Party dog that is mostly such tails, adopted Sheehan during her Crawford demonstration, organizing 1,627 vigils around the country to express solidarity with her. But the Democratic Party, whose democratically elected chairman is Howard ("I Hate the Republicans and Everything They Stand For") Dean, is not ripe for lessons in temperate rhetoric, which may be why the Republican Party has far fewer worries than it deserves.

It is showing signs of becoming an exhausted volcano. Regarding Iraq, it is mistaking truculent asperity and tiresome repetition for Churchillian wartime eloquence. Regarding domestic policy, intellectual anemia has given rise to behavioral patterns not easily distinguished from corruption, as with the energy and transportation bills.

Yet the Democratic Party, which by now can hardly remember the far-distant past when it was a volcano not of molten rhetoric but of serious thought, seems preoccupied with the chafing around its neck. The chafing is caused by the leashes firmly gripped and impudently jerked by various groups like MoveOn.org that insist the party adopt hysteria as a policy by treating the Supreme Court nomination of John Roberts as a dire threat to liberty.
If Hillary Clinton has half the political sense her enthusiasts ascribe to her, she must be deeply anxious lest all her ongoing attempts to adopt moderation as her brand will be nullified by the increasing inclination of her party's base to succumb to siren songs sung by the likes of Sheehan. But, then, a rapidly growing portion of the base is not just succumbing to those songs, it is singing them."

Memo to Mr. Will. The Cindy Sheehan's are all the Democratic Party HAS, George, as they summarily dismiss anyone with a modicum of taste, intelligence, or fair mindedness. Their constituency consists of the contrarian, the felon, the pervert, those who love them, and no, I'm not speaking only about Ted Kennedy. By flashy ads, glitzy rock stars, an adoring media and a fawning Hollywood, they've maintained enough visibility to be an awkward adjunct to the American political system, the closeted bastard child if you will of an embarassed but still far too naive nation. This is why the likes of the street-smart used car salesmen such as Hillary Clinton know they must change their beliefs in midstream or be relegated to an unseemly smear buried amongst the detritus of history's footnotes.

Have you been keeping up with the large and (self-proclaimed) powerful web blogs of the Democratic Party, George? The hue and weep from these loonies consists primarily of the "we're not insane ENOUGH" factions that want the party to move even farther left, a notion that is sure to bring them rack and ruin should anyone with half a brain pay much attention. They BELIEVE that the government loaded explosives aboard a hijacked ariliner and killed Americans, George. They don't consider it, wonder about it, or have it gnaw away at them, they BELIEVE it.

Let 'em. In 8 years all Bill Clinton managed to accomplish was to expose his weaknesses to an ever-growing assemblage of worldwide cults that would do us harm, and we don't need the return engagement of such a weakling anytime soon.

Ann Coulter On The Liberal Press

AnnCoulter.com - Printer Friendly Article: CONSERVATIVES CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING AND LIBERAL PRESS

CONSERVATIVES CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING AND LIBERAL PRESSby Ann CoulterAugust 24, 2005

"In case you missed this week's top story, I half-agreed with something a New York Times editor wrote in a "Letter to the Editor" of his own paper. If nothing else, at least Bill Keller now knows how it feels to have to write an angry letter to the editors of The New York Times. I wouldn't have mentioned it, but now that Keller has opened the door, Judge Posner did write a ridiculous review. Reviewing a spate of books about the media last month, federal appellate court judge Richard Posner argued that all the complaints about the media from the right and left simply reflected how market forces are changing the news business.

He says the mainstream media are "more liberal than they used to be" and attributes that to "the rise of new media ... pushing the already liberal media farther left."

His premise is obviously true — no industry can remain immune from the laws of supply and demand as long as there is competition. After a century of running an oligopoly, media chieftains are now facing competition for the first time — from the Internet, radio and cable TV. The Internet alone ensures that the supply will not abate. But the result Posner sees doesn't correspond with either the laws of capitalism or my TV screen. The old media aren't moving left: They already were left. If anything, they are moving to the right. (This can be hard to detect inasmuch as Pravda was their starting point.) When they resist, they lose customers. That was precisely Keller's complaint with Posner. He objected to the idea that the august New York Times is subject to the laws of capitalism, blathering about reporters' "idealism" and their commitment to the craft of journalism, blah, blah, blah.

Of course, if I were losing readers as fast as The New York Times, I might want to believe I was immune to the laws of the market, too. Posner's description of the media, then and now, leaves the impression that he does not himself consume the news. Contrary to evidence, he says: "The rise of the conservative Fox News Channel caused CNN to shift to the left. CNN wasgoing to lose many of its conservative viewers to Fox anyway, so it made sense to increase its appeal to its remaining viewers by catering more assiduously to their political preferences." Now that's what I call a business model: American news consumers are moving to the right. Quick, let's move to the left!

It doesn't make economic sense that CNN would respond to the runaway success of Fox News by moving to the left, as Posner claims. In every other industry, competitors follow trends; they don't run from them. When a reduced-calorie snack food is introduced and becomes a hit, that doesn't "push" the other snack food companies to roll out their own "extra-calorie!" versions..."

In digesting her latest essay, I was going to say that Ann seems to have slippery-slopped herself into emphasizing the painfully obvious, until I realized that NOTHING is painfully obvious to the liberals she detests, aside from the irrefutable fact that they'll rally against virtually anything that makes common sense. So what's a scribe to do but report upon the clueless ones regardless of the fact that it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure these things out, and at some point it DOES feel as if one is speaking to a mentally handicapped child.
See, she spoiled me with those cool ass rants about Roberts and Windy-Cindy The Witch Of Crawford. Anyways, give her a click and read the whole thing.

Cindy Returns...

And not a moment too soon. Anti-War activist, senior moonbat and believer that the US government loaded explosives upon hijacked airliners and destroyed two buildings in NYC as well as blowing a gaping hole in the Pentagon, returned to Crawford Texas using funds provided by various liberal organizations.

We really need the comic relief Cin. It's the dog days of August, nothing much else is going on, and everybody was tired of your fellow lunatics carping about Judge Roberts, so welcome back to the limelight.

Brits Prepare For Life After Wussiehood

Britain Ready to Act on Extremism Law
LONDON (AP) - Britain is ready to act within days against "a number" of people to either deport them or bar them from the country under new anti-terrorism measures aimed at extremists, the government said Wednesday. Foreigners who "seek to create fear, distrust and division" will no longer be tolerated.

The Home Office was also quick to point out that no innocent Brazilians were repeatedly shot in the head during the making of this story.

Obesity Scam Once Again In The News

Once every couple of years some crackpot private organization (happy to use public funds) attempts to promote sluggish book or fitness-related material sales, and if such nonsense fosters the idea of a nanny-state then the liberal media is quite happy to hop aboard to help fleece the public and promote the liberal code that avows that none of us can take care of ourselves without government intervention.

Now we have another "study", this one founded in large part by the Atkins people that shows just how fat we all really are. No one is saying that we're a nation of stick figures, but the data and testing methods used in virtually ALL of these ludicrous studies is questionable at best and downright misleading at worst. The methods used to determine obesity do take take into consideration anything BUT body weight to height, and thusly label such notably fit persons as Arnold Schwarzeneger just too darned fat.

There ARE methods to accurately measure such things, but for the most part they remain relatively expensive and can't be done on the cheap with a mere scale and tape measure. Hydrostatic weighing for example, separates fat from muscle tissue and is an excellent manner to determine the level of obesity, but such a method doesn't make the-sky-is-falling folks any cash and certainly doesn't please the liberal loonies who'd dress us in suits of armor and regulate how we look, how we feel, and ban everything from french fries to milkshakes.

Here's the tale of the tape as seen by the Times:

Chase Must Hire From The Same Pool As AOL...And The Shallow End At That

Army Vet Gets 'Bomber' Credit Card Offer

CORONA, Calif. (AP) - The address was his, but the name on the credit-card offer took Sami Habbas by surprise: "Palestinian Bomber.""I thought it was a joke or something," said Habbas, 54, a Palestinian American who served in the U.S. Army. Habbas opened the letter, and the salutation read "Dear Palestinian Bomber."
When he called the company, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), provided his ZIP code and invitation number, two operators said to him: "Yes, Mr. Bomber, what can we do for you?"
The Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington, D.C., has asked Chase for a formal apology.
"The most important thing is to make sure this doesn't happen again, to any American, regardless of their race or religion," said Sabiha Khan, spokeswoman for the Muslim civil liberties group in Southern California.

This'd be funny...come ON now but who hasn't received something ridiculous in the mail...were it nor for CAIR getting it's little head-chopping-virgin-craving self involved. Chase will formally apologize, but if it were MY company I'd ask CAIR to first formally apologize for the horrors perpetrated by the cult it so fervently serves. Just a thought.

Brits List Terror No-No's

And Appear to Have Removed "Blowing Your Head Off For Reading A Paper On The Subway" From Their Available Options...

London bombs terror attack The Times and Sunday Times Times Online

The Home Office today published a list of "unacceptable behaviours" which will lead to the deportation or exclusion of any foreign national who commits them from the UK.
NI_MPU('middle'); According to the Home Secretary the list is indicative rather than exhaustive and covers any non-UK citizen whether in the UK or abroad.

Terrorist violence
Cannot foment, justify, glorify terrorist violence in furtherance of particular beliefs

Terrorist acts
Cannot seek to provoke others to terrorist acts

Criminal acts
Cannot foment other serious criminal activity or seek to provoke others to serious criminal acts
Inter-community violence
Cannot foster hatred which might lead to inter-community violence in the UK.

Method
Individuals who do the above by any means or medium are caught by the legislation, including:
- writing, producing, publishing or distributing material;
- public speaking including preaching
- running a website
- using a position of responsibility such as teacher, community or youth leader

Now, nowhere does it list what penalties British citizens face if found guilty of any of the above crimes, as they are all deportation and/or exclusion threats directed towards visiting cult-killers, and not resident cult-killers. Good to see the Brits changing the punishment phase from shooting you in the head for looking terroristic, to sending you home if you bad mouth the Queen. Jolly good show, chaps.

Be Careful, Doc...Only Black Guys Can Call Obese White Girls Fat-Chicks...

Woman Offended by Doc's Obesity Advice

ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - As doctors warn more patients that they should lose weight, the advice has backfired on one doctor with a woman filing a complaint with the state saying he was hurtful, not helpful. Dr. Terry Bennett says he tells obese patients their weight is bad for their health and their love lives.
Her complaint, filed about a year ago, was initially investigated by a panel of the New Hampshire Board of Medicine, which recommended that Bennett be sent a confidential letter of concern. The board rejected the suggestion in December and asked the attorney general's office to investigate.

They asked the attorney general's office to...sweet mother of pearl, doesn't law enforcement have enough on it's tiny plate without such nonsense? Then again, it DOES prove that New Hampshire really cares about it's bubble butts, because if this was California they'd be picketing the fat broads home because she was ruining the aesthetics of the neighborhood.
